Just in case you didn’t know: you can regenerate to lower the soot level, but you can’t get rid of the ashes just with a computer or some additives. There is a affordable way though. There are companies (at least in Germany lol) that burn the ashes out with a special oven and it’s way cheaper than buying a new DPF. A clean DPF will improve fuel economy and power, whilst reducing stress on the turbo charger. Definitely worth the money, even if it s not clogged up yet.
those are amazing cars! great on fuel and last forever fully worth fixing and building and keeping! i would like one myself. someday i will buy one! i had a 84 jetta diesel back in the day. non turbo got 70mpg. got drunk one night and somehow hit an approach and bent it like a banana. lol. still drove it home sold it to a guy who pulled the engine and built it into a generator and still uses it 25yrs later. and thats a vw diesel for ya'all. theyre that good! love the channel. greetings from canada!

Nice car with the perfect engine, whe drove a Audi A4 with the same engine for more than 550.000 kilometers and never broke down! The only thing whas, you put diesel in it and its runs. Best car ever and this is looking great!!

Hi Yuri hear is a recommendation for you cut the DPF out get EGR delete and remap to economy map this will give you power when you need it and extra mpg I had Golf Estate and return approx 80 mpg at 60 miles an hour

Surprised you have the Jetta in the States. Here in Europe the most sold VW is the Golf (Jetta without trunk), but dont see them riding in the States. Not even when I was in Ohio several years ago. You guys know the Golf?
With the diesel, they're fantastic. Gas.... not as much, not bad, but not as much. Nice grab. And was that red pickup a mid repair Goonzquad build? The Hemtt possibly going to Dave Sparks? Good buy, those Jettas are dang near impossible to kill if you can keep a body on them.

@@littlecesar003 you get more miles per gallon with modern diesels, so yeah they are cheaper to run... Parts and services are a little more expensive though.
Funny you mentioned it, just made our second batch of diesel from used motor oil last night. We got three gallons of usable fuel from five gallons of oil and ran it in our buddy Joes mk4 and it runs perfectly!

I drove a Jettta diesel for 8 years until VW repurchased it. Great mileage, but just average quality build. Had some parts break that should have lasted for 200K miles.
