Wow Paul. That is awesome. I’ve always wanted one and to see how simple the process is really gives me the itch to get one. Can’t wait to see some shooting vids and thank you for sharing.
This is a hearing protection device, not anything to do with a firearm's operation or lethality. It should not be taxed as it is, nor should it be such a difficult item to get. Yes it is far less difficult to get now, as it should have been all along, but it should be no different than picking up a gallon of milk.
In Switzerland they are still regulated through a "may issue" permit (100CHF or roughly 100 USD) which allows us to buy up to three silencers from the same seller (private or FFL). Fortunately most of the cantons seem to be quite willing since a few years to give out silencer permits. In Germany they are also regulated, only hunters and possibly collectors have a "reason/need" to buy them, sport shooters don't have a "need" (according to the law) and thus can't buy them. France is quite non restrictive, as long as you are a sport shooter, you can buy them without permit. Scandinavia is also very non restrictive, Czech Republic and Slovenia as well.
Man that's bullshit I have a can I have been waiting on since October. Bought another Feb through silencer shop and still no word this is my eighth one pure bullshit!!!!
