You will need to take his halter off, He is still growing and if he gets bigger but the halter doesn't then it will cut into him and it's not really the best for horses (and mini horses) to wear halters every hour of every day. And if you want to have him wear a halter then you should get a leather halter they break under pressure so if He gets caught on something He won't just be sitting there. (tho you would find him in the morning I just don't think He would want to sit there all night) great video!

Make sure you give him hay in the morning and at night. Grass has a lot of sugar and too much sugar can cause problems with their feet. Also don’t leave his halter on because it can get stuck on things and it can cut their faces if they pull back or freak out while stuck

Hi Flair, Something I just wanted to tell you.. well first, I love that you’ve gotten a pony!! I’ve been a horse lover my whole life! Carlos is SO cute! The important thing I want to say is, I recommended not leaving his halter on him unless you’re handling him. I’ve seen two horses get their legs stuck in their halter and break their legs.. and well let’s just say horses don’t typically survive leg injuries.. That’s all.. I watch you’re new episode everyday, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!

A lot of people argue that you should take the halter off at all times with horses, I’ve been around both types of people. Some people believe that they can get caught up and get hurt if they have the halter on, others don’t think it matters... just the heads up so you can make the call on your own, we don’t leave them on our large horses as we want to avoid any unnecessary vet bills!

Please make sure you take the halter off of him, he is still growing, so leaving it on can cause it to cut into him. Also not all horses like carrots but try apples. And if you do decide to get him fixed call your vet and have them come out and do it.

Mustang : Wild horse Stallion : not neutered male Gelding : neutered male Mare : female horse Halter broke : comfortable with the halter Broke to ride : you can ride the horse Halters are good to keep on horses when you’re working with them, but do not leave a horse in the pasture with one. My horse got hung up on a tree before from it. It can be really bad. Did Carlos come with paper work? If so, read them! If not, get Carlos all his worming and meds up to date. You’ll eventually need a Ferrier for Carlos’s hooves. As far as the carrot situation, I think he’s too young to have a taste for them.

Take a big pvc pipe from outside of fence to feeder bucket and dump it down the tube.

If a horses ears are normal facing forward it means they are relaxed if they are turned backwards but still standing up they are listening and if they are pinned to they’re neck they are angry
