@@antwilder its not a hacked xbox its just a emulator console which u can get any emulator for free lol like i have 30k plus games on my jailbroken ipad thru emulator from atari to xbox x and ps5 games lol
@@RTb0y954 idk if you understand this or not but a jailbreak is a hack...anytime you change the original os it's a hack...you don't know wtf you're talking about...reading is fundamental
Just a little heads up (from an old modder) the extra soldered in stuff won't add any extra heat to the console, so don't worry about that. Those temps are super cool for any Xbox, so turn the fans down a little if you want, get rid of some of that jet fan engine noise you got going on there 👍🏻
I used to build consoles, it's crazy seeing someone pay that much money for something he could have done himself with a few RU-vid videos and a soldering iron lol. Used xboxs are still cheap asf and rgh and jtag chips from China are also still cheap asf. I would say less than $125
Yeah nahh these systems are notoriously unreliable something like 5% made we’re actually sellable units. The heat and board flexing issues are just bad engineering. Hence the 4 iterations of this same architecture
@@Juicysmoolyay7259 oh yeah anyone who bought a phat 360 just knew it was a ticking time bomb before it red ringed lol, I used to do reflows on them all the time when I built / repaired xboxs.
I always love seeing peoples modded consoles. I almost never like them personally but it's all down to personal taste. That's what's so nice about modding. You get to make it your own.
You can replace the fans with some Noctua 40mm (or whatever size they are) which will help the noise. Also 360s have been so hacked to death, I'm sure there is a fan speed controller in the software for Aurora (I'm less familiar with it than other stuff)
The video was great and well made. just saying some stuff to clear some stuff up 1. Aurora isn't the OS. it is software that when the Xbox turns on it will automatically get told to go into aurora by Dashlaunch example. it's sort of like discord starting up when you start your computer. the Xbox has been Mod Chipped to use the JTAG/RGH Exploits 2. You were saying the Xbox 360 games such as "Watch dogs", "GTA V", & others were emulated. Just want to say these games were just loaded from the hard drive and played natively. the hardware was genuine Xbox hardware using a modded hardware 3. Xbox Live. in the video you've said it has been shut down. if were trying to connect Xbox Live on your network and fails is because "liveblock" & "livestrong" were enabled which just blocks communication between your console & the RGH. you can turn this off, but it is not recommended. you should be using stealth server and an alt account. 4. Just a suggestion to use the leaked the Microsoft Xbox 360 SDK and "xbdm.xex". which will install a tool known as "Xbox Neighbourhood" which will let you start .xex (think of this as a Windows EXE file) files on your Xbox from your pc. or copy or move files from your pc to your Xbox or vice-versa. Yes, before you connect it to your network you should enable livestrong and liveblock (basically just blocks Xbox Live)
Couldn’t have said it better. Also you do need to buy stealth server time before you can even access online, and most stealth servers provide Xbox live gold spoofing, so you don’t even need to buy Xbox live to play for most games. And debating on which stealth you have also, it’ll make the default Xbox dash board your home dashboard with just a little bit of modifications to it
@@wilfreddompierre5620 mostly all stealth servers have a Xbox live gold spoofing method, it just personal preference for which stealth server you go with. Also, most stealth servers have a “no kv mode” which means you don’t even need to buy a kv.
Like lee denson said, those temps are fine. the og 360 ran at 75 -85c on the gpu on a good day, so seeing 50c is really nice. Some of the newer revisions run cooler around 70 to 75c on GPU. Those do not have the red ring problem. if you are already seeing this chances are there is cracked solder on the GPU that was present before the seller modded it. You can take a heat gun to it once it dies (to the gpu) and get the solder crack to refuse and "fix itself" but like doing this with any GPU you are on borrowed time at this point.
Hey, I'm the maker of that console!!! Couldn't imagine one of my creations could have ended up on a RU-vid video with 1.5M views!!! I thought a regular nerd like me had bought it 😂 Cheers from Italy P.s. If it can be of any use, when I shipped the console it was just perfect, no cracking or damages whatsoever. P.p.s. About the guitar hero stuff you were right, I had no more space at home for all that junk so I said to myself : "why not"? 😂 P.p.p.s. That modded fans kit is extremely rare and has been designed and produced by the same team who exploited the security measures of the 360, the legendary Team Executer, don't forget that!
