PLEASE READ ASAP: It's super important to have an RV mechanic check it out from top to bottom before you hand over the cash....no matter how nice these people are. Most say that's super important on older RV's.....they may or may not be telling you everything....hugs.
Almost 190k. She's built on a Chevy G30 van chassis. Did have some major work done at 150k (rebuilt the carburetor and transmission) but not surprising given her age. Everything in the coach is original, and everything still works. 😊
Lordy that guy was beyond hyper. I'm not saying he wasn't nice but.... Quite overwhelming. You will have plenty of time to take your time and get to know her. congratulations She's beautiful!!!
I enjoyed the drive on the bridge beautifully complemented by gentle music. In the midwest paint jobs are sometimes hurt by road salt. This RV has a pristine paint job. Lovely. I look forward to your making it home. The windows are amazing. You could stay in it for days without feeling hemmed in. Congratulations!
Oh good I'm glad you enjoyed the Golden gate bridge drive with the music. Yes the RV paint is in good condition. Good observation. I love that floor plan because of those windows in the back. I am going to really enjoy that feature.

So I had it at the mechanic shop yesterday to have the front brakes done and the mechanic said that my engine was in great shape and that the rig was in great shape. They didn't do a full inspection but it was just his impression after working on it.
Tee hee, You made me laugh. Thankfully a instruction manual did come with the rig so I will be reading that thoroughly from front to back. So glad to have that.

Victoria, Congratulations on your Lazy Daze! You're going to love it. Take your time to get to know it. There is a lot to comprehend in operating these things. But, you can do it! We bought ours (26RB a red, rear bath model, we call her Rosie) last summer and have been out with her about 6 times so far and have fallen head over heels in love with it! The squeaks and rattles will take some time to isolate and correct. It helps to have another person to locate them as you drive along. If you haven't already, take it to a GOOD mechanical shop and have them check the brakes out to make certain they're in good shape. I'd also recommend having the transmission fluid and filter changed if it hasn't been done yet. You might even consider getting the cooling system flushed and refilled, too. Above all else...enjoy it and welcome to the Lazy Daze family!
Yes I agree, I feel a little bit overwhelmed with all that I need to learn with it. Just spent my first day in it this morning cleaning it up. I remembered to turn on the batteries lol and I remembered that I need to turn on the water pump in order to operate the faucets. So I'm learning. I love it already. I am so excited. I have to go get a brake job on it and I'm a little surprised how expensive it is. Yikes. If I have any questions, do you mind if I ask you since you have knowledge of it?
@@victoriagoingforit6183 Victoria, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have...and if I don't have the answer, I will do my best to find it! We just had to have the brakes replaced on ours. We were actually lied to by the person we bought it from and that was a shock. Took it to Henderson's line-up in Grants Pass to get it fixed. Great people there!

I thought I remembered he said something about having the generator on but I don't know why you would do that?
@victoriagoingforit6183 Hi Victoria. You do not want the generator on while driving. And unless you need to have your refrigerator operating while traveling, make sure your propane is off. I leave the house batteries on for charging from the engine alternator. Make sure your house waterpump is off. Also, be sure the ceiling vents and fan covers, as well as all outside storage compartments are closed while driving. Enjoy your check out ride!
Yes it really is. I bought it from the second owner and both the first and the second owner took extremely good care of it and it was either stored in a garage or under a cover. I do need to get the front brakes fixed though right away. They are down to 20%.
Congratulations on finding and buying your beautiful dream camper! May you enjoy many fun adventures in it. A word of caution, for your safety, you might want to avoid posting exterior views. A popular solo woman van life RU-vidr warehoused her lovely, tricked out RV-van and started traveling/sleeping/cooking in a car after someone posted online that they'd spotted her unique vehicle somewhere; she felt it qualified as stalking and that she'd shown her van too often and clearly became alarmed. It's a shame she's no longer traveling in the van.
I really love it already. It's like a little home on wheels. So exciting. Yeah I guess people hang on to them because they're so well made so they can be harder to find. I was fully prepared to have to fly to another state to get one so to find one so close to where I live is pretty awesome. I found it in the color I wanted to. Many adventures to come. Yippee!!
Live somewhat in your area. Just wonder why you stay in middle lane when cars are passing on the right?! Pull over in slow lane. I guess I can understand when you go further north and don’t want merging cars to cut in front of you but you’re on the bridge. Sorry but that’s a pet peeve of mine.
Actually I usually am in the slow lane most of the time cuz I'm kind of a slow driver but I wanted to be in the middle lane so I could capture on film the breadth and width of the bridge. So it was a one-time thing.
