I'm a concert photographer and swear by loop ear plugs. I often have to be stood right next to the speakers and my ears are so well protected with these!
Uh same, I started wearing the quiet ones 2 years ago at concerts and they always worked great fore me. I recently got the experience ones for free and could hear a difference between the two, which actually surprised me.
As an audiologist, thank you for bringing attention to hearing health! People don’t realize that tinnitus is not technically normal and can be an early indicator of damage to your hearing especially if you have a history of noise exposure like you and I. I’ve personally used these as well for concerts and I loved them. They do exactly what they are meant to!
gotta say to anyone who gets sensory overload, migraines, or has any neurodivergence really i seriously recommend loops. they are such a game changer for me because i live in chicago and it's so loud all the time. knocks my anxiety down several notches right away
Yes! Every time a RU-vidr I watch tries Loop earplugs, I have to jump on and comment. I wear them to events like hockey games and they help so much! I normally get headaches right away and overstimulated, but the earplugs help a lot. And I just have the base version. I also wear them to sleep in when my boyfriend's snoring gets obnoxious or I'm sharing a hotel room with friends. 10/10 recommend.
I had seen ads but finally got them when I was out at a club and my friend put his* in! I ordered the Experience ones for concerts and clubs, started using them at work too, then added Quiet to my collection because my ex snored terribly loud. I’ve given them as presents to nearly all of my friends, they’re extremely handy!
Soph, I used to work in a bridal shop store… and I studied fashion…and I have “soft” boobs that don’t choose to play with each other…my recommendation is to look into getting push up padding sewn into your dress if you can. The concept is similar to those Boomba things but it is more secure. Play around with placing padding in your dress to figure out how much you want/need for the look you want, then take it to a dressmaker to trouble shoot what they can achieve with your dress. Good luck! You’re going to look stunning no matter what!
@@giselled.4149 It's probably the same as she explained and recommended Soph to do. Because the reason it helps with push up, is it keeps the boobs where you want them. so if you (the person you hire) sew the padding in a place that doesn't push them up. The padding would still support your breast, even without the push.
That comment there from staceypower is exactly what I did for my wedding. I have no boobs (well I kind of do now but that's because I've had a baby) so I had the seemstress sew pushup pads in the existing corset top of my dress, my boobs looked phenomenal!
As a young person with a disability, HUEL has been a godsend that I can now make sure I'm getting all the important nutrition of a meal when I can't cook. Cajun Pasta from the hot and spicy menu is my favourite. The ready to drink shakes are also superb when I'm having trouble with chewing and swallowing 👌👌 Honestly 10/10 couldn't ask for a better range. It's the only thing that keeps me feeling strong when I can't cook or eat properly ❤❤
As a tinnitus sufferer, I can not stress enough how important protecting your ears can be. I have 24/7 a 7350hz ringing in my head. It's permanent and has been extremely detrimental to my mental health.
I just got diagnosed with it last year, I am 26 T_T I think it's work related for me bc I work in entertainment industry and I was right next to some middle-age explosives demonstration with no ear protection... I also don't wish it upon anyone T_T I spent months in absolute mental agony bc I am neurodivergent and sometimes I just need peace and quiet but this is a stimulus I literally can not ever run away from... it's absolutely horrible T_T
I work offshore on environmental surveys where the deck gets extremely loud and I’ve had significant hearing damage after 4 years in this field. Protect your hearing, gals and pals, it’s SO important! Gonna try these Loop ones for sure.
