I have the little fountain going on 3 years now. I had the same problem with just little spits of water and the suction cups didn't work well enough to stick to my birdbath. I put a couple of rocks on it and that thing shoots water about a foot in the air now. Since I've just sung its praises, watch the thing quit on me.
This comment!!!! @andilynn6167 she needs to read a bit more the instructions 😂😂😂😂😂 same thing happened to me i thought i could just leave it like she did just floating 😂i was so wrong, i did the same i put stones and now she works amazing... 🎉
Bought this last year and mine works good and the attachments are really cool. Nice for a patio. Mine wasn't loud I mean you can hear it but wasn't too loud.
Anyone out there remember the Jovan Nail Buffing System? It was the best! You used one medium sander, then a fine sander, then the cream, and you buffed it with the shammie so easy, fast, and fun😊
I'm another person who had the epilady in the 80s, I think I'm STILL traumatized from it, and that was my first hair remover experience. However, my DAD loved me to use it on his back!! I might be even more traumatized from THAT experience.
I had the original of the Epi Smooth back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was called Epilady and was truly a torture device. I used it the first time, screamed because it felt like my skin was being ripped out with the hair. I put it in a drawer and forgot about it. A few months later, I found it and decided to give it another try and got the same results. I left it in the bathroom when I moved. 😄
I agree! I think we all (back then) weren’t prepared for the initial pain. As someone else said, it hurts at first, but you get used to it. The first time I tried to use it, I changed it’s name to the Epi-killer!😊
Every time Vivian says see you next time I say AWEEE out loud 😢. I’m so sad when it’s over, you think I’d be use to it now 😂. Love me some Vivian Tries ❤
I was in Mass once at the Saturday vigil before Easter. People are getting baptized and it's a very very sacred time. The lady behind me pulls out her nail file and starts in on her nails! It was very quiet so all you could hear was her filing away. 😮
So, I had an Epilady razor in the late 80's when I was a teenager. Not even lying I haven't shaved my legs in well over 30 years. It LITERALLY tore out all the hair folicles to the core. It hurt like Hell but my legs have been 100% smooth all these years. Its the only positive that came from using that horrid device. lol
@bethh243 I used the Epilady a few times in my teens in the late 80's. My legs looked awful for at least two whole days after. Every hair that was violently ripped out left a very sore big red bump. I was so embarrassed by the way my legs looked after each use, and the horrible pain, that I quit using my Epilady. It turned out to be too big of a price to pay for the results.
I STILL use the Epilady (after 30 or so years) cuz I still have 4-5 wild hairs that grow. It really doesn't hurt me that much any longer. But, yeah: very effective
You crack me up. Where do I get the pajamas? My granddaughter will kill me, but I love them. Thanks for another awesome Vivian Tries video. I was hoping for 80 different products. 😢
I remember the Epi Smooth. My sister-in-law had one. She tried it once and said never again!! My guess is it can be used as a tazer in case of emergency 😅 I do remember most of the items but had no desire to try them. Thanks for sharing them 😊 ❤
Vivian…I had 4 Suzanne Sommers 3-Way ponchos (different colors!) I LOVED THEM & always got compliments. Cute swimsuit coverup and with leggings. I give it 5 (or 6) Vivian Heads!😂
You have to charge the solar battery for a while to get it to work. I have a solar lighted wind spinner and only one side worked when I got it. It took two days in the sun for the other side to work. I've had it for over 2 years now and it stays on all night until the next morning. Give it another try and then let us know. They don't work straight out of the box. Again though, Vivian I LOVE your new do! You look great!
OMGAWD!!!! I laughed LOUD when the little ear cleaner piece came off and was hanging outta your ear! One of the absolute funniest moments of yours ever!
I bought one of those fountains and it sprayed so wide I didn't have a container big enough. I set it free on a near by small pond and it occasionally would be spraying (when the sun wasn't under a cloud) for almost 2 years!! It would drift around and show up in random places. It was so fun to see if I could spot it "in the wild"
The nail grinder makes we think of the one I bought for my dogs nails. The epilady hair remover thing hurts but you don't have to worry about hair growing back for awhile. lol 😂😅
The solar fountain is not form the 80s. And I owned it last year, I bought it for my pool, it worked but not like they said. Mine ran all night long to the point I took it out to stop it and it eventually stopped. It was great for like a bird bath or something. Mine was super quiet. Exact one you had in your hand. Epi Smooth is an epilator and it is an electric tweezer. It hurts like heck, same as tweezing. I have the Tria Laser now and it hurts just as much and cost me $400😅 but epilators are not permanent and lasers are..so I will deal with the pain.
