Restore it to the point where it is water tight and everything works then flip it as a working project. Should be good profit and nice content. The "Fun Police" can do the interior decorating and modernization.
You could definitely sell it to someone to use as a tiny home/guest house. I'd list it, unless you guys DO want to take on a project and paint it/rewallpaper/replace everything. But there's for sure a market to have someone rehab and use it as a non-mobile home/Glamping Airbnb on their property for extra income. Anyhow, I'm glad you called CoPart and found out it WAS yours! Good luck! It was definitely worth more than $200, especially since the slide works!
Bro,keep going. RV content has huge potential, restore it. I'm actually coming to the U.S. soon and super interested in RV DIY RU-vid projects. Was thinking to buy old trashed RV,restore it and live for a year or two, can't afford to rent an apartment for 2k $ now
The buyers fees and then there the delivery fee. Sometimes the delivery fee is more than the car is worth. Thats what has kept me from buying copart cars.
you scored on the rv! refresh it, can be a fun diy project and then sell it frame looks good just need to refresh. other comment says to sell as tiny home/ guest house thats a good idea too
That table turns into bed. Pull the legs and table drops down and sits on the boards. That’s all fixable, I’ve bought several from copart and IAAI fixed them used them and sold them. DO NOT PLUG THAT INTO A 220v outlet! That is a 30amp 120v plug! Throw a marine battery on it and the slide and lights will work.
That’s a great project camper. Get yourself a garden sprayer 10% solution of bleach spray all the interior exposed joists to buy a rubber roof for that and the adhesive $1100 toss out the carpet put laminate floor down you got a camper that’s worth 10 grand depending on the age. Don’t be afraid of it well if you were even closer than I go after I just finished restoring my camper after the flood of last July 2023. Forget painting it, forget ‘glam ping’ it, it’s heap to fix it ‘properly’ I should know, I’ve owned 29 personal use campers/Rv.
I'm in Michigan and to total something like that white car, it probably had water above the seat bottoms or water intrusion in the engine. There's a few more, but those are the most common. Fix it and title it as "homemade". In Michigan, DMV will have you take it to a truck scale for a weight ticket and then they will issue a clean title. Now, IF you want to get rid of it for $250, let me know.
The roof needs some attention. As you came up ladder you can see roof material separating, very common. Repair can easily be under $200 today. Do nothing and ignore will be $1000 next year, if you do yourself
Maybe you cover it later but I’m only at 17:52 I think the higher power stuff also isn’t working because its on a different circuit, RVs usually have two types of systems, one is a 12 volt like alternator or car battery power and the other is like a household system that only works when plugged into a higher power outlet or on the generator. With every old RV I’ve seen the one thing that usually always works is the microwave, and any fans or the fan part of the AC.
The Air Conditioner only runs on A/C power 220/120 volts. This RV would be relatively simply and inexpensive to repair/rebuild to near perfect condition but the legal title situation would be a pain. Having said that their are still lots of people who would love to have it and you could still make a good profit and sell it at a big discount to titled price.
Ohhhh I need an unregistered untagged trailer lol for our Search and Rescue team. We're sleeping in cars lol. But I'm in NC. No I don't know how to bed either lol.
Lemme at it. I have a few acres that are private property, in the country. It will vanish into thin air. Ive had my property professionally appraised 2 or 3 time & NOBODY has found my buried school bus/storm shelter.
More then likely water damage or is stolen recovery most michigan salvage titles are from that or serious frame structural damage. I live in MI and have dealt with them plenty of times.
First and foremost…Dry in the roof. Eternabond, there is a paint sealer, lots of simple solutions. Then clean, cover holes and deer camping for a few grand.
Their loss ! They messed up ! I got a new computer once for $200 because it was in the wrong spot at the store in the case and should have been $400.. The manager honored the sticker on the shelf ! lol
Also I’m jealous of your Touareg now, I got no tow package, that rv behind the Touareg looks sick, kinda reminds me of the v10 pulling the airplane lol
I don’t think I recorded it sorry lol. Pretty simple though, remove the bumper and then there’s just 8 bolts holding the crash bar on, replace that with the one with a receiver but make sure you use the bolts that came with the tow package car, they’re beefier. As far as the electrical goes, the OEM tie control module isn’t very reliable so I’d recommend wiring in an aftermarket one
That will be a nice travel trailer if fixed back up and worth every penny doing so. They are a 'decent' brand and hold up pretty well for years of fun and experience. You mentioned "If you know anything about that, let me know in the comments". Well, I know everything to know about RV's. We've had everything from tent trailer to high/low to a diesel pusher to a 35ft one similar to this one to our most recent a 44 foot 5th wheel we live in full time traveling, seeing shit on the road and just doing retired stuff! If you need any assistance with that thing to know stuff about what it is, what you need and how to-s about it, I can help if you'd like. There's a .LOT TO KNOW about these things and they can become quite a pain in the ass if you're knowledge of them is minimal. I've/we've been there, done that for many decades now. Contact me if you'd like some insight, especially how you ended the video here on the front jack...... It's dead. I can tell you exactly what you'll want to put there instead of that pos!!!! PS... Yes... The black tank is the toilet. The grey is the shower and sinks! There's a lot to learn about that stuff too!!!! Chemicals, how to keep it clean and working properly. Maintenance. A LOT!
