There's nothing to stop sellers from labeling it "sustainable" or "ethically sourced/mined", lie about it, then mark it up. You can collect whatever you want but if being ethically sourced is very important to you, you aren't in the best position to collect. But I'm sure you already knew that.
And how do you know, that other stores don't buy from them and sell 5 times more expensive? They can have fake documents too. Because I have Baltic amber with certificate (from fancy store), however this certificate is just pretty cartoon, I don't have an idea if it's authentic or not.
Temu isn’t it’s own seller it’s other sellers selling their products on there like Amazon. The difference is, on Amazon they buy things from these apps and jack up the prices and change the description for a profit. That’s why you’re used to things being more expensive:)
More expensive≠ more ethical. The factory workers are being paid the same. The company that slaps the brand on it gets paid the extra dollars that the factory workers deserved. Temu is more fair
The pendant is not broken. It’s adjustable. Just thread the stiff end through the little hole and it has a rubber stopper inside to grip the chain and hold it in place
Thank you for doing this haul/review Barbie! I'm pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a total rip off. You got what you paid for and what you suspected was fake actually was. I'm surprised no malachite of either kind made an appearance. ❤. The moonstones were both worth keeping, and the purple flash labradorite wasn't a complete bust.
I have sourced crystals from Temu and I am very pleased with the quality. I've yet to be disappointed and even a Labradorite necklace I am wearing right now has a gorgeous blue flash on one side of it, and yellow gold flash on the other, just beautiful, from Temu at a very nice price. Thanks for this video I will check out your other ones.
I’m so glad you’ve done this video! I’ve always wondered if the pieces were fake or not, and this haul most were authentic. That makes me really good. Thanks so much!
moldavite is 100% fake, any tektike from a wholesaler is going to be fake. literally just glass poured into a mold, mass produced. not likely to find any from asia that is legit.
Technically, the sphere is white labradorite. True moonstone has a white flash, a silky quality, and is translucent to opaque. The jewelry industry just decided to call it moonstone, because it sounds more valuable. They are both feldspars, but they're structurally quite different.
In my experience with Temu, some of gemstone beads are either not the stone they claim, but are genuine gemstones, and others test as glass. The ametyst (2 types of beads) did test as amethyst, but one was more of a phantom amethyst, which I like. I test everything on my gem tester (a Presidium II). I bought aquamarine that tested as jade. I just received white jade that tested as glass (after I bought them, Temu changed the listing to jade glass beads. It just said jade when I purchased the beads). I've bought enamel and metal charms for jewelry-making that are excellent quality; I like their shoes ; clothing is sized more like Asian sizing, which is much narrower in the torso and bustline. In general, I am happy with their items, and will be ordering more soon (I placed 4 orders in a month!).
You would be surprised how many fakes you get from crystal stores as well. And they charge ridiculous prices for them. A lot of crystal types are also man made, gold stone for example. But they are still sold as genuine crystal or mineral. It's quite common for crystal to be dyed or heat treated as well so I don't really feel like the fake ones are a whole lot different for those reasons. Citrine clusters are rarely ever actually genuine citrine. It's usually colourless quartz or amethyst that has been heat treated to get the yellow/ brown colour. I personally don't mind if it hasn't cost a lot but I buy crystals for decorative purpose. If someone wanted to collect for healing purposes or just wanted to collect different specimens of earth minerals then it's a problem.
@@Gemzstone1 I always want to know if the beads I use are genuine gems. I make and sell jewelry on etsy. I don't know if my customers are buying for the stone's properties, or just because they like the piece/and or the look of certain gems. BTW, you make gorgeous jewelry! I don't have the patience to make that type of jewelry. You have a new subscriber! 😀
I noticed this as well, TEMU falsely advertises crystals I always have to google to see if I got the right stone. I was pretty surprised I purchased "Amethyst" beads and I ended up getting beads that looked like Lepidolite. Not sure if some stores just don't know what they are selling or just assume. A lot still look nice and for the price especially stones that are pretty expensive such as Sugilite, Jade, Kyanite, etc.
One thing I can say I didn’t know how to tell if citrine was real or fake but watching Barbie channel helps me to know the difference on citrine that’s why I ordere my citrine from Barbie because I know she sells real crystals and stones 🔮
I bought a couple things from them before and they didn't take quite as long to get to me as I thought they would either. I just still can't believe you actually did fairly well! 😂 That ammonite was super pretty, my husband loves them.
I love you crystal temu hauls. I wish i watched these before i purchased some crystal bracelets from there. They all were fake plastic and even the elastic strand holding them together was bad quality 😂
Thank you Barbie for doing this video...I was just asking some friends and family what they have ordered from there and wondering about this...I so appreciate you doing this...definitely good to know....and I am shook as well...didn't expect what showed up!
Hi. You need to insert the needle of the necklace chain to the stud with white like how you wear wear a stud earring. It's not broken. It's just kinda length adjustable.
