I Bought a HORRIBLE Pontiac Lamborghini Fiero to Restore ($6,900) // SERIES START 

This looks like an easy project to tell you the truth

That's one hell of a project. It is such a bad state, I'd never have imagined it's that bad. But I think it's going to be a frustrating blast and a great series!

$1000 was probably even too much for this.

As someone born in 1978 the countach was my poster car. I used to dream about owning 1, yea right. Then i found out about the fiero kits and it blew my mind. I'm a modder at heart and the fact that you could build your very own custom countach enticed the hell out of me. But once again, even these were out of my price range. U have my dream my friend. U have to finish it. But do it ur style. I've been waiting for u to get a new "good" project since the tesla bike and the scamborghini. Make us proud. Trick it out like only u can. Give it the "Inja" spin!! 😁😁

Scamborghini number 2 in the house! I've seen some descent Fierarris before but never a Lamborero. "To tell you the truth." Yeah! That would be refreshing! That was definitely a McLaren!

I’ve seen a few of these conversion kits done properly and they can look amazing. But this one holy sh!t!!!! 😂 Side note from what I remember the GT model was more popular for this because the base model Fiero was prone to fires, you know like a real Lamborghini🤣

I think this is Scamborghini #2. That thing is going to be an EPIC project. I'd love to see if you can get some other kind of engine in that thing so it looks decent and has an engine to match. The Fiero engine sounds like a vacuum cleaner. LOL

"To tell you the truth" is one of those filler lines people say when they're nervous. I think it fell into his lap and he just _really_ wanted that thing gone by any means. I've seen some of these that look really nice, they wouldn't pass for a real one if anyone looked closely, but it can still be a nice looking fake if it weren't so scuffled. After seeing that one white Electric Ferrari build at SEMA with the center driver's seat and removed roof, I feel like it could be a platform for an amazing custom car (not necessarily saying it has to be electric, assuming the motor actually works, of course).

Lord Kurt will have it drifting in no time. 🤣

In mint condition these can pull 15k plus. That was years ago i looked into these kits. I feel your kit and car is so hacked you'd be better off coming up with your own creation. I've seen electric AGM battery done on these which were pretty cool. I think if y'all did an electric convertible with newer battery tech you'd get your money back plus. I wish y'all luck and can't wait to see what you come up with.

If you want more power than that 2.8l v6. It’s fairly easy to swap in a supercharged 3800, or even a northstar !

Make it a removable roof 😊 a top off... and reinforce the front glass frame that would be cool

No one knows what a Countach is... All they know is that's a Lamborghini, and that's kind of all that matters, You have a nice base for a fun build to make true fun to drive car and.... If you continue that's what you should aim for.

What you buy it for and what you have to put into it.. that's going to be the final price. It looks like it's going to take A LOT of work and money to get it running and looking great. But it'll be a fun project I'm sure.

I know your not wanting to do a motor swap. But If I was going to spend any time on it I would source a 3.8 super charged out of a Grand Am Or even out of a Buick And replace that high miles 2.8 dumpster fire of a motor. As far as color? Triple black And get a KITT Light bar for the front. Have some fun with it. Its a kit car at this point anyway.

Perfect for a supercharged 3800 engine swap. Get a Buick and you can get the engine along with better transaxel assembly. Its a common swap in fieros

Would probably have been easier and cheaper to buy a Fiero and start from scratch, this thing looks like a disaster. Those doors, lol!

Youre a better man then me. As i've gotten older I have ZERO patience for lies, BS or peoples stories. That said I would have walked especially after they brother came 2+ hours later then promised and "title-less" LOL BUT if anyone can get this thing together, cool and up N running YOU can my friend. The Inja has skills and great optimism and this WILL be a cool car!!! And i'm a car guy and YES I know the Countach well I used to run my car on the boulevards back in the 80s and a few times I'd see a white one running up and down Francis Lewis Blvd in Queens. Now days NOONE hangs out there, no cars drag racing in the summers or kids hanging out in parking lots. Times and cultures have sadly changed. I'd love to go back to those times! Most young guys in Big Cities like NY don't even get their drivers licenses anymore and couldn't care less about cars. Just texting, social media and video games! GASP!! LOLOLOL How pathetic IMO

Takes a lot of guts to buy that pos for asking price, I hope you talked him down but if you're happy anyway with it so be it. You'll get a lot of great content and you've been through similar before. I know what a countach is. I used to go back and forth from Gresham to Sandy Oregon to get into trouble with my friend who lived out there. Probably about 1980, and there was a real Countach that a guy drove down Highway 26 to his job every day. It was a thing of beauty and usually he drove it nicely. One day he was by us and someone messed with him and he punched it, the wing adjusted, and he was gone. They made them for quite a few years I guess with upgrades and downgrades but they were the car of many peoples dreams at the time. I THINK Hoovie still owns a later one but he might have sold it after his troubles.

Definitely do not cut the roof and make it a convertible. For one..itll kill the look, for two the roof is probably half the structural integrity of the intire car now. If anything try to lower or get lower seats or tracks if you can. Then maybe convert the headlights to the flip ups..or atleast definitely get you the flush cover lenses that are suposed to be there. Something just doesnt look right about the headlights.

Take a close look at the countach interior, its far from high end by today's standards, as with everything purely Hand built they have lots of errors, I think you could easily get it up to countach standard without much effort if you wanted to
