Just wanted to tell you, i was the one who traded for that bulova chronograph, i got it serviced, and the date wheel fixed, and man i absolutely love it. I wear it three or four times a week lol
@@vintagesterlingfindsIf you're BOTH happy with the deal then that's a WIN WIN in my opinion! As an avid watch freak myself 😆 I absolutely loved your video! And I'm now subbed for sure!
You are absolutely right. I didn't catch what he said he spint on that box of crap but the fact that he says he can can close to 100 bucks for a woman's citizen ecodrive with a destroyed crystal tells me everything we need to know about this dudes knowledge. Citizen ecodrives are decent watches but here's the problem with what he says about that watch when he finds it. Firstly women's watches are extremely difficult to sell compared to men's watches these days, simply because women just aren't wearing wristwatches anymore unless it's an apple watch. They certainly don't wear the all petite watches anymore. The ladies who still wear traditional non-smart watches are wearing larger case size watches nearly as large as what men wear today. Then he said he was gonna replace the shattered crystal with a plastic one, and if you have any real knowledge of wristwatches these days he would know that replacing the capacitor in a eco_drive will cost him at least 35-40 dollars. If that watch did not have a shattered crystal and just needed the battery/ capacitor replaced he would be very lucky to get $12 for that watch. And if he wants to sell it he's going to have to replace that capacitor he's going to take about a $30 loss on that one single. Watch. 90% of the other watches he pulled out and pointed out that it is a quote decent watch was just originally a $5 Chinese made watch brand new that are more trouble to try and fix or even replace a simple battery then they're worth. Most people will buy those shity watches and wear them until they die and throw them away. which is what it looks like exactly what he bought, a giant box of someone's trash. The fact that he would pull out 2 fake rolexes and not disclose that either means he's foolish ebough to actually believe that someone would just toss 2 authentic rolexes in that box of trash or he thinks his audience is stupid enough to believe that they are real. I could go on and on about the amount of straight up garbage that box was full of but he's maybe got $60 dollars of total value in that entire box of watches. He would be extremely lucky to get revenge that much for them. It will take him the remainder of his life to try and sell those watches individually. Best thing he can do is pull maybe 3 or four of the Bulova caravelle's get what he can and give the rest to goodwill
@@jon9230 so I have sold women’s eco drive watches before for over $100. Once I did my research, I do agree they are not worth saving I do disagree with you, when you said women’s watches are hard to sell. I have a great time selling them, and have sold over 2000 in the last 5 years. A lot of women like the smaller vintage watches now As for the Rolex watches, they are obviously fake, and I was having a good joke when I show them. As what I do with many fake watches on the channel
I did this recently. Got a couple keepers and, yes, a fake Rolex too. My wife was laughing at me all night while I was unboxing (similar to unboxing in this vid), but she don't know what I know. No one does (except for everyone else who has gotten a mystery box of watches). Watching every second of this video! ❤❤❤it!
Franck Muller watches DO have a K. Check that one watch again. It's probably a fake...but open it up just in case. There was enough good stuff in the box to make it worth it I think. Your subscribers are becoming a really nice resource for watches! Rock on!
@@vintagesterlingfinds I wouldn't bother, would it change anything? Like lead and asbestos, radium is overrated. The radium girls literally sucked on their paint brushes and used the stuff for makeup. Limited contact with it is not going to hurt you.
I am impressed that you can repair watches! Very good. They are predicting that there is going to be a shortage of watchmakers. You already have a leg up.
Is the Eddie Bauer watch still available? Edit: I'm really confused as to why some of these people who OBVIOUSLY knows NOTHING about watches are saying this is junk etc?! Bro you've MORE than tripled your money with this lot. I say keep on buying these lots! No not all of them will be winners but THIS LOT is NOT by ANY stretch a bust/loss! Congratulations on the lot nice haul!
Thanks for posting the video. Treasure hunting like this is fun but it sucks when you spend a ton of time and don't find much. I once got three large tubs of digital watches for a few dollars. Days of digging though yuck smelling disintegrating plastic only got me two beat up, current model Casios that I could buy new for a few bucks.. Not even a dead G Shock in the lot. Was still kind of fun digging and hoping but the disappointment at the end was real.
@@vintagesterlingfinds 💯. I've already been on today. It's hard to sift through once they're listed. On the fully wound Timex's and others (I've watched a bunch of your videos already) do you sell those too? I might be interested in a pile if so. Do you only sell on eBay and Etsy, or can I also shoot you an email?
