I don't want to be the one negative comment, but I'd personally be pretty disappointed by this lucky pack! I should admit that I'm very picky, and even though AP owns my entire wardrobe, the recent releases haven't been great. So, I would never buy a lucky pack where I didn't know what was inside. It's hard because like you said in your video, most of these lucky packs contain dresses/accessories that just didn't sell well (I wish they went back to designing dresses specific for lucky packs, like Dream Fantasy). Even at the reduced prices, it's not something I'd spend money on just because it's cheap. I could see these packs being good for beginners who simply want to own some Japanese brand and want to try multiple styles. But for seasoned lolitas who have a solid wardrobe and style, they seem too risky!
Yeah I totally get that. For me I wanted the experience of being surprised and challenged to coordinate them and to make this video, but if you're only willing to spend your money on certain kinds of pieces, it's not worth it.
I remember seeing someone redesign Spooky Night Doll because it was so disappointing. You actually made it look rather cute though! Still not my favourite design by AP. I'm very particular about what pieces I buy so I don't go for lucky bags even though I love the experience of the surprise. I did try LeFlacon once though.
love the wine red dress such a beautiful color looks good with snow backdrop . adn love the outfit you made with first light pink dress with a black turtleneck .
It was fun watching, it's exciting to see what you got and how you style it 😀 just sometimes I wonder what AP is thinking... I don't wanna sound too mean, but the pink dress looks more like a cheap dress from aliexpress, not sth that originally did cost 200 USD. Still, you make it look cute :) and the red dress is actually pretty.
As a plus size lolita, I never buy any luckpacks because even if I did buy one, nothing would, me. That being said, It was fun to see what AP included this year!
I almost bought an AP lucky pack in the early 2000s and I was so relieved I didn't. The design was fine but it would have come halfway up my upper legs, it was so short. So if you're not exactly the size AP patterns their stuff for you're going to have fit issues and lucky bags are probably too much of a gamble.
I’m really hesitant with lucky bags because I’m so fussy with my clothes and it turns into a waste of money for me to get a bunch of stuff I don’t like. I’ve only done a couple of accessories pieces and one from RoseMarie where Ayumi let us choose the main piece
Worth it?: I think from a money pov this is worth it. The value of the contents exceeds what you paid for it. From a personal taste pov I would never get lucky bags since I'm too picky. I also don't like new AP. I really like lucky bag unboxings and try on videos though. So at first I thought the red dress was going to be a challenge to coord since it didn't come with a matching hair accessory and the color is not common, but you did a great job with both coords and I like the red dress the most. The first coord was great but I think it could be improved if the shoes were heels. Great job on the video Jemma!
I also got an AP lucky pack and it had the same exact actress lace op, headbow but in red, and socks but in white! But instead of the jsk I got the dreamy stage op. Looks like they had a ton of stock from very few releases. I decided to sell all of what I got in mine and it looks like I'm not the only one... lace market has so many of these floating around now 😭💔
I bought this lucky pack too! I have to have my shopping service ship it to me. I always take forever because when I think I'm ready to ship it, I find another dress I "need". Lol
I remember when I first found your t.t! I was so inspired and I still am. I really want to wear lolita but everytime I talk to someone about it they say something bad. To be honest I am scared people are gonna judge me.
i’ve never done a lucky pack before bc i’m new and also don’t really know much about them, are there like, different sizes for the items to choose from when you buy them?
