Hoovie's laughing, Ed is shaking his head and Jared is making a flight reservation to Costa Rica. The rest of us are saying, hell yes, wrench ever day!
I see a Honda Limo with a VW TDI engine at site B finished just after two IH trucks are done and a wide body Mitsuyota commuting between site A and B just to deviate to a small airport where an unmarked black helicopter is waiting ...
If he does but up and get the factory body kit and do a good job on this it's definitely gonna be profitable. Big if but Florida here is going big or going home. Rather see him do it with a repairs worthy car rather than a kit purpose made to be thrown away if it's crashed
Honestly I think McLaren produces over hyped over priced bullshit with a dealer network to match. I would not buy one. This will still be a cool journey. Less hate more wrench turning.
5 years ago you were reading about how he went from painting an sc300 in his driveway to buying a 675LT? But... But.. How could you have read about him doing that when it just happened... Just now.
He forgot all jokes need to be simple and disconnected because people are so remarkably stupid in 2020. I’ll bet you made your account when “4g” was considered fast...🤣😂🤮
Dylan Nguyen and let’s be honest, once he gets a McLaren engine bay cover set, he could sneak a similar crate engine in too if he really wanted to save money
Aj 20 you could also probably get a Chinese company to make a fiber glass replicate bumper too for quite a bit less. no one would now once it's painted
I had one of this McLarens with the same damage minus the front collision standing at our auto repair shop a year, insurance company wanted to scrap it. Carbon fibre splitter 4000$ Broken whel axels all 4 10000$ door splitter 2000% etc. owner slid onto grass at track day
2022: Hey, my name is Tavarish, I'm not gonna reveal my new built yet, but if any of you guys come across spare millennium falcon parts or other YT-1300F series freighters on Craigslist, hit me up...
@@Deelber28 Only source of used parts is another vehicle. Sooo why destroy one working to fix a broken one?? New parts if available? Or make your own and bespoke the shit out of it all? Not to mention, you're gonna sell a car that's been, effectively, totalled?? If this guy wants to waste his time and efforts on a ghost car, all the power to him...
@@bmw328igearhead He actually has it driving now if you watch his latest video and the engine sounds ok. Still no body panels though. He'll have to have them custom made I guess.
I don't know how many times I binge watched this cars hole playlist from start to finish back to back, still rocks after the 100th time tho! keep the great work, love the content
Another Shoutout to AutoTempest, they don't cover every site but, they cover most of the big ones. When I was hunting for MY car, I would keep all sites including Autotempest open refreshing every hour or so. I ended up finding my dream car, about $8-10K below retail and with a flawless service history.
@@KingPepeLePew Frame straightening? It's carbon fiber. This is a "repair and replace" job from start to finish. Also, at the end of the day, if he does it right, it's a rare, investment-grade vehicle that will appreciate in value over time (as opposed to some random BMW M3 or something).
@@MrKylederpthis f1 looked way worse. Wonder what it sells for today... www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2015/06/09/rowan-atkinson-crashes-mclaren-f1-supercar-twice-sells-for-122-million.html
@@autotempest Ey thank yall for helping make this content from the PR person to the CEO, stuff like this brings me inspiration to fix my car up one day
FYI: That's a Z-Bar in the suspension, not a sway bar. A z-bar (or heave spring) is exactly the opposite of a sway bar. In corners, it does nothing to inhibit roll. When both wheels compress together, such as when the wing is creating a ton of downforce, the z-bar becomes a spring that counteracts that force. This allows the coil springs at the wheels to be relatively soft for good mechanical grip and drivable comfort.
1:43 you totally earned. I remember "way back" (a blink of an eye really) when ur channel was still kind of small, imo since you've made all the right steps.
Hi Freddie, I used to work at McLaren Automotive and I have shared this with a group of people still working there in sales, after sales and MSO. You never know what might happen! Cheers, Jonathan.
Just saw the photos online from the original crash site and the copart auction from nearly two years ago. Apparently the car skidded across multiple lanes over a median strip, skids across more lanes, hits a bush, takes out a stop sign, hits a pine tree and then ends up in more bushes(Crystal Lake,IL) At one point the car did have a smashed windscreen. It's going to be a tough build, but a lot of fun when it's finished.
Love this guy. I struggle to keep my A3 2.0T (trust me. I ask myself why every day) in mediocre shape and every time I open YT he's got another car. Love this guy.
Good luck with this thing! BTW, knowing LNC Collisions form their channel they are very cool guys - I’m following them for a year or two. And similar to yours story of coming to the U.S. .
@@stephenhunter70 That McLaren in it's current state is MAXIMUM worth 100k with a *Salvage/Unrepairable Title* There is also a good chance he paid less than that
One last note. You are one heck of a wrencher. Didn’t realize you rebuilt most of the cars in the garage - or all? As you in that show with Ed - led me here. So I’m new to your garage. But man - it’s takes some real skill to do these resto’s. Impressive.
What people don’t get is that the whole point of this video and the channel IS to get into crazy projects like this, that’s what gets the views, the cost of putting it together is secondary if at all important. So morale of the story is....” don’t die what he does, you’ll go bankrupt while he is making a bank”
www.wreckedexotics.com/Mclaren/675LT It's going to be quite interesting to see how the underbody looks like. Seems like the car went over a curbed median.
Hey Tavarish, I've only recently started watching videos on your channel and let me tell you.. I really, REALLY appreciate what you're doing. I absolutely LOVE what you're doing and got emotional when you got emotional in the last Lambo video. You're humble and really fortunate, and do EXACTLY what I would like to do for a living. I've built over 30 M278/M276/M157 & M156 Mercedes-Benz engines in my career and too many times have I pretended like they were my vehicles. I'm a really big fan and feel lucky I discovered you after a few years because I get to binge watch lol. Thank you for the entertainment, and thank you for the humor. I'll continue to support and continue to watch. Thanks man. Jake ✌🏽Dallas, Texas
Who needs used parts when I have my Pals sealer, Bondo, primer, jb weld, adhesive, and wire panel strength mesh lol And the rich neighbours McClaren 😂😂😂
