Bulk vintage have a bad reputation. Also @justoldstuff mentioned that the owner has an offending history of the type you wouldn’t want to support.

Brother, I knew as soon as you mentioned there name you was in for a rough ride. How they have got away with the quality they bale baffles me. What they do is handpick through every item they get and it gets put in a handpick section for them to sell at a higher price per item. I remember using them once for shoes and i sent them back it was that bad. Paid £300 for branded shoes and the biggest brand I got was 'Bangra knights'. Don't listen to there policy of 'no returns, credit only legally you have rights and proof of the quality you received. I got a full refund. They claim a 10% mistake rate. What you got was worse. Given your platform and audience on here they will be kicking themselves they didn't send you an influencer bundle handpicked cream to make viewers buy the bales you received. There's ALOT of people who have literally been scammed by these bellends.

Dave, find some local physical auctions so you can go and have a look before you bid. Never let me down. Some weeks I spend a couple of thousand, some weeks nothing. Always interesting and always lessons to be learned.

@@Bewareofthewolves Not as much as you’d think. Mainly unusual items, leather goods, bulk lots like shoes, hats, gloves, socks. Largely depends on the day and time of year.

I’d have to wash anything washable and dry them on hangers , they’d maybe look a bit better if the creasing came out and probably smell better too .

A lot of these jackets reminded me more of The Scousers from The Harry Enfield Show.The items you considered binning,try seeing if they wouold be any good for your local homeless community,because as long as they offer some warmth the aesthetics don't really matter

😂😂 calm down, calm down. Good idea donating them though. There are a couple of Brick shops not far from me that support the homeless. Sadly, I think even they would reject a lot of this stuff. They have a lot more better quality stuff coming in all the time.

Typical Bulk Vintage crap. There’s way more than 10% that their disclaimer states. In my early days I was ripped off by this company. Stay clear. Too many damaged, too many low quality. After fees and postage I think you’ll be lucky to break even. Great video poor stock.

I've recently seen another UK reseller do one of their bales and he ended up with a load of carhart stuff but a lot of it was embroidered with American company names. Going by what you've got here as well it seems to me that their stock comes from American thrift stores

That is the case with a lot of the vintage wholesalers, most of it is imported from the USA or places like India/Pakistan. Basically if it doesn’t sell in their thrift stores and I’m using Goodwill as an example here as they are one of the biggest (and I know they definitely do this), then they send it to the bins which is their last chances to sell. If it doesn’t sell there then it gets shipped off to sell in large scale bulk for export. That might be directly to the UK/Europe, bust via other countries like Pakistan who sort it and then export to UK/Europe.

My experience of Bulk is that they are awful..awful reputation, and shady owner. My one and only time buying a bale consisted of 25% waste (generously) and not really what I ordered. I will possibly turn a small profit on the bale I bought, but I’m still stuck with most of it trying to sell it. I am a fan of buying wholesale and I have a fantastic wholesaler now. But people, save your money and avoid Bulk.

@@JulianCresswell-li8zrI’m so sorry, I know this is an innocent question, but it’s taken me quite a few years and a lot of money to find great wholesalers, so I don’t give away my business secrets! Unfortunately (or fortunately for me!) the good wholesalers are not ones you’ll see on youtube as they don’t tend to give away free sacks to resellers on here like some do (Fleek for example!) or get talked about a lot.

I do buy wholesale and would be really dissapointed with that lot unless they were descubed as grade B/C. Your scrap rate was well over 10% so I'd be getting back to them and negotiating a partial refund. Definitely a company I'll be avoiding. I remember ordering a sack once that was supposed to have a set amount of items, from a different company to this. There was only half the items there was supposed to be. They ignored my messages and eventually I had to go through my credit card company. Took months but eventually got my 50% refund. Definitely hit and miss with some of these wholesalers. Thanks for the video though, I like seeing these hauls so please consider other companies.

