I have a Mazdaspeed that I am working on, slowly gettting there. Got it at 151k, upgraded engine, got it painted and got wheels and and now I’m saving up for the body kit and upgrading transmission later
@@dometr9254 for heavily modified cars - yes indeed. Especially when the cars structure/body is modified from its original factory/safety standard. I believe the last winner was quoted over £10k for the Mustang insurance (had no choice but to sell it) - age played a huge part in that of course 😁
It is expensive here in the UK. Though doesn't it depend on where you live and the area. Insurance is unbelievable here. Hopefully this thing won't get straightpiped 😆. An upgraded one would do. The insurance on VW group cars are so expensive because of the high amount of theft. And it's rising. I'm thinking that our cars will be worth less than the insurance cost
I think mat will go with a different colour, green has been done with the m4 comp, I wouldn’t mind seeing a nice satin colour or maybe a pink with carbon or gloss black contrasting bits
Not for me exposed bolts on a cars bodywork is just poor design by who, ever thought the kit was a good idea, looks awful whilst it’s a joy to watch you work I can’t agree this is better it looked better before. Ps Dave’s mum wants her ironing board back
I've got full faith in you Matt and Hannah. I've been watching for at least 18 months now and even though not everything has been to my choice I can appreciate what you are doing. Love the variety and style and work and repairs on your channel. Top marks from me mate...
I can see this looking absolutely awesome when it's done. Please paint/wrap it a mad bright yellow!! 💛 Always look forward to your videos you're smashing it mate! 💪
I’m in the “what on Earth” camp BUT i have faith and am intrigued as to what comes next and the colour you have planned. An orange would be good. Something very different. Keep up the great content Mat.
That wing haha, i guess it would look more uniformed when the bigger bumper goes on. Amazing effort though Mat, very brave to cut up a car! Enjoyed this!
watching ur old videos, the simple dream is to fix, rebuild cars and work for Porsches, currently in school working toward my goals. love ur vids mat thanks for keeping me happy though my rough times
852nd! Not a drift fan. Smoking tires until they’re ruined seems pointless. Same goes for tattoos. I don’t get it. To each their own I guess. Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Dammm that grinder cut off disc is on life support. Though it was about to explode and kill my favorite RU-vidr the whole time. At the end of the day, As long as YOU love it, that all that matters. Fu*k what everyone else thinks. You do you, Mat. We are all here for YOU.
What did the poor Bear do to you Mat 😳……. That he has to be with you! 😁 That’s not a Wing? It’s more like a beached Surf 🏄♂️ Board. You are actually Building a Car-crash….. But great fun to watch. Keep up the brilliant footage. When you raffle this one you may have to pay people to buy the tickets 🎫……..🥳
1998 called, they want their car back! haha jesting aside, good for you, going big or going home. Not sure it's my taste but hey. I hope you're adding some HP as they are super slow! If you don't it's defo a Maccy D's carpark special :D
I've got a rb diffuser on my 86, you have to cut out the standard one off to bolt the rb on. interested to see what wheel/suspension setup you go with. defo look into forced induction makes the car much better
They certainly didn't make Japanese cars for the hell of it, lol. Which is why they're so popular in Tokyo and are built for mods and drifting and showing off at car shows and so on. Plus, the BRZ's, the GTR's and Honda models are meant for this kind of lifestyle and head turning effect. Or they wouldn't be any Fast & Furious, or Need for Speed type games or movies out there to enjoy or become apart of the culture.
Look at it this way, you've saved an otherwise scrap car from being scrapped and given it a whole new purpose in life. Going Rocket Bunny was what it cried out for. It's going to look epic once complete.
Great channel and I love the GT86 but im out on this one mate, it’s just too cheap and tacky and 1990’s max power for me. But love how you tackle anything full send 🤙🏻 great channel!!
Looks a bit wank so far....BUT!!!....you're a bit chicken orimental and I've got faith in you making this little rice burner look cool, so crack on Matt and let's see you work your magic on this thing.....🤘
You’re 100% creating my youth car fantasy here. Max Power, NFS and Fast and Furious in one! Please fit neon lighting (in and out) and a massive sound system 👌😉🙏🏻
Mat mat mat mat mat what are you doing mate 🤔, I love everything you do but really really not sure about this one I think you may have long covid and lost the plot 🤣🤣🤣. Your brave mate I'll give you that and also you said it yourself your having fun and enjoying it so hay what the hell it's your car bud, might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you can see the finished project then go on and prove us that are saying your mad wrong lol, looking forward to seeing ot finished then can really make my mind up 🤪🤣🤣 Keep doing what you do bud 👍
I would never pick that car, don’t hate it, but why do I end up liking it🤷🏽♂️😂lend us your ironing wing mate😂so hard to concentrate with Hannah in these videos!😊the car does look mental but sure it will come together 👍🏽
Hey Matt, would you consider doing an episode on buying cars from copart? Their pricimg looks complex, so many fees etc, it would be interesting to see what to look for, how the process works etc. What makes you decide whether or not to go for a car, that sort of thing. Just a thought anyways, as you've done themed vids in the past. Thanks!
Have you sought advice about cutting through crash structures and the chassis given you may possibly be raffling this one off in the future?. Love your passion and vision on this build but a tad concerned you're exposing yourself to a 'gotcha' through over enthusiasm. More than happy to be proved wrong btw. 🙏
Fair play you have big balls hacking & drilling cars like you do!! I'm not a fan of these body kits but I think this one may turn our to look pretty good. Good luck :)
Matt, love your videos, followed you since the s4 build but you need to stop this new thing of you saying “well…” all the time. I know it seems like a good segway between sentences but you’re using it far too much
I'm still worried about the alignment and the ABS light. I suspect it's got to do with the wheel speed sensor on the right front being damaged from the knock. let's go!
Admittedly ye it looks like shit now but all fitted properly big wheels more power crazy paint job then rip all that interior out flocked dash fat bucket seats maybe a bit of a cage it will look SICK !
I’m looking at going from a Honda Civic type r fn2 to a gt86 Also hopefully one day you will get a type r mugen 200 and see how well ya can get it tuned up
I've only bought tickets for the golf. But I definitely will be buying tickets for this when it gets raffled off. As long as I'm not at work when it drops.