Excellent review thank you so much for this video!!! I’ve been purchasing my crystals and stones from Temu for almost 6 months now!!! I love my purchases and your video just made my day!! my husband and I recently purchased our forever home and I’ve literally decorated 70% of our home with Temu products… 98% quality satisfaction!! no issues with returns or instant credit refunds. My Husband is a little frustrated because the delivery guys keep walking through our front lawn and have created a trail!!!😂😂😂😂😂. Have a fantastic and prosperous week! Be encouraged & know that you know!!! PEACE, light, love, patience, wisdom, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, courage, health, strength, healing and discernment unto you!!!!🙏🏽❤️💯🔥
Interesting... I hesitate with any of these discount sites due to sourcing and issues with labor. It was nice to see most of it was legit. Still not sure I'd personally buy from them.
@@JCcreates927I don’t buy crystals. I dig them myself and trade with others. The fact no matter what I do, that i contribute to immoral labour is really depressing.
exactly lmao, people talk about slave labor over seas, but not worried about the actual slave labor inside their own country... these same people who pretend to worry about mine workers overseas call fast food workers lazy and talk down to them.@@JCcreates927
After seeing your video I bought a haul and have to say that I had good luck with the purple flash labradorite and ammonite as well. I bought a 3” citrine tower and a double point pencil smoky quartz < 2” - I’d love for you to take a chance on those and see what you think! Thanks for the review - 😊
I've watched several Temu videos from different creators on here and the quality of the items they received has generally been pretty impressive. I've bought stuff from Wish a couple of times and it was trash.
Thank you for doing this! I’ve bought gemstones from Temu and I was like you-I didn’t want to invest too much but I was pleasantly surprised! Your video makes me want to go and buy some more! Thanks!
Loved the vid ,I had a similar thing happen with a chunk of amethyst and I found out when I cleansed my crystals in the midnight rain and the water was running hot pink 😂😂😂💯
I just found your videos and I am a newer crystal enthusiast. I just got into it and I love your videos. Thank you so much for the time you put into him and for the cool things that you do I love the Temu I love that you did that I don’t know that I would’ve been so trusting but you did and now I don’t have to. Lol thanks again.
Is there any information on where these are sourced? I worry that these are all from non ethical sources, where the labour for is mistreated and underpaid, and the places where they are sourced are mined horribly.
I have been ordering from Temu for about a year now..I ordered all kinds of junk..yes I said junk..but last month I found the crystals n natural gemstones ..n I bought some..pretty impressed with most ..I noticed a few of mine didn't look real..no biggy..n then I find You..I'm really excited now..finally a channel worth subscribing to..No drama...I can't wait to learn so much from you..
Thanku so much, I was just on Temu in the week looking for some crystals. Wasn't sure, like u, if it was crap or decent enough to purchase. Great review, thanku ❤
I've done a lot of Temu orders; mostly kitchen or beauty stuff, and it's all been good. The crystals and jewelry I got were okay...some fake, some real. The few clothes I ordered were completely NOT what they claimed. They had "100% linen" or "100% cotton" and when I received them they were polyester, acrylide, etc, with maybe 20% cotton or linen. So I wouldn't trust their clothing at all, but most of the other items were good quality that one would normally pay at least 10x more for at USA prices (even for the Made in China stuff). I keep ordering because I keep finding things I've put off getting due to prices but when I see them on Temu, they are affordable. Just stay off the app since that, being connected with the Chinese Deep State, gives them access to all the info on your phone.
You did great, I love Crystal 's, and some of the Crystals. You got is beautiful, I was thinking about ordering some Crystal's from Temu, but didn't know just how good the Crystal's would be, thank you for your video. ❤
I’m glad I watched this video. I had a few crystals bought from TEMU . Same, I’m happy with some like the blue Kayanite with tourmaline and some I’m not. I ordered Selenite beads and white Cats Eye … can’t tell the difference when I put them together. I honestly think they’re both Cat’s Eye. 😅
I have an order with Crystals coming later this week. I did get a carved wolf aventurine and it appears to be authentic and is adorable, I'm leary of Temu for sure.
I like smaller pieces because I don't have a lot of display space. The Ammonite was impressive. Those are usually quite expensive. Labradorite is usually darker. It looks better in sulight, also.
I like that we don't have to pay shipping. But I have to keep after them they sometimes charge me for more products. When I want 1, I get 3 . I have a whole box to send back
Yea , i’ve bought some crystals from temu and compared to places that are reputable and honestly I’ve wondered if some of the crystals being sold aren’t from temu and price jacked up 😢
Hello cbb! again, I'd be really interested to know if you will ever do a video on the fake sphalerite that's being sold on temu and other market places recently, it's a new trend that I've been seeing, it's not genuine sphalerite or even close to it, it's usually some lower grade of chalcedony or apophyllite from what I've seen in my purchases, I think it'd be a good thing to call attention to :)
At this time China is suffering from deflation. Which sounds like it would be great, but with the cost of raw materials going up and prices going down businesses are failing and as a result they are forced to sell off existing stock to stay afloat. This situation is transitory. 😉💙🕊
I have bought lots of crystals from temu and was very impressed with the quality, I have put them thru several test and they come out truly authentic. It’s a place I will shop frequently.