I love my loops. I have the quiets and the switch and they’re the best. I bought them for study/ sleep and sensory overload but I use my switches for EVERYTHING. Movies, musical theatre, concerts, the train, airplanes, the tea room at work… they’re incredible and have made it so much easier to go through the world honestly
The Loop Quiet ear plugs have been a game changer for me. We’ve got obnoxious neighbours that have insanely loud parties & we’ve suffered sleepless nights for years before I found these. They’ve been life savers for me! ❤❤
@@dompie23I use the Loop quiets to sleep (they're all silicone so theyre comfy) because my partner snores loudly and aggressively (😂) and I still hear my alarm! I haven't even got it on the loudest setting, it's just normal alarm volume I reckon. Give them a go honestly you won't look back 🙌🏽❤️ (I've also got the Loop Engage which are perfect for in the office - can tune out human noise and focus) xxxx
I love my loop earplugs! They are a bit pricy but I take them with me to uni and they help so much with cancelling noise which in return makes you focus better
hi! i got mine some time last year and went for the experience ones. which ones do you have? because i like the effect they have with filtering the noise but i wore them to a concert and when i sung along i heard myself double (i hope this makes sense?) which made me kind of uncomfortable…
I got the quiet ones but I use them all the time, especially when studying. I don’t go to concerts so I can’t help you there I’m sorry. But maybe they don’t fit you right if you don’t hear “right” in them? Is it like an echo?
So to be clear, they aren't earphones, you can't connect them to your phone and play music? I have wildly misinterpreted all those ads they've thrown at me then 😅
Got tinnitus at 17 because I played music.., panicked when I finally realised it would never go away again, and cried myself to sleep many times. I've learned to live with it, but I really don't wish it upon anyone. Glad that Soph has become aware and I hope others will begin to protect their ears as well!
I just got diagnosed with it last year, I am 26 T_T I think it's work related for me bc I work in entertainment industry and I was right next to some middle-age explosives demonstration with no ear protection... I have tinnitus and have had it for many years now and I can not sleep without a fan and the tv on (very very low volume). It’s just too quiet and all I’ll hear is that high pitched noise constantly
I have constant ringing in my ears not curable and it does not go away. If I am busy I can block it out. I need some kind of noise like tv or music in background or I can’t sleep
I promise you fresh pasta will have the same vitamins and be more easily absorbed! If you want to add protein to pasta though, add beans! Always an easy option 👌🏻
About the Milk blush... the ig / tiktok influencers forgot that's a blush tint/stain not a regular cream blush so of course like all cheek and lip tints/stains they tent to dry quickly so you gotta work in sections and blend it quickly. I personally love lip and cheek tints they look so natural on the skin 😍
as someone with mild tinnitus (at the ripe old age of 22), loops (and ear plugs in general) are a god send for protecting your hearing. Tinnitus is honestly infuriating and keeps me from sleeping at times (white noise helps) and causes headaches. Yes loops are pricey but I wouldn't wish tinnitus on anyone, so protect your ears!!!
I just got diagnosed with it last year, I am 26 T_T I think it's work related for me bc I work in entertainment industry and I was right next to some middle-age explosives demonstration with no ear protection... my best friend gave out loop earplugs as a bachelorette gift because they made her life so much better in new york and i love mine!! keep them on my key ring
As a lady with a touch of the ‘tism I couldn’t be without my loops. I have really bad noise sensitivity and get conscious wearing my big ear defenders in supermarkets etc but I don’t feel conscious with these at all. They block out all the background noise but I can still hear everything!!
In the UK live music venues are required by law to provide hearing protection for anyone attending, including staff. It’s so important!!! If you go to the bar and ask they’ll provide you with some of the foam ones you get in planes. They work surprisingly well but to reduce waste, it’s best to invest in some of your own. I see loads of people at gigs with them now. And the band will 100% be wearing them too.
Hii Sophh, so for the bra alternative/options - I use something called CAKES body! theyre so wonderful for any outfit that you can’t wear a traditional bra with but still want some coverage on the front. They dont have any adhesive so they hold with the thermal contact from your skin and any tightly/ skin fitting outfit you wear. They don’t give any cleavage they’re more just a cover but they are so so wonderful (just dropping here incase you want to check them out) x x x
thankyou for saying this, i have been trying to tell my son about listening to his music wit headphones on, so loud that the ppl on the space station can hear what he listens to
Swear by my Loop earplugs I tell everyone about them!! Perfect for flights (even better with noise cancelling headphones over the top), sleeping and general day to day when it’s just a bit too busy and loud. Boob tape is brilliant I have DDs and used this for a strapless/backless dress at a July wedding and it lasted all day! Just have to be patient and careful taking it off as it can rip the skin if you don’t soften before (I soaked it in shower and used baby oil just to be sure). Your makeup looks gorge in this video, a little tutorial would be amazing 🥰😍 x
I have the Loop experience earplugs and wear them to every concert and Rave, even at bars sometimes and they've changed my life. They not only protect my ears but help me with not getting overstimulated.
