Thanks for watching! Small correction to the outfit the Swirl Ponytail is wearing. For whatever reason in the video I called it Midnight Magic. It’s actually called Black Magic :)
What a blast!!! Even just watching felt like Xmas morning! I didn't know there were Barbie patterns - I would absolutely love to see some sewing videos. PS Your dogs are precious!
I got my Barbie (Brunette with ponytail) on my 8th birthday (1961). For the next 4 years I was obsessed with everything Barbie. I had the vanity, the four poster bed and the original Corvette which was orange with aqua seats & plastic "chrome" trim (1963). I had the board game, the books and the records, too. I also had Ken, Allan, Midge, Skipper and Scooter. At 12 I lost interest in the Barbie world. But even as an adult I still have a burning desire to have more clothes than she did! Thanks for the fun trip down memory lane!!!
That car is 1980s Rolls Royce. Look into the 1957 chevy from 1988, I really want to get that for my Barbies. I have the Barbie college set and it has a drive in theatre
I really love your very lucky purchase. I love everything you got. The furniture is amazing and I believe on Etsy there is a seller who makes replica seat cushions in the original patterns for your incredibly rare couch from 1965. I love all your boxes and cases and the beautiful condition you found them in. I have a few vintage pieces and they are precious to me but your find is the holy grail. Thank you for sharing and I really enjoyed your video.
I think it's birthday and Christmas all wrapped into one! The Barbie Gods were definitely on your side that day. Congrats on all the amazing things you got! I cannot say I'm not jealous 😆 I wish there was luck like this in the UK. Thanks for the video. I am definitely a sucker for Skipper, she's just so adorable.
It's great and fun to find all those vintage clothing and dolls congrats. Awesome to look at that stuff. I have been collecting since 1994 and I'm still going.... Instagram has the same name as my SN. Thank you for sharing 😊
Ian... You really really got an amazing collection. To get it all at once is a feat in itself. Great video and hope to see more as you get these things together. Many thanks for sharing this. It was a great opportunity to see things that are so hard to find.😊
Thank you! I just love everything I got, once in a lifetime opportunity probably, espically with how popular vintage Barbie is now. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!
The platinum Swirl, Black Magic, and the Little Theater costumes are the standouts for me. I don't have any of the Little Theater fashions except Barbie Arabian Nights, one of these days I should try to find more of them. Always love a good Swirl, and that one is a real beauty.
Hey Ian so happy for you on your new collection. It’s just an amazing feeling when you finally get your first collection from the original owner. This hasn’t happened to me in a very long time. eBay is just to expensive in buying Barbie. How are you going to display your new collection. Again congrats Ray
This was so cool. You sure got a wonderful deal. I enjoy your demeanor and knowledge. The 60's Barbies are awesome. Looking forward to more of your videos. You'd make a great Ken!🙂
What an amazing find, where I live its extremely hard to find any kind of vintage barbies. Or barbies second hand at all. I'll def be keeping an eye out on fb market place for now on! Also that is the Barbie Rolls Royce Convertible, Zima Model 322, 1980s,
For fixing stuff I have used 2 part apoxy clay, it really works well might be too chunky to restore the bed, Ive used it to repurpose 80s doll furniture or the austin healy car from the 60s. Especially if something has a crack. I never have luck with super glue. I may try hobby glue for melting plastic together they use on car model kits. I always mean to try it and forget.
You bought a 1980s Pink Rolls Royce from England. Unfortunately not in great shape. I got one last year on Ebay. Still a good find. These cars are rare.
Ive bern after the little theatre and the new vintage dream house. Both are going for around 400 with bidding and with shipping on ebay. Too much for me. Considering where I live I bought the fashion shop and skippers dream house for 150 each.😂
I really wanna purchase the knitting pretty reproduction but I always take Barbies out of the box lol for 350 plus idk.... I have 50/50 reproduction and old.
What do you know about Malibu PJ? I Know that in 1981-1983 I bought Malibu PJ in a purple bikini NOT THE UGLY BIKINI TAN ONE! This one was just like her only no, "BIKINI LINES"! I lost most of my original collection of Barbie and friends to an UNFORTUNATE FIRE! I have replaced most of it several times! This Malibu PJ was rereplaced in 2014 NRFP from eBay! I have lost the box,"FLOOD" I have the doll, but I thought that the box dated her to 1978! Bikini tan line year! I am curious WHAT YEAR DID MY DOLL actually come out??
