I like these videos because they really show how lazy EA is. For instance they’re talking about how they’re upgrading their free agency for Madden 23 by giving players different motivations in free agency, and yet you can see they already had that in Madden 16. Classic EA. Get rid of a feature, then call it new when you bring it back.
Not to rain on your parade, but it’s chalk it up to nostalgia. This is the Aggressive catch game. Literally all you had to do was throw it up deep and aggro catch and 9/10 your receiver came down with it. Got absolutely abused
@@mr.mccrazy9893 and now it’s almost the opposite you will have the 6 feet five Mike Evans Who can’t come down with a contestant catch in double coverage or if he gets touched even a little bit he will drop the ball obviously this doesn’t apply if he has an X factor
Man the fact that people now believe that Madden 16 was a good Madden is shows how blinding nostalgia is. Man the 1 handed mosses and deep toss aggressive catches were horrible. This Madden is honestly worse than every other Madden after it so far. Not really close
This madden was easily one of my favorites. It had some really bad gemplay mechanics. It was the first year aggressive catching was in the game and they made it so ridiculously over powered. It was like almost buggy overpowered to the point where offense was winning jump balls probably 80% of the time. In ultimate team it was a year were corner backs like brandon browner got golden tickets because you HAD to have tall corner backs to stop the aggressive catches. If you had like a 5'11" corner you were just fucked
That Brandon browner line was too true lmao. I remember running fantasy drafts with my friends in franchise and everyone would go after OBJ and big corners with high press
You were right btw, guys like Garnett/Buckner/Nkemdiche were in the 2016 class. Chris Jones as well, that's why he has no picture and was in the first free agency. So I'm guessing it loaded a post-draft roster you had left over from last time you played
I don’t understand why some of those guys were a 99, like Olivier Vernon, base rosters had him at like mid 80s, and it makes sense, he only had 7.5 sacks the year before this madden came out.
Awesome!!!!! Bengal this content is awesome, this is the newest Madden I own for PS3 and I'm glad you're doing rebuilds on all these old(ish) games. Really interesting to see someone in the modern day play it (just like I sometimes still do). Keep up this series I'm loving it!
My favorite madden has to be Madden 09, the presentation was amazing. Half time was actually worth watching where it went around the league showed mid game stats, broke down standings especially closer to playoff time. Just so many features that used to be in the game that they removed from the game.
Scheme fits in the older Maddens ment they fit whatever scheme you were running. Whether it be a Base 4-3 or 3-4, Attacking 4-3 or 3-4, or a Hybrid Defense or Zone Blitz. Usually if they're in the right scheme they tend to perform better.
How far back do you plan on going with this series? As someone who is considered old in the world of sports I would love to see you go back and rebuild on madden 2005-2009.
05 to 07 were head and shoulders above!!! Especially 05 🙌 hit stick!!!! And then truck stick the next season. So op when it first came out! Remember making a superstar and it being a running back trucker named Tomahawk Morrison. 🤣 Prob because my peewee football team name was the tehachapi tomahawks lol but man it's nostalgic! You could pick your parents, hit up the barber, get tats, everything! By far the best days of Madden
I remember the call of duty days lol good times good times I’ve watched you grow proud to see you prevail. Your a great guy and a fun guy to watch. Keep up the great work man. 🤪
man this video took a turn lol it was the definition of "playoffs, you kidding me"! Markus Gordon may have entered that echelon of channel receivers if this were a full play franchise 😲
I have a friend who is a huge Texas dan as well so I try to follow them closely. Sark is a great coach and perfect for helping ease the SEC transition. Landing a recruit like Arch will lead to even stronger recruiting classes overall moving forward. As you said, If not this season than I expect them to be back as at minimum a top 10 team in 2/3 years max
Registered except I don’t have a payment method, I would love either dolphins Jersey since I am a huge dolphins fan even during the Brock oswiler days I still keep the faith
The thing with arch manning is that hes been watching and learning like a nfl qb with his family since middle school. even if the weapons arent that great he will know how to make them good and propel his team to be good.
I remember watching your madden rebuilds on madden 16 and watching your editing videos that you’ve deleted now and that taught me basic editing skills which I still use today
The older madden were harder to trade on. The easiest way is to sign qbs and rbs then flip them for 5th round picks, then flip two or three of those for higher picks. Then players and high picks usually got you who you want. Still works in modern madden
What I REALLY loved to do in this game was make a player in franchise mode and then start a fantasy draft. I'd always get Brady and AP as well as my player
I love that 4 days after watching this video having never seen the bug from direct snapping to a wide receiver, I get the bug. And I was player locked on defense.
I agree with you on Tyrod. He was really solid with that offense that Baltimore is ruining now, with Shady McCoy and company. That was as fun team. I'm from buffalo so I agree with you on players from Buffalo not getting the exposure they deserve. Can you imagine if Josh Allen played in NYC, LA, Miami, etc? Thank God he's home with us though.
My favorite Madden isn't my first either though, my first I really remember was 2000 on Nintendo 64 when I was 9 and 10, but I liked 2004 a lot more, and I liked 12 a lot too. I also liked the very first NFL 2K I had on Dreamcast a lot. I can't remember if I had 2k1 though. There was a computer football game my dad and brother played in the mid 90s I just really watched them play it I didn't play it myself, don't know its name. The thing I remember most about Madden 2000 was I loved the made up teams they had where one was an entire team of robots and stuff like that and each had their own stadium too to fit the theme, I think cheats unlocked them. The last one I had was 17 and that was because I got it as a present, and I did like it but not as much as 12, but pretty much I just watch people like you play it and rebuild stuff and do fantasy drafts because I am not as good at that kind of thing and I do not do online stuff which they cater mostly to now.
I think I realized that the reason some players had wrong pictures was probably because you have a custom roster updated for the 2016 rookie class which otherwise wouldn’t be in Madden 16. So those players like Ezekiel Elliott were probably made by someone making a custom roster lmao
I’ll never forget this game I bought it on sale on a weekend and they gave me a free 7 packs and I pulled super bowl legend Jeff Saturday the day he came out and sold him for like 1.5 million and bought my entire team
Going back to my Saints’ 2015 season, we weren’t the best, but I’m surprised in madden 16 we were one overall higher then the browns, that’s depressing
Madden 07 where it's at because created teams and Madden cards Madden 12 was last one you could create a team they need bring that future back😊😌😈it was the best
Aye bengal you have any film of baseball or any other sports you have played? I usually see other youtubers show their sports film and always was curious if you would do the same