Lovely video, Soph, as always! From a musician/person who’s been around loud music all my life; I would 100% recommend everyone wore earplugs to concerts/festivals, etc. Your hearing absolutely suffers when you don’t, and the damage is usually gradual and when it gets bad it’s often irrevesible. Plus - the sound at concerts is pretty much engineered to be listened to with ear plugs! All the sound techs who are responsible for the sound are wearing them. So the music actually sounds better. It’s a common myth that you can’t hear the music very well with ear plugs and that’s not true at all. So I’d definitely recommend getting a good quality pair of ear plugs! 🖤 My tip is getting a pair meant for musicians/drummer in particular.
hey soph! there's a company called Purple Hearts jewellery who sell necklaces that you can attach your loops to! ive got one with stars dangling from it, just looks like a regular necklace 😊❤ xx
I got so excited when I saw you try the Loop earplugs, because I'm hard of hearing and I tried a lot of earplugs but once I tried Loop, I haven't looked back, it's been 2 years now. I wear them to concerts, to clubs, to the cinema if I'm whatching a loud action movie, or just on public transport in general. Truly life saver. ❤ On anouther note, I also have small boobs and my favourite way of going braless is putting on silicone nipple covers (similar to the ones you tried in the video just obviously smaller) and then putting body tape over the covers. The tapes secures the silicone pads in place even more, "blends" the edges of the pads so it's more seamless, and the tape's fabric texture makes the clothes not move away that much. All of these pruducts I use regularly and swear by them! 😘
Soph! Im going to a wedding abroad this summer. I was wondering if you could film like a wedding makeup that would last through heat! & any tips & products you would recommend to use. It would be really helpful! Thank you 🥰♥️
soph! i used to watch your videos so much a few years back and just recently rediscovered you on my feed. i've been rewatching all your videos, and even though i dont do my makeup much anymore, its just so much fun to watch you test stuff out!
Loops or ANY earplug are essential!! I love the loops because of the lil cute carrying case. Yes, I had to get my partner to adjust the loops for me. I go to post hardcore concerts and in my area I'd say like a good 40% of people wear (visible) earplugs which is great. So super important. It changes the feel of a concert to me slightly but it's worth it to protect your hearing
I am so proud of you and your personal growth. I’ve watched you since the grey hair days and even though I’m a lot older, it was so refreshing to find another person with the crippling anxiety as myself. The boomba part of the video shows your growth, and self confidence. I value your opinions about products because they are sincere and honest! I own something from all of your MUR colabs, repurchased the highlighter palette several times. I got the courage to start a makeup channel for us older folks and my 5 year old only granddaughter LOVES makeup now. When she wants to watch tutorials I pull your channel up and she watches your videos. She even made a video with her mama and sent it to me and asked me to put it on the WooToob so of course I uploaded it. I can’t wait to see the video or pics of your special day. Much love from across the pond -Jenny
I work in a concert environment and Loops are the best things ever! I can wear my radio earpiece on top of them and when I go into the auditorium my ears actually hurt if I don’t wear them
I will say, my partner is a huge Huel fan for when he doesnt want to think about his lunch. Apparently the mac & cheese flavor is awesome! I think he likes that curry too and a few others; and he likes the bars because they have SO much less sugar than all the stuff they sell in the grocery stores (Kind, etc). Also that shirt is one of the softest things I think he owns! I'm super interested in thos loop buds now!! Love these item review videos, you do a great relatable job with the content and it looks like you have fun making them!
