I feel like a lot of influencers don’t keep in mind the costs of some of the products they promote. I truly appreciate this video because it shows me what I can afford and what I could maybe splurge on in the future. Thank you Nikki for always keeping this in mind! 💖
Literally watch this video once a month. It’s so in-depth and long. It’s like putting on a familiar podcast. Thank you for not taking shortcuts! Can’t wait for your bronzer one!!
One of the best videos I have seen an influencer produce. I can only imagine the cost and the dedication it has required. The final result is educational, detailed, thorough, and HONEST (like everything you do). A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!! Thank You SO MUCH. You are THE BEST. All my appreciation and gratitude.
I think she isn't just an influencer, she is a professional make-up artist that is sharing her expertise, her knowledge, her experience, her wisdom and her personal opinion on those products, which is very unique.
I watched a 2 hour video on blushes…and I probably have worn make up TWICE in the last YEAR!!! Girl, you are THAT GOOD! First of all, this is the most comprehensive make video I have seen. I have always been terrified of blush cuz powders look awful on me and cream/liquid ones seemed so labor intensive. I think I’m going to try the Danessa Myrick balm. As a dermatology nurse I would suggest a bag of frozen peas for that cheek!🤣 Thanks a million for this video.
This is INCREDIBLE! You really went the extra mile of doing this BEFORE the Sephora sale so your viewers could save money when you could have saved on all of these blushes 😂 we appreciate you!! And your poor cheek, what dedication!!
@genevieve4890 I totally agree with you! Brava for saying this, some people aren't happy unless they're shitting on someone else! Instead of putting other women down we should be lifting each other up!
I have *suluxy* I’ve owned for over a decade. There were men who use to sell them on the streets on the Upper East Side in the evenings. My authentic leather Classic is like butter now. Luxury is subjective, like art. Nothing is really essential, but food.
These types of videos is what I miss and wish more people would do! Thank you so much for your dedication! Maybe this could be a series on your channel? ❤
Agreed! I appreciate the time and that she actually applied each to her face instead of a swatch that is super hard to imagine when on a RU-vid video! Blush 🩷er as well. Thank you Nikki!!!
I can’t believe I made it to the end. Actually this is one of the most enjoyable videos about make up that I have ever watched, and I’ve been watching them for about nine years now. I learned about your channel from Lisa J. And I’m so glad that I came over and subscribed. I definitely hope that you get a lot of use out of all the products that you bought and that your clients feel very pampered and special when you apply them to their cheeks. I will be binging your videos and coming back for all of your new content. I’m 64, so I use mostly cream blushes now. I own a rose inc. cream blush in heliotrope, one of the tower 28 cream brushes, An hourglass blush and one of their holiday special quads, and I have also been using Lisa Eldridge’s lipsticks as blushes and love them. I have a couple of Daniel Sandler liquid blushes, and find them just lovely. It would be so much fun to see a drugstore version of this, that is if your cheeks can take it.😅
Wow! I couldn’t imagine anyone taking the time to do a video like this. This is phenomenal! I hope you gave your abused cheek some extra pampering after this. I so appreciate your dedication. ❤
Thank you for this Nikki!! I’m on the hunt for a perfect blush right now. Your recommendations have truly helped me sort through the oceans of products out there to curate a collection that right for me- not just on trend. I trust you. And I thank you! ❤
I need to see the behind the scenes documentary for how you made this video. From the shopping vlog to how you have so many clean blush brushes to how long this must have taken.
Oh ma lord! This must’ve been pricey 😭 but selfishly, I just have to say THANK YOU! Definitely altered my list on what I should get when the sale comes by! Definitely appreciate the time and effort (and money… and cheek) that went into this ❤
She can return those that she doesn't like for a full refund if it is within 30 days of purchase and the others she likes she can either put in her professional kit or use for herself personally. So at the end it is an investment.
Thank you so much Kathy!!!! Hahaha my cheek recovered thankfully 😅 im so happy you are into this long video! Blushes are so fun it kind of just sucks you in right?!
@@Makeupbynikkilarose Hi Nikki! Love your YT that I’ve followed a few months ago! Can i ask you for a tutorial with purple cream blushes like Fenty Cool Berry? I think about monochromatic look but can imagine anything besides that 😅 Thank you! 😘
@@Makeupbynikkilarose it totally is, it's transforming abilities are addictive and I'm always and still, on the hunt for my "perfect shade", but I most likely will search forever, need a reason...🙇♀️🤌😘
Buying and putting on 53 blushes - yikes! You epitomized "taking one for the team." This is by far the best video about cosmetics that I have ever watched. You clearly stood in the shoes of us, your audience, to demystify the world of blushes - with expertise, wisdom, compassion, and humor. I've accumulated several of these blushes, but I've rarely used most of them because I've been repeatedly so disappointed with the outcome I get. Because you included showing the right type of brush and demonstrating the specific technique, I have the keys to getting great results with every one of them. I just pull up your video, click on the time stamp for the blush, and follow along. As a bonus, I've learned how to get better results with other products that have confounded me, like cream eyeshadows. I feel like you have given me a birthday present. You transformed what was a so-so makeup collection into the perfect one. I now look forward to putting it on instead of approaching it with trepidation. And I have a better-informed, budget-friendly shopping list for the Sephora sale. A thousand times, thank you.
