Welcome to Episode 3 of... The Texas Load! We're driving 2,800 miles round trip to buy a 900lb (!!!) lot of untested video game consoles, and on the way, we're stopping at as many retro video games stores as possible to buy cool stuff! This reminds me of the time I watched my local game store owner repairing a Wii. He opened it up and proceeded to pull out FOUR discs from inside. Apparently whoever owned it before they traded it in had trouble getting them to read so they just... kept putting them in? I had pictures, but they're lost to time.

I picked up a Wii super cheap from my friend - swapped it for an Xbox kinect and a lil cash my way. His nephew had sandwiched 3 disks together and forced it into the disk tray. He immediately turned it off and a month later traded it to me, I literally pressed eject and 2 games came out at once along with a LOT of noise, I then had to open it and remove the final disk. Thing still works today and is sat in my living room

I'd guess you have to check-out by a certain time to save having to pay for a further day? Just a thought! (I am just guessing though!). Perhaps it's a pre-booked room and it's cheaper if you vacate by a certain time?

I mean, most of them are pretty close to market value… depending on where the game store is located, prices will be inflated a bit over price charting. And most of the store negotiate. Video games are just expensive.

I do agree these prices are a little outrageous, but these consoles aren’t being made anymore and it’s probably very rare to find any of these consoles and their accessories still wrapped up in their original packaging

@@supertyty0449The Gamecube controller is Understandable, but the Wii and accessories are not. The Wii sold 100 million units and Wii Sports and Mario Kart Wii are literally the best selling Wii games so it's not like there's a shortage in games or anything

In Australia you can get a complete copy of Wii sports with case and manual for $7 AUD, $25 USD for Wii sports not even in the case seems like a joke lol

Those sleeves are the most common case for wii sports in the US lol but $20-$30 is pretty accurate Also NTSC seems to be more expensive than PAL for most games

@@Dargox59 I know... but like... its hard for my brain to not see mario kart wii in any condition as more than 30 bucks 😂 I know they're already way more nowadays but my childhood brain can't accept it. The fact that so many were owned by kids is exactly why a nice one is so expensive, but it still doesn't fully compute 😂