The fan might be really loud because often people would perform what was called the "12 volt fan mod". Which was done by cutting the power line to the fans and splicing it into the 12 volt power line for the DVD drive. It essentially "overclocks" the fans to run at a higher speed and remain maxxed out. You can also change fan control settings with some of the dashboard mods so they might have instead just maxed out the fan profile in the settings. But judging by all the work done on this console I think the fans are wired directly onto a 12 volt line. There is other locations that you can get 12 volt from for the fans too. Some after market fans even had adapters that split the power from the DVD drive without any need to splice wires.
Please do research on things before posting Home brew is a wide term used. For console specifically it’s used to describe running arbitrary code or “home made software” (home brew). This isn’t just “an Xbox 360 and series s/x thing” Also ds and PSP crash because there are likely no games/missing games. And 55 degrees is fine. The console and PC parts can operate fine up to 90-100degrees C. So 55 degrees is not “getting to the danger zone” And your “red ring” was no video cable plugged it. Not a genuine red ring. And please don’t say “the architecture has been changed of the console” because a chip has been added. The architecture is how the device platform is built, they’ve added an extra chip. They haven’t “changed the architecture. Loved the video, but it’s not a channel I’ll be able to sub to for being a “tech tuber” and not doing research into what things are before posting a video. Wishing you all the best man
You know you can do this yourself it's been about for years the way RU-vidrs use HACKED now a days is pathetic you got scammed as well not even worth half what you paid
I also do have a Xbox 360 elite, hacked and modded. The OG fans are also loud, but not as loud as yours in the vid. There is probably a software to lower the speed of the fans, but with these consoles it will be always better to have optimal cooling to avoid the RROD. In earlier days, after PS1 and N64, consoles were always a bit loud, just to think at the PS3 fat lady, but we are no more use to that noise, as the newer generations, starting with 360 slim, PS3 slim, Xbox One S, and Series X are so silent.
I've heard how the latest model Xbox 360s are far more easier to soft mod or something so I'm not sure why he spent a fortune on this older model with the rrod issue 🤷♀️
all the servers are not shut down. they have shut down three game servers and thats it. i still play black ops 2 and i am right now on xbox live. know what your talking bout kid
Xbox Live on Xbox 360 is still up and running. Also, you can set a button shortcut in Dash Launch so when you cold boot the Xbox or “go home” from the dashboard UI pop-up, it’ll load the standard Xbox 360 dashboard.
I've never really seen what modded Xbox 360 consoles were like, or saw photos of them a long time ago and forgotten about those. I'm, however, reminded of modded Nintendo Switch consoles I've seen where some people install "Tinfoil" and connect to a secret server or something to bypass Nintendo eShop and get digital copies games for free (I think the intention may have been to get homebrew), but then I've also seen some other people who were somehow able to play online without their consoles getting banned.
if you have an hacked console you can play online on so called "stealth servers", theyre basically xbox live server where even modded console can play together. buw you need to do your research, you cant just plug the ethernet cord and play, theres some setup to do.
A modded 360 doesn't need any visual changes .. u think because u saw this video now u know what modded Xboxs look like .. and u didn't know before .. a modded fking Xbox can look like anything I could glue a fb logo on a modded Xbox.. their is no look that modded xboxs have your comment is assine
Aurora is just one of many homebrew menus. FSD is usually the main one but you can change it to load up any homebrew or the main dash on start up. Either way nice console slims are a bit better but phats are nice too
Actually, Jasper(phat) motherboards are the best. Second is the Trinity(Slim). Aurora is a dashboard, not a menu. FSD is very outdated, but still had some great features that Aurora has yet to implement, but that is due to them wanting to rewrite some code.
You don’t know when your dealing with console that has online store your being watched all day it’s not like the PS2 original Xbox GameCube Nintendo Microsoft Sony are watching everything you do what your playing if they want to take a game away from you they can do that very simple I wouldn’t try hacking a console that had online you can’t even use action replay anymore cause of the achievements and trophies you would be able to unlock every achievement if they were still available
16:10 - It took so long because there are multiple tiny tabs that all need to be pressed down at once to open that side of the console. They use to sell console keys that were stamped steel plates with tabs exactly where they needed to be. All you did was line it up to the edge, push the tabs into the split in the case, and it would 'pop' open once they were all released.