WOW! Nikki you just set the bar all the way to the top with this video! I appreciate and love how in depth this was, please do more like these!!!! Love your channel so much ❤️❤️❤️
Would LOVE some follow up content on this! As someone who has finally decided to learn how to apply makeup in their late 20s, knowing which brushes are best for which blush formulas would be phenomenal (as you were hinting some work best with embossed/cream/liquid ) And I would totally watch a supplemental ranking of best powder, cream, and liquid blush at each price point Nevertheless, thank you Nikki and RIP cheek!
What an epic video!! So much hard work, Nikki! It better go viral! I am a major blush fan. Not even done watching, and already added a bunch of blushes to my cart 😂 thank you so much for this, you are amazing!! ❤
I must admit I always thought the Patrick Ta technique was silly but girl when u done it with powder blush first and then topped it with the cream....OMG THE RADIANT GLOW !! IT LOOKED LIKE BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY SKIN
I use the Benefit Dandelion Powder on the all face, it gives such a nice, healthy glow and color to the skin, specially if you have light (pale) olive skin. In fact in the back of the box (the big one, not the mini) is written you can use it as a blush or as a "brightening finishing powder". As a blush it works better in very pale skin. For me Dandelion is excellent!
I am so excited to see this video. I'm a nurse in the ICU and can now wear makeup since we no longer have to wear mask. Thank you for this, you are so beautiful! Everyone at work thinks I'm crazy that I am excited to wear makeup, but makeup is my obsession!
Nurse here too and relating that the struggle was real during almost 3 years of wearing masks for 12 long hrs! Looking back on it, I would just retire if they do this to us again!
Just stumbled across your channel. What an incredible video! I’m almost distracted by 1. your gorgeous skin and 2. wondering how long it took to film when you had to remove and retouch between each blush. The amount of work that went into this is astounding. Def interested in watching more of your content. Very helpful though. I’m in a blush rut, so this is a good guide for me on my search for something new.
That was just awesome! So professional, profound and comprehensive. Now we need to whole breakdown on all makeup categories at Sephora specifically from you Nikki, no one would do this better. Thank you❤️
Nikki you should do a video like this but with concealers or foundations at sephora! Or maybe YOUR top 10 favorite concealers and foundations! I would love to see something like that! I really enjoy these type of videos! 😊
I used to really not understand the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes until I watched some videos talking about how to use it properly. Basically you have to break that embossed seal on the top by using a stiffer brush, then the product underneath is much easier to apply and looks very natural. You don’t have to go too hard and get rid of the flower pattern or anything like that, you just have to get the top layer that was very hard pressed broken up a bit to get to the actual usable product.
Love the “can’t we all just be nice humans” reminders in the beginning of the comments. Best blush video on RU-vid. I am new to cream and liquid blush and this is a huge help. Would you please do some makeup testing on models with fair skin or dark skin too?
I hope she does this for other categories of products. She also took the intimidation out of cream products just by showing her fool proof technique. I also didn’t expect her to be so brutally honest (but respectfully and as polite and professional as one can be) and I gained so much respect for her giving her honest to God thoughts on each one, and she picked gorgeous shades for all of them that would entice nearly anyone, lol, so the feedback is that much more appreciated. We need a drugstore version of that. THAT would really be something.
Your poor cheek! I so appreciate your dedication to this and your thorough thoughts on each blush. I am in a blush groove right now and have been trying to decide what to try out next, so, this video was PERFECT. Thank you!
This video deserves all the love. I enjoyed this so much. This definitely helped me decide which new blushes I want to get at the upcoming Sephora sale. I’d love to see you do this for other categories in the future. Seriously, so informative and helpful. ❤❤❤❤
Girl, I still have my Polly Pocket! And I’m turning 32 this year, I’m lucky my grandma saved it for me as a memory before she passed and it brings me joy remembering who gifted it to me.
VERY impressed with the Rose Inc blush…..I will definitely be getting a couple shades of that one. It looked so beautiful and applied so perfectly at a very decent price. The fact that it offers refills is just another perk since I am very conscious about minimizing plastic use, reducing my footprint, etc. What’s not to love? Thank you for this video…..so helpful!!!