The Chinese "Garmin"-like watch with a camera is actually a phone watch, I bet it has a SIM tray as well. I used to have one of those, served me well about 5 years ago, even. I think it's called something like DZ20 or DZ50, I don't remember. It's a "feature" phone that used to have web apps for the now Meta social media, or at least for Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger. The battery time was horrible, though. Call quality was weirdly good, the camera was almost a joke.
It’s on eBay www.ebay.ca/itm/315366185947?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=xugdfe3_rj2&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=xugdfe3_rj2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I watched this with the sound off because my girlfriend was trying to sleep but I 2 or 3 rolexs like 5 with diamonds, Bulovas are always good, a crap ton of timexs but were any gold or silver? Or any even gold filled?
I got a Ziploc freezer bag last year full of watches and watch parts from a friend of my daughters and my experience with just like yours only the higher end watches that were in there were men's watches.. Along with two fake Rolex there were some higher-end antique pieces that I would like to see about selling. Do you have any advice😊 for a beginner?
There is a "K' in Franck Muller and I'd dubble check that watch buddy. Plus if that Bell & Ross is real it'll be worth a grand, you don't just skip through Bell & Ross and go on about timexes and Seiko's.
If the hope was to score something valuable - no one is ever going to toss a valuable watch in with a watch lot sale. That said, buys like might be a good way to practice your repair skills!
I love mixed lots like this but couldn't stretch to what you paid for these. I get a few nice watches to keep or sell on ,but end up with lots of working inexpensive watches nobody wants though.
@@vintagesterlingfinds There was a couple cool citizens and I'm sure with your knowledge you'll probably make money.. But your time and knowledge is definitely valuable!!
This stuff obviously belonged to somebody who knows at least a little about watches . . . so there won't be any hidden gems, like you might find in an estate sale. But for a couple of hundred bucks, it's a reasonable source of stuff that you can fix up for sale on eBay, and expect to come out ahead.
Hello watch man! Lol! Nothing bad intended! Just breaking the ice. I have a question, what do you do or how or can you do anything with fully wound watches? Are they easily fixed? Thanx for your content. It's really interesting. I have tons of watches I've found at yardsales and so on. I'm kinda lost in what to do with em. Your content is helping me figure out which brands are worth looking into! Thanx a lot and you seem to know your watched. This is 1st time watching you but, I will definitely keep watching! Sorry so long and thanx again! And don't take my opening comment the wrong way, please! Talk to ya in the future which is full of watches making a comeback! Peace out and I'm gone.....
Thanks so much for watching. Please start with this video. It’s a good place to start. I look forward to chatting more in the future ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OZNCQSlrWcg.htmlsi=bIxBiUleFo3r_cAQ
Loved your video lot of cool finds you all ready know more then I do but you should open the case backs of some of the no name watches the moments alot of the times tell you the name of the watch. The Bell and Ross can bring you a fare amount of money it looked real and the Rolex quartz-matic looked real lot's of Rolex watches in the 70's were quartz have a watch dealer look at the watch to bad the other Rolex and the Patek are fake might be wrong but get them checked to you never know love the cool pocket watches and the vintage Bulova, Citizen, Timex watches.
Thanks so much. I always double check them after the video, and pull the back off. I have been wrong twice. Once with a Gucci, the other time with a tag heuer
@@vintagesterlingfinds Oh ok cool glad to hear that you open the casbacks so many don't and toss it also good luck with you next pickup of watches I hope you find cool new watches.
When you have the knowledge one can make money on a lot of job lots sold on eBay but you end up with a lot of junk as well like most of these watches are.
@@jpdemer5 I would say a lot of the times and you salt the lot with some broken down better branded watch. I restore watches so I really don't have time for that nonsense and a broken watch is gold in parts. Just think what a pain just loosing one tiny screw can do unless you have a donor.
they make a lot of crapy watches in the world crazy if you think about it ! i think its a milion dolar industie making crapy watches crazy and a waste ..
Never buy a mystery box, why buy what you cannot see?. Your better off going to garage sales an esate sales. You will find watches worth buying . This box was horrible.
I agree, I would of liked to have paid $100 for this. A couple of the watches were ok. As for ad review, I will make a couple bucks but no where close to my money back
I bought this popular video watch from nkuwan , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
