Does anyone know what the name of light projector was? The good one she bought for her kids? Im looking for one for my autistic kiddo but am scared to pull the trigger on it. I bought her the one she shows in this video last year and shes right, its crap.
Last fall our God daughter got the flying orb ball for her birthday. Hers immediately flew off into the sky, over the house and was gone forever. My husband LOVED IT though and he requested it for a Christmas present for himself. I bought it for him and on his second use of it, it flew under the furniture and into a big dust bunny (don't judge me) and got hair wound around it and it has never flown the same. Obviously our family is not meant for that toy. 😂
Most of these remind me so much of the "made for TV products" that used to trick us into ordering. They never worked like they were supposed to! I remember ordering what was probably the first liquid lipstick. It had a spray paint consistency, and it continued to "dry" as you wore it. My lips ended up all wrinkled and the product flaked off. Of course, I wore it for the first time to church..... bad decision!😬
@@Sorceressofstars The sad thing is I bet you paid a lot of money for something that didn't work!! I remember when those started showing up. Now you can get them from a lot of stores and they work!!
You can froth hot chocolate in your blendtec blender they shared a recipe for it years ago it was delicious and the leftover turned into a mousse texture in the fridge lol
Can vouch for the elephant spout 100%!!! Saw it here, bought it, and gave it to a friend last year who was expecting. She loved how gentle it was when she was bathing her daughter as an infant and made for a more familar experience when baths transitioned to the tub this year. And the baby is now starting to use it (read "play with it" 😄) in the tub! Brilliant suggestion, Rach! Thank you so much!! 💖
Gotta love multifunctional products that are practical and fun 👏 My favorite part is how kids learn independence and have such a good time doing it! That is also SO cute that your friend’s daughter was not as nervous about switching to the tub because she had her elephant 😊
The rotating projector light is much brighter in a fully dark room so it makes for a great nightlight. There are also multiple companies that make them, which is a good thing if you want a bunch of different options, but the drawback is some are made so cheaply that it's not worth it. If you're willing to spend 30 to 40 dollars for quality; you can get some that also play music.
I think for the ice thingy to work better, the ice cubes need to be smoother and clearer to begin with. With the ice cubes being uneven the design doesn't really show up properly.
Those light-up glasses are given out at a club by my house. You pay for a premium cocktail and get to keep the cup. Then you just take it back to the bar and they'll pour your regular cocktails in it. I have like a stack of 5 lol
Her talking about a little kid potentially trying to stick their fingers into the hover orb made me realize as a 26 year old who occasionally has the thought to stick a finger in my plastic fan probably shouldn't own that, that realization was greatly increased when Chris mentioned it wouldn't take off a finger because that's exactly what I'd tell myself before finding a way to stick my finger into it.
I bought the hot chocolate machine and it's a hit with the kids. I brought it on our Thanksgiving trip and I've filled it at least 5 different times. The good things about it are the amount you can make, the spout, and the fact that it doesn't really get too hot for kids to drink. The sound is dampened when you fill it more. The bad things are the sound and the fact that the max fill line leads to overflow, I only fill it to 3 cups. It's a fun party novelty but like you, I'll use my heavy duty frother otherwise.
Hot chocolate hack: put powder into empty waterbottle, add milk and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE.. then transfer to mug and warm in microwave… the shaken hot chocolate is just so gooood.. I do it with regular chocolate milk too. Idk why, but shaken is far superior imo
I started to shake mine when I was little when the little elf in the first The Santa Clause movie was describing how she makes hot chocolate. "Not too hot, EXTRA chocolate, shaken, not stirred." 🤣
@@Bethany-fo6lt honestly I think that’s where I heard it first too now that I think about it… Judy got us shaking our hot chocolate 🤣🤣🤣 Edit: it wasn’t Bernard it was Judy!
Yeah, my son has had similar ones ever since he was born. And we've always used the lid over the designs, since I assumed it was so you can still have the light designs, but just on the lid. So I definitely recommend them too. They normally only last a year or 2, but they're cheap enough, and my son loves picking out a new one.
One of the Christmas gifts I got for some family members was the mint frog soap from frolic creations from one of your recent videos. Love the videos. Thanks Rachel!