God I started watching this, was so tired I fell asleep for an hour, woke up you’re still going 😂 this is amazing I’m gonna have to go back to the start now. I love these long make up series you do. Best thing in the beauty community. Thank you so much for all of your hard work 🫶🏼💕
Found your channel and I can’t stop watching your videos since. You really know how to explain technique, and I feel like your tutorials have been more helpful than anyone else I’ve watched ❤
Have you tried the Flower blush bombs (liquid blushes that are high quality, beautiful shades) or the Stila convertible color lip and cheek cream? These two have been my ride or die and camellia is a beautiful more bronze blush shade that works great for both lighter or deeper skin tones and it blends like a dream (even tapping on with your finger.) Great formulas and I never hear anyone talking about the Stila convertible blush, hidden gem imo. And the Stila stays like Fenty all day, without fading at all. I’m usually underwhelmed with Stila products too.
@@MakeupbynikkilaroseI’m sorry to keep commenting but can you do a review on Jason Wu products because it’s a newer brand in Target and it’s always peaked my interest but I rarely see anyone using anything from the brand. I’d also love to get your thoughts on the Joah beauty brand at CVS because their under eye brightener pen is fantastic and was viral at some point because it’s a lot like the Maybelline Age Rewind (also a click pen but the formula is bomb) and their dropper foundation also was a huge thing because it is also really good.
I’ve been watching RU-vid makeup content for yeaaaars and this is by far the most helpful video I’ve seen. Thank you thank you! I think I speak for a lot of folks here when I say…please do bronzers next!!
I was doing some art and needed some nice voice that is a pro at what they do. So I clicked your video and liked ypur voice and what you were doing. As it went on and I was listening and checking out what you were excited about I noticed I am half way done and you are not even close to half of the product! I got so worried and I stopped working and watched the rest of it. At the end I thought this girl needs a foot* massage and a calming tea or a drink! 😢 I hope your skin did not get hurt and you are doing great. I always enjoy seeing someone dedicated to what they are doing and know what they are doing. A huge hug from Iran. ❤
By far the best video review I’ve even seen!! Most people are long winded and don’t get to the point…you on the other hand are concise and highlight the implant points! This was an amazingly helpful review of some of the most popular brands. PLEASE do one of these on foundations and concealers.
this is amazing, wish you could repeat that sometimes with cult drugstore blushes, e. g. milani's baked & cheek kiss cream, flower beauty, honest beauty, elf putty & primer infused etc...
Wow that was an incredible amount of work that went into this video! I am yet to finish watching the whole thing, but just wanted to say that Glossier Cloud Paint goes on very well when I just tap it on with my fingers! It’s never patchy and it’s quite sheer , which , to me, is a plus, not a con. I love when cream blush is natural and buildable , and mistake proof. 😊
I'm so glad to finally see a MUA share their love for Fenty Cheeks Out! It's so pretty and easy to use! I actually ended up with it when I went to return an online order of the Rare Beauty liquid blush. I appreciate how much more fool proof Fenty is!
This video is fantastic! I can't imagine the price tag and time commitment Nikki put into this. It's invaluable for her viewers! I would love to see more of these videos: bronzer, mascara, concealer.
I’m so so appreciative of the meticulous job you have done here. This was very costly and time-consuming. Sephora here I come! I’ve shared this in IG, I hope everyone does! Thank you Nikki & Mitch!!
Wow Nicky I am embarrassed to admit how many times I have watched these kind of videos . Non the less, I have been so impressed and in awe of the thorough and obvious time you displayed in creating this enlightening masterpiece of information.🕶
I just discovered your channel a month ago and you have risen to the top of my favorites! But this video has outdone them all! So much information and so thorough. I hope you cheek is ok. Thank you for taking one for the team!
Hello Nikki, I have rewatched this video so many times. I’m a blush lover. My favorite all time blushes are the Hourglass Ambient blushes. I love how easy it’s applied and the glow ❤. It stays all day in this heat. I’m definitely going to be trying new ones from your list.
This was such an amazing video! I have acne scars on my cheeks and the Danessa Myricks blurring blush is my absolute favorite blush for my cheeks. It blurs and lasts ALL day. It’s my favorite.
@@Makeupbynikkilarose my pleasure! I have been binging your channel as I just found you. Also been following the 30 days of lipstick and I’ve added a few of your recommendations to my Sephora cart!👀😉
I wish would do tutorial on just brushes alone, which ones to use for different makeups and blushes, your favorites and which ones are worth the money to you. Oh and how to effectively clean them!
So excited for this video! First, thank you for your time and thorough reviews. I love watching anything you do, and trust your opinions and advice!!! Thank you to Mitch as well for his time. Hope you day is blessed!!!!!❤😊
I absolutely enjoyed this whole video!!! I watch a ton of beauty influencers, how come I have never seen you before 😮 I adore ur personality. Thank you for the time an money it took to make this video
I truly hope this video goes viral for you Nikki, you are an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. I also admire the way you're giving LisaJ/Angie the love for the brushes.
