In this video, Parker Walbeck and Landon Bytheway sit down in front of the camera to talk about the Full Time Filmmaker acquisition and what it means for the future of our amazing community.
Parker reminisces on the journey he's taken in building FTF, what's he's learned by running a business, the financial freedom it's allowed him with a growing family, and how Landon was the only choice to keep this going in the right direction.

This was emotional. Full time filmmaker allowed me to start a life that I never dreamed of. 5 years ago, I was working a horrible job making no money and now I run a 7 figure production company with 5 full time employees and 11 contractors. It’s all thanks to Parker and FTF. Excited for the next chapter and can’t help but think of how much growth there has been over the past few years for myself but also for you guys!! ❤

@@JohnHenkamGangte for sure! There is a podcast episode on a playlist on my channel where I talk about my journey. But essentially did low end jobs and made connections with business owners locally, did a lot of real estate, weddings and concerts. Then progressively took on larger and larger projects. Biggest thing is shifting your expertise to “I’m just a videographer” to “I’ll build a strategy for your brand to get recognized online,” video just happens to be the best way to do it. @@LycanVisuals I used the "Free to Fee" method right away and want to say that I landed my first real estate shoot a couple weeks after taking the course and then a free wedding that same month and then from there everything snowballed. In terms of how much skill I had... I would say that just comes with practice and time, looking back at those old videos, it's clear I didn't understand the things I do now; but wouldn't have known that without the experience. Best advice... just get out there, make connections and offer your services to build your portfolio. Eventually something will stick, best of luck!

I think this is GREAT news! Those of us who 'bought in' to FTF paid for a COURSE. We don't get to hold Parker hostage in perpetuity. I love that he gets to move on to the next phase of his life and career, while Landon -- who is the PERFECT person to take this over by the way! -- is passionate about the FTF platform and community, and ready to move it forward too. This is what a legacy looks like, Parker and FTF has given me a ton of value over the past couple of years. The knowledge and skills from this channel contributed in me getting a full-time job creating video content. Even though I don't frequent the channel as much anymore, I am incredibly happy Parker has passed the torch over to Landon. Bruh....why am I crying in the club right now? Parker inspired me to go full time with being self employed 5 years ago. He gave me the courage to give everything I got into my brand. I am sad to say, but I will miss Parker. I started my filmmaking journey when I was in college, and Parker used to upload videos by his name on this channel. I think I speak for everyone in the community when I say thank you Parker. I became a full time videographer 18 months ago through all of the knowledge I gained from the course. I signed up for tons of courses in the transition into this career and this is the only one I stuck with. You always put your community first and it never once felt like a money grabbing exercise. I bought into the course when i landed my first retainer client that enabled me to devote all my time to content creation (with the help from my family we leveraged everything to make it happen) that was approx 4 yrs ago. Since then Ive grown into an agency with a specialization in digital content (not ads, just organic). Although I haven't completed the course, I found the value far exceeded the price, and I still do. Congrats Landon for taking the helm of the ship, and I will continue to be a raving fan. When I first came across the adverts on Instagram & FB, I was sceptical and thought it was just another video scam and wasn't legitimate. It took a few months of seeing the adverts before I decided to check it out, and I'm so glad I did. Full-time filmmaker answered so many questions I had when starting my video business alone. It felt like every time I hit a problem, they had experienced it and covered it in a video. I'm so glad I decided to join and the return of value from the course has been huge! And I wouldn't be where I am today without them. Thank you to Parker! I've really enjoyed seeing the course and yourself progress since I've joined a few years ago, it takes a real maturity to know when is best to give the reins to somebody else and let it continue to grow rather than fade away. I have known this channel from when it was named "Parker Walbeck". I slowly got introduced the name of Fulltime Filmmaker. Not only parker, but the entire team who has shown their face to me through youtube have and still are inspiring me throughout so far. This was emotional. I just shed tears watching this.. In one side, I felt so bad that as if I dont see my personal mentor anymore. Even though I never met Parker in person, everytime I hear his voice in the videos, learn from him and get his advice, I feel so relaxed and gain confidence. I never thought I could be so close to someone through videos... Another side, I'm also glad that Landon is taking over. First stumbled across Parker/FTF when I was starting to dabble in learning videography, paid for the Real Estate course and never looked back. Parker is my SUPER HERO and the main person who made me start my career as a filmmaker! i learnt so much from him and he is the reason why i am a filmmaker now..As sad it is..I would never want parker to just fade away from my life even though now i am a pro..I would still be watching him even if i am making a hollywood film..Thats how much he has been close to my career..It has been such a fun and amazing moments learning from him..I wish him all the best and for the community he has built over the years..Till next time parker!🥂🥂
