hey Jordin, I just got a pop from eBay which is worth 350 but I got it for 250. I just saw the seller is from china and the fact that shipping takes 1 and 1/2 months creeps me out a little bit. however the seller has over 6500 stars which means she is extremely reputable and there is only 1 comment saying it is a fake. could you please explain the r logo thingy to me a bit further so I can check for myself when it arrives
There are actually plenty of old pops that are real and just dont have the the trademark there. I encourage everyone who suspects that they might have a fake pop to google that specific pop and see what the box is supposed to look like.
@@batman369able thank you for letting us know ! I was looking at doctor strange 149 funko and there was no R .. I became pale until I searched it up and all the ones online don’t have the R.
on ebay, its good to check the brand in the product details section, as fakes either have "unbranded", or something outrageous like "junko pop" to try and trick you. Make sure you watch out people!
Boy one problem with the paint job is that Funko themselves don’t do such a great job painting their Pops. But , yeah I can still see this one is worse than what they do.
Over time i have gotten so much better at identifying fakes so it doesnt happen to me anymore (that often lol) but i also dont recommend people get me pops as gifts anymore either because a lot of people give me fakes thinking they found a "great deal" so i specifically ask people who arent collectors to not
You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Braylen Alberto thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Pay attention to the POP logo emblem. The real boxes will have what I consider to be a watermark of circles embedded in the logo. This is something that is difficult to reproduce on the fake boxes.
What about Spring Convention pops have a serial number on the bottom of the box? I recently bought a Plumpy Spring Convention Pop and the box has no serial number. It has th licensing info on th bottom of the box, but no serial number.
Another thing is the boots. The real one has silver outline on the feet. Fake one has whole blue boot, another thing is the color. The hair is a darker red.
Babymetal pops. High end$$$. Someone for $65 and I thought to myself it's possibly a fake. Now after seeing your video I'm even less likely to take a chance.
Thank you soo very much cause I had a fake one as well the way you can tell if it is fake if it doesn't has a serial number on the bottom of the box or on thier neck if not it is fake !!!! Thanks
I wanna say thankyou for that because mine had a serial number and it was DRM or DMR idk i forgot lol but other pops had different words so i was questionable if my pop was fake but it wasn't so phew
I’m new to this channel, thank for the info. The very first Pop I bought turned out to be a fake - and it did have the correct number on the bottom and the bar code is correct as well... ☹️
I bought a funko pop Goten recently from a retail shop in my city. I am a little worried now cause the box color is no same from the ones I saw on google, the orange from mine is a little darker. It's so hard for me to tell if its fake, I will just hope that is not
Not at all. My girlfriend and I have a few completely authentic pops that have a rattling sound inside the head. I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but my best guess is dried plastic that fell off during the head molding process.
Bro I don’t think this pop figure is fake maybe ur mistaken. I mean it literally has the dragon ball title and packaged like the real one from the inside and outside sooo idk abut that but I really appreciate what u r doing and that there is ppl in this world who care about such a thing so ty.but I hope u don’t personalize the topic about what I said
Well, I mean not caring about receiving a real one doesn’t sound like a motto a collector would go by. For one, you’d be buying a considerably worse product than the real deal. Two, the money would be going to criminals who are producing unauthorized copies. I don’t even collect pops, but I’m watching these videos because I know that pop collectors have to be mindful of where they get their stuff. Personally, I collect prize figures and nendoroids. Hell I even have an mfc account where I track my progress. Trust me you do not want to get a fake.
Hi great content! Just a question and hope you could help me. I bought a vaulted pop which is the captain america from age of ultron and noticed that the serial from the box and the pop does not match. Is it normal for old vaulted pops or did I bought a fake funko pop?
I bought a fake general grievous but I don’t even care. It still looks really close and I like.. o don’t plan on selling it so I’ll just enjoy it and pretend it’s real and not tell anyone 😅
I also got got and ended up with a full set of fake Michael Jackson Pops 🙃 ended up giving them to my mom lol. Really sucks when you think youre getting the real thing and its a total scam.
My Vegeta Super Saiyan god pop just came in today, I bought it off eBay for $30 because it’s rare & to find this specific funko pop I checked the serial number on the bottom foot of the pop, its small & the font is not even that big I even checked the bottom box for the serial number I couldn’t find a printed serial number or an indented serial number either
I like fakes but you have to know what you are getting!!!! In other words I would never buy a fake unless I meant to buy it!!! It’s so many ways to see!! The printing is a big give!!!!
Yea ebay has the ghost face and sam from trick r treat both fakes came from china in less then 2 weeks ?????anything coming from china a month at least i knew it but confussed about the r after pop i have old ones that dont have the r after pop does that mean there a fake
Hey :D i have many Naruto Pops , everyone from a “official” Seller, but I wonder why some circles where the number is in are white and some are blue , do u know something about that?
Hey I don't really comment on people's videos but need help and I really want this Funko pop (From Amazon 😅) it cost around 16 dollars. I searched it up and it says it should cost 11 dollars i think. Sorry I'm new in collecting funko pops so Idk what I'm doing. Anyways Idk if I should get it or not.
Another small but very telling giveaway is the M in animation. Fakes almost always get the M wrong. The center on the M stops half way on authentic pops. It alines with the bottom of the other letters if its fake like the M here. Ur fake god goku had the wrong M also
I saw that there was a funko app so I downloaded it but when I click on a funko pop it sometimes goes to a website called hobbydb.com and I’ve never heard of it so I don’t know if I should buy it
that's great dude for a tip but I bought a pop from the USA and it freaking FAKE. So it means fake can be all around not just in asia, So u should not say that if it came from international its fake. Just saying
This is why I will never purchase on ebay or amazon. only in person and my surrounding areas such as at the store so i know it's going to be legit and real