I just gotta tell ya Nikki, I watch your videos all the time but this is my first comment! All the time, money, and effort you put into this video, not to mention your impeccable expertise is so much appreciated! Honest reviews on blushes that were each tried out, the wonderful tips you gave out out with each product so your viewers will get the best experience if they own or plan to purchase this blush. Thank you Nikki again, for a wonderful tutorial! I recently lost my youngest son, your videos are a welcome diversion to this persistent sad mood I’m experiencing! Bless you!❤️🩹🙏🏻
OMG I’m telling myself this lady is crazy, in a good way. I’ve never watched a whole 1:30hrs video of testing make up til the end. You are amazing and thank you so much
This is my first time watching you and I really enjoyed your calm, informative style. And the fact that you will continue to use the expensive stuff, even when it wasn’t groundbreaking, just so it wouldn’t have been a waste of money.
I watched the whole thing. That was absolutely amazing! And so very educational. I learned so much. And, yes, your poor cheek was swollen :-(. And your voice hoarse. You’re a trooper! Thank you so much for doing this!!! ❤
I can’t imagine how much this video cost to make! But this is the most perfect review video I’ve ever seen. I would love this as a series for different categories in Sephora brands, but that would be a crazy expense! 😂 thanks for the great info 💕
Wow Nikki I can’t even imagine how long it took to make this video 😮. Thanks! I saved it to my list to go back whenever I would want a new blush. LOVE your videos and the live ones ❤
Nikki. There are very few words that the hundreds of others have not said. THANK YOU (both) for the ENORMOUS effort, OTT presentation, incredibly well done description, organization, and linking you provided. I tell you this each time- you are the ultimate educator. You are such a bright, classy, skilled and talented woman. I adore and soak up your videos, shorts, all of it. I was literally cringing by the end, w every stipple and brush stroke you took, only imagining how sore your skin HAD to be. I so respect and am grateful for you on many levels. When you recover (!) ,( I always wish I could converse with you!) , I have a couple questions: I think we have similar coloring and could you share your Armani Luminous Silk shade for me? That’ll help my judgement somewhat as I try to apply what I learn from you. Secondly, because of that, I see you using warm and cooler shades on lips/cheeks/eyes, and I want to do it too but as hard as I study you/ I just don’t know how to pull it off ( on the pinker side)!! Would love a video on that someday. Or a private session via Zoom!! Heaven!!! You did great, girl!!❤️❤️❤️
I loved this❤❤ it's like a whole feature film about blushes😂 thank you for your commitment with giving relevant beauty content and products review, you are awesome😊
THIS VIDEO IS EVERYTHING ID EVER WANTED! Thank you Nikki, I’m sure it took FOREVER to do and film. But this is the only blush video you’ll ever need. We need more please, Mascara?
Thank you so much for this video. I have not worn blush in quite some time and wanted to purchase for the Sephora sale. And you mentioned for older women , textured skin, that was spot on wording. Sold!!! Thank you. You are amazing and so beautiful!! 🥰🥰🥰
Best, most informative, useful video I've seen in a long time! I'm saving this for reference for years to come. Thank you Nikki and Mitch for your hard work on this one. 🤗🧡
Great content, great editing, love your style and how neutral and full of experience your comments are! I appreciate the time that you take to share you knowledge in a very assertive way! ❤
Wow !!! I can’t believe I made it through this video!!! Excellent job , I love the way you broke down , price points , patchiness , easy of application and so on ! I am a huge makeup lover myself and to hear all of your advice and reviews recommendations . PRICELESS ❤❤❤love It ! Thank you ❤
That was the most comprehensive review of blushes I’ve ever seen. I really appreciate your expertise and you’ve given me a couple of ideas for future purchases. Thank you, Nikki!
Hi Nikki, I'm a new fan 😊 thank you, 1st of all, for not holding on to your real thoughts, time, and sacrifice to share with us. Saves us time and money. You made it easier for us to find what products we could buy from the quality and price... I appreciate you so much of doing this for us😊 thank you
Dior Charnelle blush is my only repurchased blush in my entire 45 years old age !! I did purchased it 3 times , and I’m about to hit pan on my third one !! Stunning blush
I've just finish the WHOLE video (albeit in a few chunks) and wow. I loved how thorough you were with each and every one and honest reviews. Love love this and I'll be choosing a few to go out and buy! Need this for bronzers now 😅 pretty please!
This has been by far the best video ive seen all year for makeup you helped me narrow down so many options i was iffy about!...you are amazing i love your content ❤
I'm obsessed with blush recently so thank you for making this video! I appreciate all the tips about blending different formulas as well. I definitely stayed with you all the way through so hugs to you and your poor cheek.
