Hello my dear!! I’m so amazed by your eggplant and corn!! While you have had fires we have had hail which decimated our greens (escarole, kale and Swiss chard) and made many tomatoes fall to the ground. We have had three storms with hail this summer and more tornado warnings than we’ve ever experienced so it has been a difficult summer globally!! Your mother’s sweater is turning out so beautifully!!! The fit looks perfect!

The sweater for your Mom is beautiful! ❤ I am glad that the fire did not come closer to you, -it is horrible how the world is burning and flooded at the same time! Btw, the crinkling noise is not so terrible, somebody back when started to apologize for it, now everybody does it.... I personally find it much more distracting when the podcaster constantly apologizes for noise, light and fiddles with the camera all the time.😅 But thats only me, others might feel different. I was caught by '68 balls of Drops', because I got about 30 some years ago, a lot of LIMA, but I haven’t used them up so far… Since my hair is grey I don’t like to wear grey, so petrol, navy blue, green and wine red are now my colors. I’ve sometimes asked myself, what enthusiastic knitters in warm or hot areas are knitting, so I was astonished to see your warm sweaters and socks. I like Drops Lima a lot, Nord I have bought but still haven't tried it yet. Too little time to knit, because there's no such thing as too much yarn! eheheh It must be so lovely to be able to go outside to your garden and pick veggies and fruit straight from the tree! I have yet to try any of the Drops yarn, but your sweaters always look so lovely that I am convinced I now need to place an order. I'm so thankful you and your family are safe from the fires, Ivanna! Four and a half years ago, my daughter and her family, as well as my granddaughter and her family lost everything in a wildfire that swept their entire town off the map. Good morning Ivana, Thank you for sharing your wonderful life in Cyprus. Your vegetables look so healthy and bountiful, the mediterranian life is so beneficial to humans! Your family is very fortunate to receive the beautiful knitted gifts from your hands and when you find the serious deals for great quality yarns you can sustain the work of your hands! Knitting keeps us mentally healthy and to have a sweater that looks as gorgeous as yours do is the perfect gift. Spending $$ on the yarn quantity is the best investment and everytime they wear your garments will be like getting the gift all over again. Not like getting some coupon for dinner at a restaurant which evaporates after it's over!!! I like your idea of keeping in the basic color families as they go with other things in the wardrobe. I had a nice morning with you and hope you and family get back on the sleep schedule. Life is much better when we get a good sleep and wake refreshed. Love the recommendation of Nord. Im a huge fan of Drops also, cant go past their pricing, and just beautiful yarn. I do find my lima sweater and my nepal sweater both pill a lot, the nepal more so, but im not sure if thats more my gauge, or the nature of this yarn. Nord will definitely be in my next order though! Thanks for sharing.

Ivana. Great vlog! I recently knitted socks with Nord and love how soft they turned out. Reordered during their sale so I can knit a couple of ' jumpers'. So glad I did because yours looks amazing and fits you so well.. In terms of Flora, I feel the exact same way. I think for me it feels like I'm knitting with a cotton base when I want to be knitting with wool.

I love nord. Its hard to believe it has any synthetic quality added , (unlike their other sock yarns.). Sometimes I knit the leg parts with their alpaca and the foot with nord. The green mix and the petrol have exact colour matches and of course the greys, black, white and navy match. Onlqy because I like to only use synthetics where necessary. i

You just made my Sunday morning here Ivana. What a wonderful day to start my Sunday! I am truly enjoying your podcast. Every time you feature a yarn, I tell myself "Oh, I want to buy that one." Haha... The sweaters are absolutely stunning. I have never tried Drops and it is one of the yarn brands that I would love to try someday. I need to get my stash down to a certain size first before I buy more yarns. LOL... Have a blessed day... and we will see you again on your next podcast.

Drops Nord is a very nice, soft yarn and comes in pretty colours. I don't understand why it's sold as sock yarn, though, because it does need to be hand washed and felts in the washing machine. I wash all my socks in a normal wash and other wool garments on a wool wash and Nord doesn't stand up to this, unfortunately. Therefore I have not used it again.

Your sweaters are always so polished Ivana I am sure your mom will love it. And 68 balls of Nord for that price is truly a steal. I am looking to use more neutral colors In the future and I get lots.of inspiration from your makes ❤

Hi Ivana, wonderful as always. I love that you are doing these regularly 💕 I bought a load of drops mohair last Xmas at the sale. I’m not fussy (thankfully) so this yarn works for me. I like the nord too. It’s so lovely to give hand made gifts, I’ve done it for decades. Your family must get so excited as your makes are amazing. Thanks for the fun and btw you’re not puffy 🤣 I was up late a little while ago, my son came to visit. Got to bed about 4 and still got up at 6 and was wrecked for days 😩😬 Getting older certainly sucks in some areas. I’m not good with sleeping easily, most of my family can sleep standing up in a rock concert, me: in bed all calm and I’m like nope….. 🤭😂 Take care, Karen 😘

I am making a few sweaters for myself for the winter and when i finish i may make one for each of my sisters...i wouldnt have thought about making sweaters for them if i hadnt watched your videos 😊 i think giving a hand-made sweater is a great gift and very special.

Every time I see your sweaters, I’m just itching to cast on! (But determined to finish what’s on my needles first… Calliope sweater by Espace tricot…, and I’ve also fallen down a bit of a crochet blanket rabbit hole). Your knitting is just so neat. I’ve knitted a Musselburgh Hat with drops Nord. It’s so soft. Although it’s meant for socks, I somehow didn’t feel it would hold up, so it’s good to hear your opinion. Do you machine wash your socks too? I tried knitting a cardigan with Flora a few years back now, and didn’t like it either. It didn’t make a nice fabric. I ripped it out and gave the yarn away. It didn’t occur to me to hold it with something else back then. Nowadays just about everything is knitted with yarns held double. I don’t really enjoy it as much as a single strand though, I keep missing bits 😵‍💫. There is nothing quite like home grown veggies. They taste so much better. Glad you escaped the wild fires. Hope the weather cools down soon. 🧦

So inspiring as always. It’s felt very autumnal here in the U.K. recently so I’m planning the jumpers I’d like to knit over the coming months. I’ve yet to knit a 4ply jumper but am very tempted to add one to my list after seeing all the lovely yarn you purchased. 😊❤️

I love the drops yarns too, and always look out for the sales. I tend to buy from Wool Warehouse: I'm in the UK. Brexit has messed so many things up. The climate change heatwaves and fires make my heart hurt. I feel so sad about it, and the escalation of changes. Stay safe, Nicky x
