Looks like the last gen 12.9inch M2 iPad Pro would’ve been a better fit for you to alleviate those screen quality concerns. Funnily enough, I actually upgraded to the cellular 13inch M4 Pro because after using my 2018 11inch iPad Pro for 6 years, I found it too small for a second screen as I often found myself squinting or pulling it closer to my face when reading fine text. I don’t experience it with the 13inch. It’s a workflow preference thing probably.
Those are good points that are important to consider when buying an iPad. Like you pointed out, it's important to have a clear objective for it. I also bought the 13" m2 but only for drawing purposes, so the big screen was important for me, but maybe not a priority for other people. Luckily i already have a pc and i gotta admit, going from 120Hz to 60Hz can be rough. Great video!
I've never owned an iPad in my life and never cared to either. Just a big iPhone. But I've decided to bite the bullet and buy an M4 iPad pro for the simple reason that it's supposed to be really good for digital art. I'm looking to get into game dev to find a way out of this 9-5 job life... and I need to learn to create art. I'm hoping it's a worthy investment in the long run...

i do digital art since years / design and i have friends that are Game artists as well . From my point of view ipad / pro / air specifically for developing game is not a big help would be a nice tool for concept art / game art maybe , sketch but you need desktop level software for most things . There is no photoshop , no full version of blender , no maya , no unreal engine on ios so no it's not a good investment for that specific purpose . Would be better to save these money to get a very powerful desktop pc with a good graphic card that allow you to do 3d rendering and cintiq or even a intuos pro to use all the desktop lvl software and much more . It's nice also to set up assets etc ... Ipad pro is good for illustration , sketching , painting , comic art or if you are a tattoo artist . Also the ipad pro will not give you any feature more than a ipad air so yeh i would invest your money differently . BUT if you already got a nice desktop setup with a cintiq then the story change ...
