That agatized wood has got me drooling! I would 💯 purchase a piece of that if you were selling. I would love to have a pendant made from it. Congrats on the new saw. Can't wait to see more cuts!

Congrats on your new slab saw! I must say, that was the most satisfying cutting video I have EVER seen. I loved the blue/purple moss agate, then the (coolest) agatized wood with little stained glass agate windows inside!! Wow! So much fun. We know how long it takes to cut those too and you didn't make us wait to get to the good stuff. Thanks!
Getting a slab saw of your own is always great. Now you can cut slabs all year long. Eventually, you will have so many slabs you will have to high-grade out the "lesser" ones. I've been cutting slabs for years now and keep high-grading all the time. I guesstimate I've got around 5,000 slabs and I keep cutting more all the time. Like you showed in your video today, seeing what's inside them is like opening a present every time! I hope you get years of enjoyment out of that little saw and let me know when you catch up to me on the slabs. ;-)

Just awesome! Just stunning! I agree with your favorites. The purple banded agate has to be my favorite, and the the pet wood! But they were all gorgeous! Third has to be the agatized coral. Yeah!!!! What fun!!! Had some plans today but after watching this my plans have changed. Have a need to cut rock all of a sudden. This rock thing is addictive and a universal language, I don't believe I've ever met someone who could look at a specimen and not be entranced by the beauty and wonder. Built in to human experience are stone's, and knowing their properties was quite important. Deeply seeded ingrained memories at a genetic level me thinks. Have a good time Theo
Cool you get to cut what you get to hunt for. Looks like fun too. The pet woot with all little agate would have been interesting to see if the depth would show cut at slight angle. I really enjoy your videos.
Very good saw, glad to see you got that one rather than some other brands. One change you may want to consider doing, the plywood wood faces for the grips on the vice, that is not original to the saw. You might want to consider replacing those with something like birch, a wood that is softer so the stone can be dug into the wood to help hold it better. If you do this, treat the wood as a consumable item and replace as needed. Also you might want to make some wedge shape pieces of wood of different lengths different thicknesses so you can help support the rocks better in the saw. For the remaining chunk of rock, get some pieces of 4x4, cut down to blocks and get some liquid glass, the. Glue the remaining rock onto the wood, cure for 24 hours, mount the block of wood in the vice and continue cutting. Put in a bucket of water for a day to release the last slab. Gorilla wood glue also works. Have fun cutting!!!!

Theo, l have seen, and have, quite a bit of petwood, some Palm. NEVER have l seen anything like that. STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. I am partial to Palm as it is our state rock. (Texas). Thank you

Ooooh nice! We are so tempted to get one of those next. We found a large purple banded agate in Southern Utah a couple of months ago. It's a yard rock since it's too big to cut! Have fun with your new toy. 😊
