Anyone with real back problems that comes here for this chair, look instead for the Eureka Swing Chair (or if you can find an old one, the original swing chair before Eureka bought the design). That one has much greater forward motion and better cushion. The swing chair is close to the front/back benefit of a ball chair but without the side to side. As a many decade spinal fusion mess, I'm still using a 12 year old Swing Chair. I need to replace it so was looking at this one. But after seeing multiple reviews and videos it just doesn't do enough movement range.

As someone who suffered backpain with Herman Miller chair tried other ergonomic chair and having the knowledge of researching of many other chairs, i can tell you this chair will give you severe backpain after 8 hours of using and neck pain in less than a week. This chair is gravity oriented and there are many things wrong about this chair. 1. What you feel down there is not the lumbar support. Pivot seat bucket is pinching your back 2. It is very hard to lean on this chair because of pivoting seat. A good sitting position should have lumbar support and you should be resting your back 3. That plastic edge of the seat bucket will hurt your back when you sit longer. Sitting in that bucket and your back trying to rest behind will give you bad backpain 4. Leaning forward is required for many tasks. Although we lean forward on a good ergonomic chair, most of the time posture will be good. However not able to lean forward will make you rubberneeck and thus you will spoil your posture and also long lasting neck pain. This is the chair you buy to discover for a week and keep it in the corner

Also, for the herman miller chair you have, you can have back support while leaning forward at the keyboard. There should be a knob on the left side for it.

My Herman Miller Aerons have been worth every penny I paid. I've been sitting in this same chair since the 2000 dot com bubble (20 years!) and it's still working great. Tell me ANY other office chair that will last that long. Not to mention it is comfortable for me for sitting in it all day.

I just picked up a RH new logic which is made by Flokk, a swedish company. It has realease tilt mechanism which makes it so your chair actively moves with you as you lean back which is kinda similar to your chair only on the RH new logic its implemanted 1000x better. It also has a lumbar supports pump (sounds weird buts its amazing), back adjustment, sitting adjustments, backrest leanback, sitting height adjustments & on the left it has a ratating knob for the sensitivty of the tilt mechanism. You can also lock any part in any position, like there are no stages for anything. I went to a store for office chairs which had herman miller, some other & rh chairs. After I left I googled for rh chairs on which I stumbled on a bankrupcy auction where I managed to pick the chair of for 350 when it normally costs 1200 euro new.

Initially a great chair! After about a year, it begins to have issues. I have now gone through 2 of the chairs with normal office use. The 1st chair was immediately "squeaky". Enough to where my co-workers could tell anytime I adjusted while on Teams work calls. The 2nd chair the arm completely broke off. I had to continue to tighten the arm until it just completely popped off. I have contacted what I believe is their support team from past emails, and have yet to hear anything back on my current issue with the arm falling off. Either way, the idea of the chair is great for posture, but the longevity isnt there at all which is a shame. It would be great if Customer Support could get back to me after numerous emails their way.

I think the sweet spot if you’re like me and you’re on a tight budget because of college or whatever else would be something in the $200-$500 range. My favorites in this range are the staples Hyken or Dexley(around $300). Or maybe something from IKEA.

Ikeas best office chair is the Renberget and it's only $60 CDN, comes in one box you can put in a small car, and takes about 20 mins to assemble. 10/10 recommend saving the $700 and getting one of those instead

The right chair matters. I had a Ligne Roset Sala and loved it. Sold it with the Hyannis Port desk when I sold my house. I had no idea how much a chair matters until...I developed sciatica from sitting on cheap stools at my desk. Gave up my Pilates machine thinking that was the cause. I am searching for the right chair before I order another Sala.

I bought my chair for 10 bucks at Wal-Mart. It goes with my body at 5%, stable, doesn't have wheels to move around. I can fold it and smack people backside or head when I feel like it. It also hard to slouch as well.

They actually have that cradle accessory sold separately in Korea which you can put on any chair. It's the same thing

I have a the Herman Miller Embody and I have a Lay-ZBoy Ergonomic Mesh. When I work, I love the Herman Miller, and when I'm gaming I prefer the Lay-ZBoy
