In this video I go over a Craftsman Versastack canvass side bag and share my thoughts, as well as fill it with my home tools. Have thoughts or opinions? Share them in the comments below!! Stay safe and thanks for watching!
Regarding those 4 loops above the level straps, I would attach accessory holders there. For example, a glove clip. I have a little keychain pocket that I keep ear plugs in that I would clip on there. I put a ring on my respirator so I could carabiner that to one of those loops. That way all my PPE is right there on the outside and easy to get to so less excuse to not use it. Also, that thing has a lot of outside pockets, which I really appreciate. I like working out of electricians totes, which are open top cubes, basically, with a lot of pockets on the outside as well. The pockets on the insides of these types of bags don't do it for me, especially when you've got cordless drills and nails guns and what-have-you in the bag. It can be annoying trying to get to a nail punch in one of those bottom inside pockets with all that crap in the way. So the ability to have all the most used hand tools outside, and then use the inside for the big power tools, is appealing to me. It's also $40 right now so it might be a good option for my general carpentry bag, because I'm not sure an electrician tote is big enough for that. Also locking a small part organizer to the bottom is a big deal so I can keep screws and stuff there. I considered the packout tote for that reason but I like the bag better than Milwaukee's options and packout is like $80 more for a tote/organizer combo. I'd rather put that money toward more M18 /M12 tools instead of expensive purses and Tupperware.
I recently bought the other style of tool tote. And it does have a metal clip for the tape measure. I was disappointed to see they didn’t include a chain to hold (electrical or teflon) tape rolls. But I was easily able to make something up. I haven’t used the bag yet but it seems like it’ll last and is good quality
Nice setup, I had been wondering how those would fit and look together. Thanks for showing how much can fit into the tool bag, good organization. Great review, thank you.
Thank you for your feedback! There is a possibility that I use it for professional use, and if that occurs, I will be sure to upload a new video describing it's wear capabilities.
I’m a tower technician and those loops look super handy for carabiners! I’m looking to buy the veristack pack out so that might be pack out I’m going to get
Its a great tool bag, got mine mid 2020, nice waterproof bottom, its a heavy denier polyester like 1600 weight, maybe ballistic nylon but its definitely not canvas
Actually got a TRADE-STACK bag that is really hard to find. Its 22- 5/8 inches, huge, bigger than the VersaStack bag. It was $80 but far better than any Husky bag I've seen. CMST21450.
@@AaronAnita456 I sent you a reply but apparently RU-vid blocked it. I'll try again. 24 hours ago the North Utica NY Big Blue had three left. Talk to the tool dept. guy and let him know its mid-front with tradestacks. Its not the versa-stack bag which they have elsewhere, but the CMST21450 model. He knows exactly what they are.
@@markmurto If I lived in NY, would would try going to that store. I'll check out Big blue here in AZ. On their app, it doesn't say anything, and Craftsman site says it's not even out yet. But I'll try to find one in person. Thanks, much appreciated.