You being weirded out by heating up the plastic hot chocolate maker was strange to me as someone from the UK as the vast majority of our kettles for boiling water are plastic. I know some plastics arent great (im looking at you microwaveable meal pots!) But some are totally fine to be heated repeatedly
@@roselmcposelMine is Pyrex- got it last Christmas, but it has a plastic handle and removable fill spot top ...and cool blue ring lights in the bottom😊 I love it
🙋🏼♀️Hi Rachael, I thought I would mention that the strainer for that pot seems like it would be great for steaming veggies. As for the hot chocolate machine, it’s a “single talkers” that takes up so much room to do something you could do every easily without it. I love watching your videos every week and I’m sure you probably never read my comments, but I always try to leave a comment anyway. 😔I hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
My kids have those flying things and I believe they’re close in age to yours. I had my oldest in 2011 and my youngest is 3yrs older than your youngest, but they’ve gone through a couple different ones over the years and they did fine. We did lose one somewhere outside, possibly in the neighbors tree 🤣
I think I would make hot chocolate, the old-fashioned way on the stove and just use my little froth after. I get for a big crowd using a bigger, froth, or but that machine was loud. Also, we have a bulldozer, and it is not that loud! Even I could go to tractors don’t seem that loud… again I’m used to a farm so that doesn’t bother me. That hot chocolate machine would’ve bothered me!
Give batteries lmao!!! One year I packed batteries in a gift box for my ex husband. In with the batteries was a note: Some are red, Some are blue Some are old, Some are new and then some not so nice rhyming. He hated it but everyone I told this too loves it. I’d do it again but can’t do it to him again. lol 😂
I've bought three of that exact star projector and it works best in smaller rooms with lower ceilings and when it's much darker. It's amazing for its price point. It's a great nightlight.
Thanks! Now I know what I'm getting my nephew - the flying orb! 😁 Sidenote: I really want a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser for myself. (I don't like/drink coffee or even tea, hot cocoa is my go-to.)
I'm sorry but depends on price, I'm single mother n if it's cheap n works,I don't care about noise, bet the other froffer more expensive, not everyone can afford the expensive things, love watching ur videos but I can't afford ninja products n the other expensive stuff x
Drone Balls are great even for 3-5 yo set. Better is the "Force 1 Scoot Duo" saucers. You get 2 in a pack, it auto-levels and is more stable than the drone ball. You 'gesture' near it to move it rather than grab it. Much safer for little fingers because you don't grab it.
I have to pick a gift in the $20 range for work dirty Santa (or white elephant, I’ve heard it called different things) and I immediately added the LED cups to it, I think it would be an awesome gift for it! Simple yet so fun!
I am not sure who wants decoration on their ice? Is it visible in a drink? Seems like it would immediately melt off the picture since it’s not carved deep? The second you pour anything on it it’s gone?
Also tbf the hot chocolate maker is $35… any nespresso frother is almost $100 not realistic for people who don’t have an abundance of $$. So it’s not terrible for the price 🤷🏻♀️
Do I constantly ask myself ridiculous questions to fill the dead space and seem more interesting? Yes, yes I do. Will I continue to do it? Also, yes. 😂
I have that projector for both my kid’s rooms for a bedtime nightlight. They love it! You definitely convinced me to get a frother though. Not that hot chocolate one but the nespresso one
I’m surprised you haven’t reviewed the hot chocolate machine that I keep seeing advertised, it’s called hotel chocolate, they’re really selling you on the machine and the different chocolates to buy. Expensive too
I had a candy claw machine one time for Christmas! It was so fun! But I also remember it was loud, mine had a lil guard around the hole though so things didn't just fall in like yours, I love the plushy alternative though!
I'm here to say the always pan , if I'm going to spend that much money on anything ! And it's that pretty , it better stay that pretty FOREVER! With little effort. No way would I pay that much money for a pan to have to scrub the black off from it constantly, non stick Better mean non stick Cause I have NEVER ! Found a Non stick pan yet that was. After the first use .
OMG same! I am so annoyed by 'non-stick' pans that everything seems to stick to. We did get some Blue Diamond pans that are quite good, but you can only use certain utensils on them, can not stack them as they scratch so easily!
You're really not supposed to put hot chocolate powder in a frother like that frother like that. I have the Breville one and that just gunks up the frother which then becomes kind of a pain to clean and normally it's really easy to clean.
I would suggest to poor some hot water on the ice-shaper. Aluminium does easily conduct heat which is why it would heat up fast under warm water and THEN put ice on it for a few seconds
I love my fellow Canadian using the bag milk!!! 😃. Always look forword to your uplouds always an edit side note,,, I am Epileptic and those glasses that flash would have me on the ground faster than a shot of tequila lol. Just watching gave me a bad feeling.
