The 1 second frame skip lag is probably the wireless connection. If you "option + click" on the WiFi bars on the upper right of the laptop, you can see the connection rate (Tx Rate), and if you're on a 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, or 6Ghz band connection. Going closer to the wifi router will improve the connection speed and reduce lag. And hold the mouse cursor over the green circle on the top left of the screen to enter full screen (gaming) mode. If you are on an older wifi router, getting a new WiFi 6e router will greatly increase your laptop connection speed to the PS5. Or get a wired USB-C ethernet connection to the MacBook.
I recommend going into full screen mode on the Mac for this application. It may improve a lot of things with network latency and performance as it will go into gaming mode. That is more full window mode which is not the same.
@@feelusa The green button in the upper left corner of the window. Sometimes you will see the menu under View for Full screen. Or press fn + F keyboard shortcut. Apple talks about the benefits of Gaming mode on their website under Sonoma.
Lol, bro just got a macbook pro for PS remote play, when he could have gotten an MSI Stealth 14 studio like mine with excellent build quality and gaming capabilities.
As the proud owner of a M3 MBA 15” in the beautiful midnight (personal machine separate from a corporate device meant as an upgrade to an Intel 2018 Air that did its job, but the need for speed and hardware that included a big, beautiful screen and everything else Apple is lauded for from a fit and finish perspective (hate all you want; it’s true..whereas a brand new Surfsce would wobble on a table due to a lazy build, the MBA is built like a tank…my best friend has your Pro in space black. It’s this on crack but still recognizable as being the big brother and neither sits as a poor excuse of a product meant to get you in the door. These things are premium and function as such. So while you all have a pissing contest over your OLED screens that are slowly but surely burning a hole in your cornea, we shall be benefiting from the performance of Apple Silicon in the real world, not what the spec sheet tells us. Great vid btw, I can confirm after running some intense MK1 (almost every game runs 60hz btw). Also., I didn’t notice a lag on my Air when running the dial sense via BT, so that should be the least of your worries with the Pro. However, the dial sense is super annoying once paired once as it wants to default to disco fever flashing pairing mode for as long as it wants to without a decent fix. Yea, you must use the small hole on the back with a pin to reset, however you must do so first by plugging into your system, using a secondary controller to toggle to it in the settings and perform a reeet there. That wasn’t helpful I know but those details are available on RU-vid Cheers and happy gaming. My tag is @drustill #DrusViewz
Other then the more inky blacks and higher contrast this runs as well on an air as a pro. I use my MBA for remote play and its no different. Max on remote play is 1080p 60fps so any mac works.
Bro...your reasons for buying were bogus...haven't you ever seen RAZER , ROG, or ALIENWARE laptops? .LIKe EVERY GAMING LAPTOP ABOVE $1000 has over 144hz ...at $2k i got 240hz QHD+ with my Legion 7i ...you're either cappin or slapped your wallet to 'STREAM GAMES'...and u can't do any REAL GAMING without a proper GPU...u paid for an IPAD PRO with an InTEGRATED Keyboard and no TOUCHSCREEN....
Apple introduced gaming as a key feature in the new M3 Pro MacBook lineup, focusing on improved graphics performance. With the M3 Pro chip, the MacBook is now better optimized for gaming, featuring enhanced GPU capabilities, faster performance, and support for gaming engines like Unreal Engine and MetalFX. This marks a significant shift for Apple, traditionally not seen as a gaming platform, but now pushing its MacBooks into the gaming market by supporting more demanding titles and offering smoother gameplay. Ex- Resident Evil Village - A popular survival horror game, optimized for Mac with Apple Silicon. No Man’s Sky - A space exploration and survival game that runs smoothly on newer MacBooks. Baldur’s Gate 3 - A critically acclaimed RPG that's available for Mac, offering deep storylines and tactical combat. Fortnite - A widely popular battle royale game that’s playable on macOS, especially with better graphics performance. Shadow of the Tomb Raider - The action-adventure game has a macOS version, and the M3 Pro will handle it well. Hades - An award-winning indie roguelike dungeon crawler that's been optimized for Apple Silicon. League of Legends - One of the most popular multiplayer online battle arena games, which runs smoothly on Mac.
We are birds of a feather. I bought one to game. 😂 I just didn’t like most laptops. G16 was nice but by time I spec it and wait…. Same price or more. It’s nice though. It’s a windows MacBook for sure.
Im a mac user with a ps5 and while I do like remote play I don't understand why we can't get cloud gaming but pc gets it. Like its cloud gaming why is gate kept to pc.
You need to chabge the refresh rate of your laptop to 59.94hz otherwise it'll stutter like in your video. Make sure it's not 60hz and definitely not 120hz (promotion)
Most gaming laptops are trash, if you want to game on a computer then buy a powerful desktop. I’m going to buy this because it has multiple other uses. I can watch high-quality movies on the go.