it looks cool but you kinda got ripped off if you're in the UK there are probably many shops and people around that could have done and fully loaded one for cheap and even could have got a slim . but there are actually fan settings u just need to boot into dashlaunch and change them or aurora might also let you that thing doesn't need to be that loud with the extra cooling ROFL but I wonder what rgh chip that is gotta be a generic or knock-off like it looks like a squirt and matrix and ace mix probably just a revision I have not seen before tho lol
can buy an rgh xbox slim with games loaded and aurora for $70 on ebay and he probably ended up paying over $500 for the extra bits that honestly just made the console less practical and overly loud
Why even buy it if you're terrified of completely safe temps. No wonder it's louder than the tv, you're pushing your fans to keep it at 50c, which is really low. You could actually lower your fans and run games at 60c-70c without any issues at all, and this dude is having a nervous breakdown because it went from 50-54 🤦♂️
The Xbox 360 servers are still working, and Microsoft hasn't made any announcement about closing them. And there is no risk of bricking your xbox series when installing emulators in developer mode. And the modchip doesn't overclock the Xbox, these fans are added just for reliability reasons, to keep the old exploitable motherboard alive for as long as possible. I'll suggest you do more research in the video topic for next time.
Lucky no, it's already red lighting. I can do these newest hack RGH3 not this old setup with loads of games and emulators. Priced for a slim version and a phat version is way cheaper than this. The price was a joke.
@@malcolmgalton581 I didn't actually see what he paid for it. I just know buying modded xbox's it's a crapshoot and most of the times the ones you buy barely boot up and the system looked to be in pretty good working order. Other then the noise things.
I don't remember the screw size that you needed but, remove those x clamp's. There are plenty of guids online to show you how to do it. The x clamps are actually bad for the console. When the console heats up and, gets too hot, the board starts to heat up and, the board warps and, the GPU loosens witch causes the red ring of death. Once it cools down, everything will go back to normal. That is tell one day, it doesn't. I'm the extra cooling has helped it survive but, it's still better to remove the X clamps if possible.
@@F56JCW not really a theory. This was the primary way to fix the red ring of death on the Xbox 360. Though other consoles did use a X clamp the one on the Xbox 360 wasn't working as intended and, users found that removing the x clamp and, finding a better way to secure the heatsync. I personally fix 4 red ring of death Xbox 360s using this method. Now there where also more temporary fox's. Strangely enough one of them was to wrap the console in a blanket while it was turned on. It worked cuz it heated the whole console and, allowed the connection in the GPU to slide back in place.
@@F56JCW I looked it up to double check. I was a little. It has been years since I did 360 anything. Anyway. The x clamps wasn't good enough to keep the GPU in place because the GPU didn't have enough solder to keep it secure. The point of replacing the x clamps was to compensate for that issue
Replacing the x-clamps with screws wasn’t a very good idea. All that does is to put more pressure on the cpu and gpu which will bend the board. Don’t forget, the problem wasn’t the solder balls between the board and gpu. The problem was the balls between the gpu die and the interposer. Even Microsoft recognised that in the official Xbox documentary. Probably this Xbox was “fixed” by reflow. This would work, but is a very temporary solution. The only way to really fix it is to replace the gpu with a newer fixed one.
@@laurentiurosianu Ahh. That sucks. Should of figured though. Last time I did things like this on a 360 it was when the console was considered new Gen. People where do all sorts of wired stuff to their consoles trying to fix it. Like wrapping it in a blanket and, putting the mother board in a oven. My info is.... Dated.
what do you mean the servers are shut down? you can even interact with series x/s users with no issues. i use a 360 daily for singleplayer and multiplayer games. seems marketing made you think otherwise.
The funny thing was with rockband and Guitar Hero, the controllers where compatible with both games, I liked the stiffness of the rockband controllers, lube em up and they feel even better, replace the switches and it gets better again.
Also, that socket that the smaller additional board is connected to is a jtag port, it's used for programming the entire system. The method used on this console was JTAG, not too messy either, fairly decent install. Put some KPX on the massive cpu and gpu and you'll see those temps drop back down, also if the xclamps ain't real tight, add a thin piece of cardboard of business card under the back of them for better mounting pressure.
@@lilwoodiewood3457 dude, different controllers, different switches, different design, different feel. Have you ever played an instrument before? Try playing a knockoff strat vs a real one. Everything has differences, if you take the time to notice them.
@Sultry Pineapple first off .. I'm a music producer and composer .. so yes I play instruments .. have u ever made a song .. have u ever wrote a whole song and all the music (drums bass melody counter melody chords ) and lyrics in it .. .. second off I'm a programmer I'm a coder I'm a software engineer .. I understand how a controller works u don't .. I'm only talking about how the buttons work .. they work just like normal buttons that's why u can just plug in a normal controller and play so it's not surprising that guitar hero controllers work on rock band ..