Oh my goodness who would have thought that my addiction to videos such as yours would even begin to suggest a possible way to cope with my misophonia which has worsened after a very difficult year. Just ordering some loop earplugs, I am so excited I could cry!!!! Thank you so much, literally from the bottom of my heart
I wish that I had seen this video two years ago when I purchased my Boombas. I got both the style you did, and also the more oval shaped ones that fit better under sweetheart necklines and scoop necks (what I find I wear more often). I don’t use them on the regular by any means, maybe 6 times a year. But with that being said both pairs are still incredibly sticky and honestly I don’t follow their washing instructions. There is definitely a lot of trouble shooting to be done but once you get the shape right they can REALLY make a drastic difference. I’m a pretty shallow B cup and these make it look like I’m closer to a C. It can’t work miracles, but they have on multiple occasions assisted with boosting my confidence and self esteem in low cut tops. I personally would recommend them but only if you can find them for a discount because they are so pricy. In my experience they work best coupled with a push up bra to REALLY give that lift.
I love my loops ear plugs so much! I got them for download festival last year and they were such a game changer, I love how they don’t affect the music but my ears are so much happier:)) not having the post gig ear ringing has changed my life
Hey Soph! Try using the inserts by putting them on inside a push up bra. They won't come off and you won't see the shape of the insert 😀 ❤❤ Adore you xx
Ngl I love huel, been using it for years, my tips would be leave it to soak longer than they advise, and then microwave it to reheat and then it’s perfect. Also highly recommend the Cajun one
LOOP PROMO!!! i wish i discovered them earlier in life when i first started going to concerts. my hearing is so damaged i have constant ringing in my ears now, but by using the loop experience pros i’ve definitely limited the damage so i can still experience live shows for a while.
I have the loops experience and i have the case attached to my car keys and im rough with my car keys, and they have never fallen out, the case has never accidentally opened in my bag or anything. Ive had mine since 2020 and have never had issues. Love them so much! Theyre perfect for if you get overstimulated in shopping centres or need to get to sleep with noise around. I literally tell everyone about them hahaha
I've personally had the loop "quiet" ear plugs for a couple of years. I use them for migraines. I personally like them and they are easy to carry around because of the little case.
I wore the boomba on my wedding day and it was AMAZING! It does take a little time to get it adjusted. I found it easier to stick it to my skin first, lift my boob with the boomba, and then let my dress stick to it, rather than sticking it to my dress first. I’ve only worn it for my wedding, I don’t think it would really work with everyday clothes, but I loved it!
This was such a good video! You are so good at reviewing things Like never have I ever wanted to buy things from people sponsoring things and I know these are just general reviews but my god you sold me on those ear plugs!
I love my boombas!! I wear them way more often than I thought i would. I don’t necessarily use them to enhance size but they’re most useful for me with shirts that aren’t bra friendly. They’re also nice in swimsuits. I use a size much thinner than what you have, so it’s a bit easier to make them look natural
It is crazy how many people do not know about damage from concerts! I have worn earplugs since I was about 15- but I did study live sound. The switch earplugs are great so you can switch them when you want to talk to someone etc rather than taking them out. That tends to help with being able to regulate your speaking volume too I have the same pair from like 2017 so might be time to look for some new ones 😂
Love those loop ear plugs. I got them for my daughter for Christmas to help with her tinnitus and when she goes to concerts or in a crowd and they are worth the 25 I spent. They have surpassed my expectations and she absolutely loves them. She doesn’t leave home without them. 👍🏻 10\10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Tip for everyone that have the regular foam earplugs. Watch youtube video of army, police(gun users) videos to know how to apply them in the ear. Soph was right about rolling the earplugs to make them thin, so they fit and can expand once they're in the ear. What was not mentioned by soph though was that you have to pull your ear back a bit, so that the ear canal is 'open' before you push the plug in.
I have the switch loops and I love them!!! And they come with the new case too, I have extreme anxiety so definitely a new tool. Also love that you listen to country!