Wildwood is a Forest River RV and not known for being one of the best made, most RVs aren't well made.... They aren't made for fulltime use. So years of neglected maintenance and repairs /refurbishing cheap systems are probably in your future imo. Are you in for major work to make it right ? Otherwise clean it and flip it imo...
Yep that was definitely the jack dragging on the ground. However if you look at the Copart pictures, the jack was already bent from the previous transporter, so this guy was unable to lift it back up. I just forgot to mention that in the video.
But to keep an RV that copart/driver did a fault, you can be charged with stolen goods, or something like willingly keep information back to obtain someone's property...
In response to your question on Michigan cars on why they are not totalled. When insurance totals a car, we have the option to buy it back! We, as the owner, do not hand over the title, and when we sell it on copart or other sites, we as the owner still possess a Clean Michigan green title. But insurance did inface total it!
Ah that makes sense. I feel like in most states insurance can let you buy the car back, but it’s pretty uncommon for people to list it on Copart themselves. Good info though, thanks!
With enough effort anything can be fixed. It’s just a matter of feasibility. The oil leak you’re referring to is likely the piston ring issue on the 2.0t motor
Throw a marine grade battery on it, and do not plug that 120v plug into a 220v, it’ll push way to much power and blow fuses and power boxes left right and centre.
Yep I'm aware lol. I think there's a misunderstanding. I was saying that I might be able to retitle this as a Homebuilt RV, now that the original title is "junk" and it can't be rebuilt.
@artemvysh should have been clearer. My bad. Also your state may be different than where I live so I suppose it may not even matter for you but... you bought a camper/trailer... titling it as a camper trailer (rebuilt) would require an inspection, a weigh slip (gross weight), and some sort of vin#... I have seen where states require you assign a new vin# if it's rebuilt. I rebuilt a trailer and the state gave me the run around about it until someone at the DMV told me to buy a set of punch dies & to assign a vin# to the trailer I rebuilt. I finally got it titled. Again... good luck sir!
as someone that used to work at copart i say fuck them, also if its been sitting there sold for 8 months they wld just put it on the abandoned list then after another month make a new lot# and resell it again
Dude. Find a place to park it and you have Air BnB income if the location is decent where you place it , Easily $80-100/night with just a little interior work and maybe a cheap deck outside the doorway. You SCORED on that thing man.
Okay for one you need to pull the slide out all the way out not halfway out all the way out and you can't step on it when it's in second off black tank gray tank correct Galley tank so you have three tanks also you have a water pump and a water heater that was that those two switches on the bottom of that white box now the slide out is very important that you don't step on it when it's in and you bring it all the way out not halfway like you did cuz that wrecks it big time
No fault insurance in Michigan they don't want to pay for anything. I was hit buy a Michigan driver. Totalled my car and my neck but that insurance was a pia. My insurance in Ohio where the accident occurred paid almost everything
How can these cars be sold, especially if they’re from wrecked vehicles wouldn’t there be blood inside especially with massive damage because they have to cut the person out aren’t they biohazard?
I think most cars that are completely destroyed and are unusable for anything, even parts, do get crushed after the accident. Also if there is blood/other bodily fluids inside they do get marked as “biohazard” on the listing/title and they put a sticker on the car too.
You mentioned being redigestered in Wisconsin...if you live in Wisconsin and you want to flip it for a low profit. I'd be open to make an offer, I live in the west side of the state and have a tacoma to haul it .
Your options are fairly limited with the title the way it is, I'm sure you could sell it for more than you paid for it to someone who wants a trailer for their land up north.
If you want to sell I would be interested Im somewhat homeless I'm living in a camper that isn't liveable but I could take stuff out of mine to make it work
The table will break down into a bed , the legs will pop off and the top will sit between the benches and the back of the bench cushions go on the table top
Not on those. Typically the larger 5th wheels and toy haulers have the gen sets. None of the smaller, 30 foot range have them from the manufacturer. It would be a portable concept on this coach.
If you accept delivery you're pretty much stuck with it without legal..😮😢 You really go to make up your mind at the very beginning and refuse Delivery if it's the wrong shit Not just getting the wrong stuff but maybe somebody else's stuff get what i'm saying😊
Please don't tow the unbraked trailer with that under sized car on public roads it could kill you all. Please get advice first on towing max weights and hitch load, good luck
At 19:49 I talk about the fact that I called Copart the next day and found out that they "uploaded the wrong pictures" tot he website and that this in fact is my RV.
No title . Stay clear of. Because they sent u wrong one u wont get the correct title either sadly great buy nad choice could try telling them and they mite have the title for it. What u got to lose
