I bought the Pavlok 2 and Shock Clock but only to use as an alarm clock. It works for me as a fool proof back up alarm. I upgraded to Pavlok 3 since you can set different electric shock levels with each alarm (so I start at 10% and then with each alarm I increase the shock level by 10% more). I usually don't need the shock before I get up, but it is there just in case, I have insomnia and often I only get 3 or 4 hours sleep before I HAVE to get up on time to get ready for work. I am sure most people are in same situation you cannot be late for college courses or school. For a couple hundred dollar it is well worth it, having the insurance.
I’m on the same quest you are, there seems to be so many bad reviews of this products, or it stops working outside of the very limited return window. So, do I buy it? Do I bite the bullet? It seems like some of the good reviews were fraud or were not updated.
So... an old method of retraining the brain out of bad habits is putting a rubberband on your wrist and snapping yourself when you have a craving to do an undesired habit. This Pavlok seems to be pretty much a $180 rubber band. What you're paying for on top of the expensive rubber band is the app and the monthly subscription (this seems to be no longer active). Seems like a very Rube Goldber-esqe and expensive way to stop a habit. The most positive and frequent comment I find about this is that it makes an excellent (and expensive) alarm clock. Nope
It’s a great alarm clock for deep sleepers or people who have trouble getting out of bed because once it starts shocking you it requires you to literally get out of bed to do jumping jacks. That’s where it differs
Wow! Well done in your videos in sharing you knowledge experience and expertise I've rseen alot of reviews some good some decent others terrible I like the way you gave an in depth thought of likes, and dislikes about it and the quality of the video was very good too. At first I couldn't justify paying so much for a watch that shocks you to get out of bed coz in reality that's all it is just an alarm clock but if your like e a heavy sleeper that presses snooze all the time thus is the only way especially from the reviews I've seen from people in my similar position and this was the only thing that worked from someone who was about to lose there job and more I've seen other imitations that do the same thing even have a clock and actually looks like a proper smart watch but the first two and only reviews said don't buy rubbish doest work not worth the money send at 30 more I'd rather get something that's tried tried tested and science backed with lots of decent reviews so I've made up my mind thanks to you and just bite the bullet and buy one u know yourxa student and money is tight much like everyone else but if ou can do a review on some alternatives to the shock clock so we can have a comparison if you can I'd be very grateful as I'm sure many others would anyway peace love respect and honour 🎖 my brother
