Smart tip when it comes to art and framing, if there is a framing shop/gallery sticker on it, call the shop/gallery and ask them about the art. They usually know a lot about the art they frame, if they are a good company they do anyway.

Chatty Cathy was a doll I wanted when I was 3 years old. I am now 62. So anywhere from the late 50's to the early 60's. I saw one on Antique Road Show go for over $3000.00.

Oh my that white doll crib looks just like the one had when I was little except mine was wood color. That has to be more then 40-45 years old. I'm 50 and got mine when I was 2 and had it until I lost it in a house fire in 1987. That poster of Tom Selleck is WOW!! The most recent TV show he started in was Blue Bloods.

Jebus how can you not know who Tom Selleck is? He played the original Magnum PI and made those shorts a must have for all men. Plus he played in 3 Men and A Baby and now a days is on Blue Blood's. Boy are gonna get a lot for that poster. There's so many other shows he played on, including Friends. Won't be surprised if you make your money back on that alone. Love your videos. The Liberty Blue plates were made for the Bicentennial and were sold at A&P and other supermarkets in 1975- 76. Production was discontinued by 1977. It’s very collectible. I’d offer to buy your plates but I have 30 place settings - been collecting since 1975. You’ll have no problem selling them.

The sticker are professional moving companies. Every item will have a sticker with the same number so they can keep track of all your stuff. We still have some at my house from our last move.

Awesome locker; YAY for you! Nice cocktail set...I really love the frame on the very first "mean man" photo. Edit to had it looks like he had a wife :) The frames are amazing. The old 1800s photo is very cool as well. There is really great stuff here! Had no ides Selleck played volleyball! Wow! Fun facts...he 73-year-old actor is an accomplished indoor and beach volleyball player, who plays as the outside hitter for the Outrigger Canoe Club in Honolulu. Selleck is also an avid outdoorsman, marksman, firearms collector.

Tom Selleck from picture is the big wig on Blue Bloods & he was original Magnum PI Also Tom was once the honorary team captain for the US Olympic Men's Volleyball team in 1988. He was so good that he was chosen three times on the All-American team, and won the over-35 division in the National Championships twice.

The stickers you are seeing with the numbers on it are the stickers the moving companies put on our boxes/furniture/etc. to mark the number of items we have shipped with them. They start with a number and color and start packing EVERY ITEM/box/piece of furniture.. has one.. to identify it in a paper trace log when they deliver it on the other end. We stand at the door and as the items come in we mark it off the sheet as received… that way we know which ones are missing… or damaged. :-) we’re military… we move a lot! We have sometimes 6 different colored stickers on the back of our bedroom mirror! Lol

Nice video. Would you say that your storage unit investments are profitable overall or at a loss? I know people die all the time but it seems like unless someone does die unexpectedly, people are going to take out all their valuable stuff before letting the storage unit go to auction. Or the value is going to be comparable to the remaining bill on the storage unit. If storage units were all like $99 or something, then it would be totally fun and worth it. But paying $3400 for a gamble is way too stressful to be a good side hustle in my opinion.

The Liberty Blue plate is about $5 - $7 each. Those dishes were given out at grocery stores in the late 70's. Some of the unusual pieces of LB, like tea pot, coffee pot...can go for about $30 - $50 on eBay.

I just wanted to say this, Tom Selleck is a famous actor ever heard of Magnum P.I. in the 1980's. I hate to say this also but very old and valuable paintings will most likely be stored one at a time in a wooden crate that is slightly bigger that the picture and the frame, for protection.....So if you ever find a picture packed like that you might have something... Good Luck guys....

The label on the painting is just the gallery who framed it for the owner. However, the fact that he was willing to pay up to have it framed is a good sign. The first group of paintings are not that great, they will probably sell at a low price, probably $50-100. The pink thing is probably a laundry hamper. The Meakin Nordic design plates are worth a moderate amount, maybe $10 a plate or a couple $100 for a set. Somebody on Poshmark is asking $2000 for the Oscar Sport boots. The posters and paintings are probably not worth much - I don't think this guy kept his good art in the storage unit.

That China set would have to be worth a lot of money. Was it dated? Those fir boots are mokluls (sp) and could be worth many thousands depending on who crafted them. You have some really nice things right there. Remember though age doesn’t mean $,. Van Gough should be museum exhibit if it’s real. Claude Van Gough is priceless one off work. If real don’t show it. One of the early portraits looked similar to the heir to Standard Oil. Wish I had that access to that find. Well done.

Always look behind the painting or photo in the frame. I saw a guy buy a unit like this, pulled out a painting, undid the back and out pop a whole lot of cash. I just love your upbeat style. And the joking and fun.! In what has to be hard work. I don’t think I could have paid that much. But you know your work. I’m seriously thinking of doing this. The first Johnson Brothers plate is the “Blue Onion” pattern my Grandmother had a whole set of “Blue Willow” she bought years ago and they weren’t cheap. Most Johnson Brothers dishes are worth good money. People love those vintage bed sets they paint them with chalk paint and sell them for $$$$$ Love Tom Selleck ❤️ God Bless🙏🏻

When you were reading the front of the box that said a man's name and the word plant, it also said it was an aerial view of his plant, (plant being factory, not a green growing thing), you actually took that picture out of the box at 21:47.

Honestly, the same names were on everything. I know it's probably easier to miss in the moment, but after the 3rd item with the same surname, it took no more than 5 mins to find out who all of these people were, and that most of this is family sentiments

Corona Del Mar is a pretty rich area. Looks like those people lived there. Funny you mentioned CatDog. My friend was a producer on that show. Tom Selleck is a hottie. I’ve been watching old Magnum PI on the Hallmark channel and he starred in it. He wasn’t on the 1984 Olympic team though. My father worked as an athletic trainer at the track and field events for the 84 Olympics. Those posters are cool.
