I’ll never understand Wish 😂 there are so many odd things about the listing and this console. If you’d like to see me talk more about this console: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--qZHxYhFoFw.html
Just fyi if you are looking to buy it from my site, sign up for the newsletter on my site and you’ll get a discount code to save a chunk of money. Free shipping as well
It's possible that the original owner took it out of the box and the screen was defective from the start. The unit was returned / exchanged, the screen was changed out to the current screen, and it was put up for sale on WISH. That's why all the accessories look brand new. You got lucky to get this in such good condition!!
@@6door6four96 I’ve purchased another switch from them in a past video, and it didn’t have the screen film. So I don’t think that’s the case. I also think that would be a really weird thing to do honestly lol
Original Switch had a LCD screen and it was a cool temp. The Switch Lite has an LCD screen too with a warm temp. The Switch OLED is in between the cool and warm
The color temperature of stock switch screens varies quite a bit and isnt a great indicator of authenticity. Also there are at least 2 different styles of ribbon cable on the digitizer and I think one has writing and the other doesn't. That being said, the film definitely makes it seem like the digitizer was replaced. They could have also installed a replacement shell judging by how clean it looks.
Replacing the entire shell might be the most plausible answer. Maybe they had a broken “normal” switch (black instead of red), and decided to fix it by swapping the shell and pairing it with this bundle. Still weird that everything felt pretty much untouched
@Jacob R it did come with the box and the case and everything. I think between all of that and the digitizer and shell, they wouldn't be making any money. I found a nicer box on ebay that comes with everything but the tablet for 200. You can check if the serial number on the switch matches the serial number in the settings menu, but idt there is one on the box. I think you can also look up the serial number to see which revision of motherboard it is.
I bought my switch brand new from an official source so I know it’s never been replaced. I just check my screen’s colour and it’s definitely very cool. Possibly even more than the one in the video.
Suspicious is kind of a reach… it just wasn’t listed/labeled accurately lol. Definitely screen replacement but everything else looks good, fantastic even.
The weird listing is what makes is suspicious to me. Tbh, I think any purchase from wish could be considering suspicious, just from the fact that you’re buying from wish.
@@jrob0021 Why wouldnt you check the processor build? Is it a v1 switch unpatched? Like 280 is a steal for how clean that is if its an unpatched erista. At least assuming the screen qualtity and touchscreen is good. Stick an rcm clip in that thing and see if it boots hekate xD
I have this Switch. It’s also suppose to come with a screen protector. Being a Mario themed Switch it really doesn’t seem like it unless you’re using the Joy Con accessories.
You got a deal on that, Its a laminated screen upgrade. Very common in the chinese markets. I use them in all of my repairs. They have better brightness, and lack of air gap.
I'm thinking perhaps the screen film was put in place to protect the screen in transit? Perhaps the seller has had problems with this in the past? Or maybe they replaced the screen for a better quality one - perhaps a bad batch of screens which were prone to fail? OR maybe the screen was broken when the seller got it? It could be none of these, however, of course!👾
a little note, when taking the back off, only the middle screw on the rails needs to be removed, a smart move on nintendo's part as you wouldn't want the rails flopping all over the place.
Dude, it's pretty complete to me, those manuals are worth nothing, the fact you received a basically brand new console without signs of usage is pretty much worth the money you paid. You're complaining about bits of fibers with ink on it not being in the box jeez lol
Yeah same i had to go in and change the ip, subnet and gateway settings to match my router just to get the switch up to 36mbps on my 100mbps connection lol. It was sub 20 without messing with stuff x.x
Apparently the screens being different colour tones is actually legitimate as nintendo switchs screen manufacturers depending on which manufacturer is cheaper. system can come with a cool tone screen, blue screen or warm yellow screen.
I have the same version of the switch. Bought it on mercari, got a discount because of scratches on the screen. Replaced for cheap, looks brand new just like yours
I've been wanting a mario red switch for a long time. Since it's not OLED version though it is functionally worse now than the OLED I already have. But still I love that the console is red. I really wish the OLED white was a white console.
so what i think happend is that someone buyed that had guaranteed on it and it fell down and the screen broke so he gave it back became a replacement as a quick solution and that one due to its good condition got just an new screen and selled it again
Looks like a product that maybe was damaged during transport and they just replaced the broken screen. Pretty good deal, this version is quite expensive nowadays...
I honestly turn on dark theme on everything including my smartphone. White is ugly and just cause strain on the eyes and more battery wasted. Use dark!
Maybe Wish is trying to be less garbage? Iunno but I agree it's weird. That's a rad-looking Switch, though. If I was in the market for a new Switch (I recently got a Steam Deck so I'm good on consoles), I'd def shop around for one that looks like that.
I must be out of touch with the switch prices , I'm over here thinking 280 is way too much. Just bought a used system for 180 on eBay, feeling like I committed the heist of the century
Haha dragons catma got me keep up the great work your confidence on camera has grown so much over the year I've been subbed the editing is on point to great work Jacob keep it up
Looks like the film was placed on the screen for protection, doesnt mean the screen was replaced, original owner may have used a screen protector or only ever used it in docked mode like i do.
Best Buy currently has this same Mario red switch for sale geek squad refurbished for around $270. Idk if it'll be in as good condition as the one in this video though.
Yeah probably not. I personally don’t think the switch looks good enough to be worth the extra money, and red is my favorite color. I’d say just get a normal switch and get cool joy cons
The lite screen looks better than the standard switch screen. Sharper and way better colors. (I don't mean the oled switch 😅). Before the oled came out I used to play on my lite.
yeah. I got an oled a few weeks ago and my little brother has a regular switch and it looks so much better than the regular. makes sense since oled was advertised for having a great screen as one of its best features lol
I'm confused, what exactly is suspicious about unboxing a regular Nintendo Switch at what is essentially retail price? I don't understand why dude was so suspicuous. It's just a regular switch 😭😭😭
I think this seller was the type to buy the Switch during the pandemic, and probably didn't like it. Either that, or they damaged the screen (scratched, tested durability, etc.) Either that, or they just wanted to make enough money to afford the OLED by selling their old switch.
Know you like to do that crack effect and I expect it all the time but for some reason this time I didn't and it scared me so bad that my soul left my body
I have that same switch!…but I never used the joycons lol…I left them wrapped up in the box cause I knew I wouldn’t be able to find replacements so I kept them new…oh and be careful with that screen it’s plastic
Hey Jacob I signed up for the whatnot app but I never recieved the 15$ in credit? Do I have to make a purchase then I will receive them or what? I am a first time user so I should have recieved it