So you've got all these qualifications, and assume no one else has, that's honestly super smart, dumbass. I answered your question. Not to mention, every retard claims they're an electrical engineer and a software engineer. It really doesn't take much brains at all to throw a bunch of colours into a track and say I made music. I didn't even need to go to class to do that, anyone with a sony erricsson phone from 2007 could do that, even a chimpanzee. Pretty sure I know how a circuit works you spoon. Next time, try to be a little more specific about your question. Seeing as you're so well trained, surely that wouldn't be difficult. Considering the world of proprietary bullshit(eg, the console gaming world) exists, it's no surprise most people assumed the two controllers where not compatible with each of the games, It wouldnt be too hard to change the location of a few buttons (say swap X and B) then the whole controller layout no longer works between both games, even though they still count as a standard controller. And if you actually knew more than me, youd know there are 2 features that dont work on guitar hero when using a rockband controller, but you didn't point them out in your previous spill of spastic bullshit so I'm going to assume you've just been talking out your ass this whole time. P.P.S a "Coder" and software engineer are the same thing numpty, go back upstairs and ask your Ma' for another cup of shut the fuck up. P.p.p.s ill also add, the buttons dont dictate anything at all, thats all down to the drivers and the mc onboard the controller.
Unless the extra fans are hard wired to 12v you can adjust the fan speed in the dashboard. Fact that it's done red ringed on you it's pretty much done either way.
@@burgerbait Those are temporary repairs, what happens is the solder bumps under the die crack due to thermal stress, and what the “fix” is (which is usually washers and bolts to replace the X-Clamps), is just pushing the defective die against the substrate. Eventually the console will display a RROD again when the motherboard warps and the die separates from the substrate again. The only way to permanently fix it is to replace the GPU (not reflow/reball it) Edit: also before you ask for the source, Microsoft stated it in a official documentary they made on the RROD, I don’t trust RU-vid to not delete my comment for adding a link in it, so just search up something like Xbox documentary RROD and a video made by Microsoft should be the first result. It has interviews with several Xbox technicians and Peter Moore himself.
3:30 -- I used to play about with custom modding PC cases back in the day. Those small fans tend to be or can be pretty loud at max RPM. However looking at the gap between the acrylic/plexiglass. Im willing to bet that the xbox will run quieter and cooler if you remove the cover and replace it with a _'steel finger guard'_ that come in many sizes and can be picked up on amazon or ebay. 100% guaranteed that the xbox will run cooler and quieter (to a certain degree) after you removed that cover. If those fans are too loud you can do a simple inline resistor mod that would knock the voltage on the fan down from 12v to 7v or 5v depending on which resistor you decide to put on. This can be done without a soldering iron if you dont have one. Just use some heat shrink tubing on both sides when you splice/twist the wires onto the resistor and you'll be fine.
lol.all this fans are garbage..maybe reduce temperature ,you have rgh xbox mod, so its got chip, there is a menu you can lower fan speed,, check termal paste thats for sure, xbox 360 is powerfull console, should last long
Absolutely shocking that GTA V originally came out on the 360/PS3 and we still haven't heard any official word from R* on GTA 6. GTA 6 will be the longest GTA title to be developed.
they did. On february last year rockstar made a tweet stating theyve been busying making a new gta title. A bit forward to 2022 a hacker leaked some gameplay
Xbox isn’t overclocked your fans are just set to 100% in dashlaunch overclocks actually are not possible and aurora does not stress the machine any more then the regular dashboard
I miss my jtagged xbox literally downloaded any games through microsoft store and had unlimited gamepass online in game items anything and i could use my main Microsoft account. Never got banned i miss. The og days
Honestly any 360 with the BenQ drives can be flashed and there is no detection method or chip required.. The liteon and hitachi drives were ones that you needed a chip for.
"Rock band wasn't the greatest music game in the world" I sadly have to agree even though I did enjoy it for a time the sheer quality of the game and lack of variety of songs was rather disappointing.
the xbox 360 servers are not shut down, if you want to play online on a modded console, you need to pay an custom server made from modders, but if you want to play normally without modded stuff, you can use xbox live, play online and etc
i remember my modded xbox from back in the day. i drove like 2 hours to someone to get it modded same day, and then got lost on the way back at like 12am in DC lol. man the good ol days.