That Tommy Hilfiger Harrington is modern and not from the 80s. You can tell by the neck tag. It should also have a date somewhere around the wash tag

I’m 8 mins away from watching all of this and I will say this, 15 mins in I was going to pull out as it was 40 mins long. The only reason I am watching the whole upload is because YOU make it interesting & your enthusiasm does not fade in the slightest, unreal & your designated pile philosophy is what it is. The baling creases everything to hell though, how do you deal with that issue, given a lot of the jackets are nylon,polyamide etc?

Even the sellable items have to be assigned a time limit. If making them look pretty for the pictures will take too long, I have to consider the time expense and decide what to do from there.

I’m a 5 min walk from Bulk. The bales I order used to go to their warehouse as dpd drivers just saw ‘vintage’ in the company name without reading the rest of the address. One of the staff said to me, in person, ‘ I’m glad you don’t buy our bales, you’re too close to be able throw it back in our face’ the staff know they’re sending out crap but what can they do, they follow instructions and need to work 🤷‍♂️

Hi Dave good videos as usual /, On ebay do they charge you for selling items on ebay, because I've just sold my van but the person said he was buying it then he didn't buy the van. So i sold it private and then ebay has charge 3 times. Many Thanks Dave

EBay will charge you for advertising on their platform. But it’s hard to see what has happened here without knowing the specifics. I’d give them a bell mate. If they’ve taken payment for one listing more than once, you should be due a refund on fees.

Pfft! I would be seriously wanting my coin back! The Ragmans leftovers! The funniest part of it is they are probably paying no more than 20p/50p per kilo for charity shop rags! (dependent which stores) And have flogged you the very same rags back for £7/£8 per kilo! Obviously the better stuff they have kept away from this but throwing an odd decent jacket like that Tommy one in to make the customer believe they are unfiltered! The problem with this is not only are they milking everything they can, they are also putting stuff that should be binned back into circulation! You might donate or send them to a charity again and bin some yourself. Then the circle starts again, the ragman gets the same items back and flogs em to someone else again!

Stopped buying from vintage wholesalers anymore. I've bought too many unsaleable items with little profit for the amount of time spent sorting and washing them, a waste of money. These wholesalers must be rubbing their hands at the easy money they make, and they don't even sort out the bales of clothing. Lovely jubbly.

Pricing so off my mate. Like the north face near the end you said £50-70 i would honestly be amazed if you could get £20 for it. Most others are max tenner. I would be surprised if you could squeeze any profit out of this whatsoever. Keep us posted on if bulk ever grt back to you (i doubt it, i would start a chargeback).

Never again will i buy from Bulk, renowned for absolute shite in their no sifted through sealed bales. they have a few shops up north so they definitely do sift the good stuff. also a side note, the owner of bulk is apparently being prosecuted for under age sexual conducts

Love you ABL but some of your valuations are laughable. Most you wont even get half your estimates. You pretty much got scammed. Half of them are not ‘Branded’ jackets and the other half are crappy kids/womens sizes or damaged/stained. Bulk are scammers, they have a terrible reputation for a reason. Average review on trustpilot is 2/5 from over 50 reviews.Hopefully this stops others buying from them.

Yes. But I’m really not that intelligent. So I often make mistakes more than once. No. But I’m not one to miss an opportunity. You’re absolutely right. This wouldn’t be the way to run a serious reselling business. But then again, solely buying used clothes to flip online, isn’t a serious reselling business, in my opinion. I will be throwing the majority of this bundle in the bin. But I absolutely refuse to be serious 😂😂

Dave I promise you myself & many others make an amazing living just selling used clothes online. I was an everything seller like yourself but niched in to clothing. Just don't buy any more of these bales & I hope none of the viewers do either as best case scenario you break even but also waste hours of valuable time. I make mistakes everyday too as we all do. It wasnt hate either its just too the point and thats the best way to be :) @@ABLReselling
