If you mod it it’ll be a really solid console. It works with all wii games and accessories and has a fantastic virtual console line up and can play games from all previous consoles. I’m trying to get my hands on one rn so I can properly play some gamecube and wii classics

Fun fact, the Wii U is actually one of the better consoles for the Skylanders series, having the best version of SSA (the Wii version is worse graphically but much more polished), access to all six games, and having the exclusive Bowser and Donkey Kong characters. It’s actually the only reason I have a Wii U lmao

Ive had a Wii U since 2013. It wasn't even for me it was for my Dad on his birthday but I still loved growing up with it LEGO City Undercover is one of the best LEGO games to have graced us and we have the Wii U to thank for it being so good even for the remaster. Loved playing Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions on it too i own PS4 LEGO Dimensions now tho (I never played Skylanders 2 toys to life on top of amiibo is quite a bit of money already, might try it on PC tho)

Got mine back in 2015 for Christmas when I was 12 or something. It was the mario maker one and it came with my first amiibo. Playing donkey kong country tropical freeze on that thing got me back into nintendo and I've been obsessed ever since.

Im doing the same thing with collecting every console but im starting it off early at 15 (started collecting at 14) i have about 6 consoles 2 being modern and the rest being older ones like the NES and etc PS1 and etc (some are 2000's consoles)!

I was about to buy a wii u, then i randomly found my first wii u in a milk carton. Now im using it as a Wind waker and twilight princess machine.

The Wii U is one of my favorite consoles. People may be thinking that it’s bad or it doesn’t have a lots of interesting games but I don’t care, the Wii U could have been an incredible project back then. I also bought it pretty recently because I’ve grown up with a 3DS and I literally stopped playing on my switch to play on the Wii U.
