I am looking at getting a mini how would you score them out of ten and why?

@@Thataussiebattler Drive Experience: 8...for a small car it''s pretty darn good. As a former Porsche owner (before the kids arrives and I had to dump my 964 and 993 Carrera's), I love the way my R55 (S) drives. Practicality: 6...it is no estate van, but put an overhead storage (Thule) on this car and it has plenty of room. With the sporty Thule, it looks good too. Fine for kids in the back. Decent amount of cargo space for shopping, and fold down rear seats for larger purchases...it's manageable. Gas economy: 7...the sporty S with Turbo is a bit less economic...but it still gets decent mileage. It's not electric...but it is a small car...so mileage is certainly pretty good. Maintenance: 4...If you change the oil regularly and at a higher frequency than OEM recommended, this is a big plus and a factor. Also, be careful of the timing chain tensioner, which was recalled. If you buy one, make sure that was already replaced. A timing chain failure will run you $2.5k if the engine isn't destroyed beforehand. Also, be sure the thermostat was recently replaced if in excess of 80K KM. This little thing is complex and expensive to replace...check the maintenance record thoroughly. Quality: 7...Fit and finish are very good. It is part of the BMW family, and the fit-finish show it. Overall: 7...I still love to drive my Mini. But...it is a bit of an attention seeker when it comes to care. Get a low mileage one with a solid maintenance record and frequent oil changes. Note the tensioner thing and the thermostat.

It is a perfect car :-) if you need personality.

@@JankoLind I feel exactly the same way about Mini Coopers as you pal. If you haven't done the speaker channel swap on your car, DO IT. I loved my Mini before then when I turned the stereo into a top of the range hifi with beautiful sounds, I loved it even more. I mile every time I get in. I just bought a Cooper Clubman S, red with black roof and wheels. 138,000 miles but if I get a year or two I don't care. Top video mate. Subscribed