I’m an RN….DO NOT put that ear thing in your ear and certainly not in a baby’s ear. Also, ditch the hair pulling device and definitely don’t get it near “the golden goods”! 😂 (I fell over when you said that! 🤣) You called it….from the 80’s. Next up, Bon Jovi’s greatest hits! 👍🏻😃
I have the solar power water fountain and works ok. I think you need more water in your bowl and it's has a shadow covering the solar to push more power.
I just saw this Exact 3 Way Pancho over 3 yrs ago in my local CVS Store! That’s when, you showed it and said, Dollar Tree had them, I was thinking no one was buying them!
I have 3!...of those Suzanne Somers ponchos🤣. LOVE them. And, covers the bum! Have had them for years and..still look good. So comfy. Can dress it up or down.
No solar power items in the 80s. I loved my epilady 2:13 LEGS ONLY! Lol😂 I’m not very hairy. I was using it and it flew out of my hand and into my cat’s side. Kitty ran and it was stuck in her side in her fur until it came unplugged. Poor kitty 😂
@@sunshine3914 we let it sit in the sun and just watched off and on. Worked great bought one for me elderly neighbor and the had same luck. Sometimes we changed the tip and some worked better than others.
Have & love the Suzanne Summers multi-shirt! Got 2 in black in mid 2000, wish I could’ve found the other color! Shock it didn’t at least 4 stars, its very soft too!
I like those Epi smooth electric tweezers for my little toe hairs and finger hairs. I’m used to it, so I don’t jump when it pulls out a hair. I’m glad to see this, I needed a new one.
The poncho is still very sought after. When I had shoulder surgery a few months ago I was told to buy the poncho but only ones I could find were about $50😊
I think they still have an As Seen On TV section in Walgreens. I believe I had one one those hair removal things back in the early 90s. It was popular to get electrolysis, and the devise was compared to a do it yourself electrolysis kit. It did not work.
I bought the solar-powered fountain in the early part of this summer and wasn't happy with it because it didn't work well for me. I was a teen in the '80s and don't remember them then. I don't recall anything small that was solar-powered back then.
Back in the 80's I had the Epilady for legs. It was big, it was red, and it RIPPED the hair out by the root. The pain wasn't worth the barely extra days of not having to shave. I have two of the Suzanne Sommers 3 way top...black and tan. I still use them occasionally
I can’t believe the first thing you showed was the solar fountain 😂. I just bought that on Temu!!😂. Ok it does work but only on one or 2 of the spray heads. They are the little ones not the big flat ones. When it’s outside it’s not loud. At least mine isn’t. It didn’t cost much I can’t remember now. It was my first and only time I tried out Temu. Such a crock of junk they sell. Nothing is like the picture at all😂. But it was cheap so I tried it. The fountain is the quality you expect from say a dollar store! ❤
My mom bought a corded Epilady in the late 80s. I came home and found her on the bathroom floor with tears running down her face, and a margarita in her hand. Her legs were covered with little dots of blood. Of course, being a teenager, I thought she was doing it wrong 😂😂😂 So I tried and was crying too! She offered me a margarita, my first grown up drink, to ease the pain. We ended up having the best time just laughing and talking on the bathroom floor ❤❤❤❤ please don’t go at my mom for letting me drink, it was the 80s and anything went, especially in Florida 😉
😂😂😂 queue me laying back relaxing while watching this video. It comes to testing the ear wax removal and the tip comes off in your ear. First i was in shock 😲 then almost fell over laughing.😂😂😂😅😅glad it came out easily and you didnt have to explain it to the EMT.
So fun! Dippity doo was the 80s all the way! And they still make it! What about Loves Baby Soft perfume? They still make it! Now I'm trying to squeeze the rest out of the archives in my brain :) I'm a 1971 baby so the 80s were so defining for me. And my bangs. They haven't changed. 😂 Love to you from Maine!
There were no solar power products in the 80's! The Epilady was an expensive hair removal tool from the 80's that was a torture device 😫 Suzanne Somers did the Thigh Master in the 80's, don't know about that "poncho" thing 🤷🏼♀️ Never saw an ear wax removal kit like that in the 80's 🤔 We used Qtips lol. Emery boards were in the 80s, battery operated?...I don't think so. Puffy paints were the thing but in the 90's I believe. Love your videos and your cute personality 💕
Did you see the suction cups? Supposed to stick to the bottom of the bowl etc, it also uses the magnifying effect of the water over the solar cells. Ever go to the beach or pool? You'll get sunburned quicker.
I have a Braun epilator and actually love it for my legs! I don’t know how it compares to the old ones and it doesn’t get anywhere near my bikini line, but it’s nice not having to shave all summer.
Lol, I had an experience once, and yep, the epi lady did the same thing to me, not again in my lifetime. Tried on my leg. It pulls 100's of hairs all at one time. It's funny now, but then it was bad.