HEY GIRLFRIEND ...IM SITTING HERE 6:30AM ...CRACKIN TF UP ...IM LITERALLY BY MYSELF DYING LAUGHING .....U ARE SOOO FUNNY ...THIS IS MY 3RD VID OF URS IM WATCHING ...WAS SUPPOSED TO WATCH SOMETHING TO GO 2SLEEP ...UR HISTERICAL ...THANK U ...I REALLY NEEDED THE LAUGH ( SENT THIS TO 10 PEOPLE ) 2BRIGHTEN THERE DAY ....🌈💓🌈💓🌈💓🌈💓🌈💓🌈💓🌈
I had one of those hot chocolate machines a decade ago. It worked with cider and a few other drinks, as well. The plastic is safe. It is the same type used for baby bottles... And the one I had wasn't quiet but it wasn't that loud. I do know if you have more liquid... it is quieter. The beauty of it was that you could make a drink and drink off of it for hours which was great when I was in college. Personally, I would not buy it... it was a dirty santa gift.
Gave my grandkids flying drones similar to that orb you were playing with. It was fine until it got stuck in my granddaughter's hair...so be careful and don't put near your head😂
Omg, In my country hot chocolate is something completely different - she is thick and you could drink it but since it’s soo thick we usually scoop it with a spoon. This is so disappointing, it’s like nesquik.
I bought the elephant rinser for my toddlers 2nd birthday and he loves it! He really enjoys bath time and hes a very independent little guy so he absolutely loves to use it to wash himself or to just fill cups with it. If I can make a recommendation, I bought the Toomies bath coffee maker thingy for Christmas and it was the best thing ever. When he tried out the first time, he made a huuuuuge tantrum when he had to come out of the bath! He loves it so much, so if any of you moms have a child who loves bath toys, give it a thought.
I know messy stuff is scary but please don't limit your kid and his joy in creating art because it inconveniences you. Set up a station with newspaper or since he has such talent and such a want to continue to play with it you should/could set up a room that is easy to clean or is his "art studio" - giving him a place where it is okay to be messy and see what happens if he tries different things - even throwing paint on a canvas - it's a great stress relief and there have been plenty of famous abstract artists, some who literally threw the paint against the canvas - the best part is this will give him an outlet to express any frustration or anger or any emotion really. If you have a shed or semi finished area in your basement these would work best or you could take out carpet etc of a spare room. Or another really great idea would be to set him up with newspaper at the kitchen counter - the surface is easy to wipe down and is less likely to stain than other surfaces - if you have a wooden table I would avoid that but if you have a modern glass top table or another hard surface which would be easy to clean again throw some newspaper down and away you go. But this is really just if it's a small hobby that he wants to do here and there but also will work if there isn't a space you can use as his "art studio". When there is something that will nurture your child but it will inconvenience you please don't just say no - stop and see how you could make it possible because 99% of the time it isn't that big of a deal you just need to be creative or okay with a little mess. Life is meant to be messy and we are meant to get our hands dirty and explore please don't limit your kids experience and knowledge because it will inconvenience you - because frankly the thing that will inconvenience you the most is if you push your kid away or you hold him back or cause him to internalize everything - your kids mental health relies on you being able to put what is convenient for you aside and nurturing them no matter what that means. Nurturing his passions is SO important - that is where he finds himself and how to express himself fully. ❤❤ I know you have many kids and a busy lifestyle but I also know that slowing down and making space and time for your kids and what they want to do so they can explore, play, learn etc is way more important than doing a million things and having a spotless home etc or in my opinion anything else (of course besides providing them with what they need to survive but our mental health is just as important as our physical health).
Lots of electric hot water kettles are plastic.. as long as it's BPA free it's not really a problem. I mean, Tupperware etc is all plastic, but we heat food in those...
I automatically recognize the night light with the stars you know the live live one on your thumbnail and I have that exact one that I bought for my baby and I can say this he got his hands on it twice when he first started walking so he’s like 11 to 12 months old and the second time he had his hands on it broke and would not work no more like lights will not come on or anything so is it cute yes he really liked it he’s obsessed with it but we didn’t even get to use it that long because he broke it and it’s not like he was super strong or anything he probably just dropped it on his carpeted floor so I don’t really understand it I don’t think it’s worth even the affordable price that it is but I just got a plug-in one