I've been debating whether to buy crystals on Temu or not, but now I probably will. Thanks for that video. Have you done a video about buying crystals from Alibaba? I'm curious about that, too.
Darn I was hoping you bought a piece of laborite..I was looking at some on there and saw the moonstones too but I missed the o-sized piece.. I’m going to be ordering g some now though. What do I think of Temu. I have bought things from them quite a few times. Usually things to store my sculpting tools in, kitchen things and some dog coats, I even got a really cute pair of slip on embroidered shoes for running out the door to take the dog out at tonight. Oh and a few tshirts and socks and capri pajamas. I love almost all of it. There were 2 things I got for my bathroom faucet and drain but neither one fit. I must have a tiny drain in my sink there and smaller than normal faucet or something. But I’ve been really happy with most of it. Loved the shirts, pjs and dog coats too. The way I look at it is where do you think more than half the stuff from Walmart or the dollar store or heck a lot of stores comes from? China right? So why not buy from Temu and cut out the middleman? Seriously. There are people who put ads on Facebook and Twitter and if you go look you can find the exact same item on Temu for a heck of a lot less. They buy f]from Temu and resell it. So no I have no problem buying from them. Oh one set of the crew type Sox I got were w]really thin. You could see thru them when you put them on so I wasn’t happy with them but loved to ankle socks.
Thank you very interesting, I am a crystal healer so I knew the Moldavite was fake and the citrine did not look real either. Some of the crystals I had not heard of so a good learning curve for me 😁 I have ordered some crystals from Temu so will be interesting to see what I get. Temu do not sell themselves they are a platform for other sellers which is why some things are cheap, I’m guessing the sellers are the wholesalers.
I have shopped at Temu and many things I got were very poor quality, but some were good. The thing I didn’t like was there was a very chemical smell in the package that stayed in my house for days. I honestly would not have expected to get real crystals, so I am impressed especially with the moonstone and labradorite. I may have to get a few of those !!
Quartz is not glass. Also, it may not be a good quality citrine but a quartz of yellow tone still often gets labeled “citrine”. Quartz of purple tone is labeled amethyst, yellow-purple combo is ametrine, and mint green quartz is “green amethyst”. Again, they may not be of very good quality or they could be gem quality. It all varies.
Thank you for doing this video. I'm not big on plain crystals. The ones shaped like animals or hearts are my favorites. Plain ones just don't excite me. Towers and spheres don't really excite me either, unless the spheres have openings and you can see some pretty points on them.
I used to buy crystals from Ali and they were all really really good. I was never disappointed. Now we left the EU it's too expensive because you have to pay tax on it all now which sucks. I don't know if temu is the same, I downloaded it a few days ago but haven't bought anything yet. I did wonder what the quality of items were like so thanks for sharing this!
Liked that someone actually did a review on their crystals, but saying they're tiny over and over again... Like, the listings state the size (at least from what I've seen)... Was a larger size expected? For the price, can't be mad though.
The chain isn't broken you put the pin through the hole like an earing! Its so you can put it thru stones with pin holes in the stone, girl you sell jewelry right!! How could you not figure it out??🤷🏼♀️ beautiful stuff!! Ive gotten alot happy with it all
So I just got crystal beads for bracelet making cuz I listen to crystal themed subliminals and the submaker said that getting the actual crystal irl will enhance results, so I got aventurine beads, rose quarts beads, and red jasper beads, along with 16 heart shaped rose quartz charms and an aventurine clover charm. When I listened to the Red Jasper subliminal and put the Red Jasper beads in my left hand, they immediately started making my hand tingle and my body started feeling light and stuff. This effect was a little bit dull with the other beads & charms but it was surreal. I also wanna know how to charge up these crystals and how to know if they are charged or need charging or something because that was quite weird. And they don't rlly tingle as much if I wear the bracelet on my wrist. Just wondering if there is anything else I can do to enhance this stuff, cuz it seems to work.
If you have a business you should plan on going to the Tucson Fall. Gem show aug31-sept 3 you will be blow away and that is where all the DIY' ers buy there real gems. They also have it around Jan 2 times a year..100's of gem vendors
A big problem I have with Temu is no label saying what product is, just a serial or batch number. But if you want to send a piece back it has to be in original packaging and if you’ve opened half a dozen things you don’t know if you got right wrapping. And sometimes some rocks are labelled as something else that doesn’t exist.
I do wish they would identify the product on the package label. I ordered a lot of beads then had to spend hours looking up what they were. But I’m happy with the beads.
I've gotten a bunch from TEMU too and they have some really nice stuff there's definitely a bunch of dyed or resin crystals but still pretty nice for the price.
I've seen necklaces on Temu that they call amber and I'm almost certain they're just amber colored plastic. I've bought quite a few things from Temu and the quality ranged from "really cheap because it's garbage" (earrings), to "not horrible but it does look cheap" (kitchen floor mat, women's print polyester pullover top), to "decent quality for maybe a little less than elsewhere" (large size sweater razor), to "Wow!, what a buy!" (plastic rotating earring holder, metal plaques with witty sayings and cute pictures, automatic on/off rechargeable strip lights.)
