I was fortunate to find a 2DS with a game for 30 bucks at a thrift store! I wasn’t sure if I should of bought it for my collection because I had no clue how much they go for but after a minute I just bought it, tested it home and it worked! I think it had lego Batman in it too.
The original DS(Fatboy) had a front light (I owned one with the demo for "Metroid: Prime Hunters"), the back light for the DS didn't occur until the DS Lite(which I picked up, after getting rid of my original DS).
I bought a black and blue 2DS for £5 / $7 the other day from a charity shop. No charger or stylus, it definitely works though. Had a 4gb SD card in it too.
honest to god i came back to gameboys this year ( i am 5 years old the 1st gameboy was made in 1989 you do the math ) i came back cause im fixing them to resale and an also the real reason why i started using them again was so i could make lsdj chiptune music ( im a producer ) . and i started to discover all the fun things like why does the gameboy sp doesnt have a headphone jack ( i had one when i was young didnt notice ) also ., the best all around experience is the gameboy dmg in size , etc ( i even had fun with tetris ) . anyhow second best is of course everything gameboy advance but well hehe !! yhese are very comfortable
I bought mine like this a week ago for about the same price from GameStop refurbished mine came with the top screen all scratched and a couple of dents, I felt that for the condition of the product it wasn't worth it for what I paid but I kept it because probably in the future I can just replace the top part for another one. (I hope)
i got one 2 years ago and it broke a few months later :( and for awhile i HATED gamestop bc of it! >:( BUT it mightve broke bc of mods! since i think i was supposed to use mario kart 7 to mod it :| but i didnt :/ srry for the long story lol BUT THIS YEAR AFTER CHRISTMAS IMMA TRY AGAIN BUT WITH A 2DS :D wish me luck whoever you are random commenter if you see this :)
Mario kart 7 came out 2011. You thinking of mario kart ds? Also Nintendo 1st party tend to be evergreen as in they won't ever go down really cheap (as new)
Lol i got my younger sister's old 2ds which had a broken lcd and i replaced it with a $38 screen from AliExpress the only issue is a little blue line that if you don't notice it seemms like its not there (this is kinda unrelated)
I have a question, my gamestop is currently sold out on pre-owned and refurbished Nintendo 2ds's. When I check on the website, they are also sold out on pre-owned ones and can only ship me a refurbished one. Should I wait or take the risk?
@@evhrz I got my first one a month ago. Here are some tips. BUY A NINTENDO CASE/SCREEN PROTECTOR (Not off Amazon) Next get a repair kit. Extra screen and motherboard.
Mine is still in perfect condition with no cracks so I don’t need to fix it I saw you wanted a original DS so just to say I have one with no cracks also
That isn't the original screen lens for blue 2DS. The original has blue edges around screen, but this one has black. Also blue 2DS comes with blue stylus, not black.
I always had a strong dislike of the 2DS. The original design was annoying and it felt redundant. I'm glad I grew up with my New 3DS XL. That was my childhood. (Well, teenagehood would be more accurate 😐)
@@damienbreslin6204 because it doesnt have extra controllers to be flimsy, you can play for a while without your hands cramping, and its backwards compatible
I used to have the red and black one but i broke it on accident the charger thing at my second house but on july 5 2017 I bought a 2ds blue and black now
A lot of ds 3ds 2ds come with dust from Nintendo that's just how some came you can actually send it to Nintendo to replace the screen and remove that dust because its Nintendos fault why some of the consoles from the da line has dust under the screen
Nintendo DS Nintendo DS Lite Nintendo DSi Nintendo DSi XL Nintendo 3DS Nintendo 3DS XL Nintendo 2DS New Nintendo 3DS New Nintendo 3DS XL New Nintendo 2DS XL
The eternal mystery: why does YT recommend your videos about 8 month late? Also after 4 videos I have the feeling that you buy everything expensive (vitatv for 200+, switch lite for 400+, even this was a good 20usd above an ok price), have unrealistic expectations (almost like wanting the power of a top-end pc or a ps5 on a device 5+ years old) and have no idea what to do with the devices besides the unboxing video (which is fair as you get revenue on the unboxings). for this video: that speck under the glass that bothers you so much looks like an air bubble under a screen protector.
You remarked that you believe that the original DS doesn't have a back-lit screen. This is untrue quite simply. The first Nintendo handheld with a back-lit screen was (as you may already know, maybe not though) the Gameboy Advance SP. It was also the first Nintendo handheld to have a built-in rechargeable battery. All Nintendo handheld systems that followed, including the original DS, had both a back-lit screen and a built-in rechargeable battery. No the backlight on the original DS wasn't as good (rather bright you may say) as on the one's that followed (such as the DS Lite) and similarly the rechargeable battery didn't give as long of a charge as the one's that followed (again, such as the DS Lite), but the point is they did still have those 2 popular features.