Loop quiets on a plane are a game changer! I had the experience ones as well but lost them at a concert (stupid old case!) , so will be upgrading to new pair via their website
When you put in earplugs, pull up on the top of your ear with your other hand (over your head). It makes it easier to get them set into place so they don't fall out
As a girlie who also struggles with sticky bras , I find that the side support ones don't really work because they don't give that natural shape you want. I agree that the boomba did end up giving a bit of a strange shape and they didn't look that supportive. Thanks for reviewing it because I nearly was influenced to buy one myself !! ❤❤
Hi Soph! 11:47 I really recommend reading ‘Ultra Processed People’ before diving into Huel - not saying at all you shouldn’t eat it, but it’s a fab book to give you all the facts about ‘complete’ foods like that and how they might not be as healthy as you think they are! Love your videos and you ❤
14:47 As someone with a constant ring and never any silence, please protect your ears. (I definitely agree that screaming contributes to your ears getting messed up. Went to a comedy show and it wasn't even close to how loud a concert was and yet someone behind me was screaming and reacting way louder than everyone else. my ears still feel meh a couple days later cause that person was sitting right behind me).
I’m so glad someone mentioned it because I wasn’t sure if it is just me. I was talking a lot softer with my Loops and I thought I was talking normally. Maybe because you can hear yourself louder so we speaker softer?
I had the same issues as you with the Boombas. It’s really frustrating because I really hoped they were going to work and feel comfortable. I’ve tried so many different tops and dresses and I can see the outline of the Boombas in everything and they stick funny. My seamstress for my wedding dress was able to sew cups into my dress though and that worked fantastically! I do have a recommendation on boob tape, I use the brand Good Lines and I have DDs. The tape works leaps and bounds better than the Boombas, I just have to work on my application. I am also giving Cakes a try right now. So far I like them but not on loose fitting clothing.
I LOVE my loop earplugs! I'm an audio technician so have to really look after my ears. I wear them every time I go to gigs or even on nights out when I know the music will be loud, lol. Can't stress enough how important ear health is!
Loops are an absolute GAME CHANGER for those of us with noise sensitivity as well. I love mine and own the Experience and the Engage so I can switch based on the environment. I'm planning on buying the Quiets before my next trip so I can block out airplane white noise. I'm glad to hear about the new case!
Hey Sophie, there was a programme on the TV about Huel. They first came out with a porridge type thing which was analysed in a lab. They said it was no better than normal porridge and the programme criticised it's marketing and high prices to the consumer. Huel were specifically using young influencers who they later found out were getting back handers...
Loops are the real deal! I have 2 pairs of the Experience Plus and I wear them to clubs and bars (I don’t go to concerts lol). They are incredible! They cancel out the screaming people and enhance the music, and I can clearly hear my friends talking to me with them in. They’re a one time investment in your health and are absolutely worth it.
That eye look is MADE FOR YOU! Also so sad you didn’t record it bc I love it! fox-eye kinda of vibes. I love trying ad videos! I know you felt like you lost some creativity/didn’t know what to post-but honestly just post whatever! More vlogs, testing stuff, house stuff, dog things 😂 I think we will all enjoy whatever you want to put out!
Am a Huel fan. Yeah, it's dinner porridge, a/k/a gruel, but I find most varieties tasty and it's filling without being overmuch for my surgically altered stomach. Also doesn't bother my IBS. The Cajun pasta and Mexican chili are my favourites. I agree that the tee shirt is really nice!
As someone who loves my loop earplugs I've worn them drunk, and at work, and full days and they haven't fallen out once! The only thing is you can feel them when you eat and if I need to hear every word a person says (for example at work) I take them out but I love them so much
I have the loop quiet for a while now and i have been known to wear them in just daily life too when i know im gonna be around loud people. I tend towards sound sensitive with the early stages of tinnitus. I find them great
As a nurospicey loops have changed my life!! I absolutely love them! Not only for loud environments but for day to day life!! Could not recommend them enough. Best purchase iv ever made
I know loops are the latest and greatest in earplugs, but I have been using eargasm earplugs for years and years and I LOVE them. They’re built to not block frequencies unevenly so you can still enjoy concerts without losing any of the depth of the sound. They’re also silicone of some sort and all clear, so they don’t get gross and sticky full of earwax in the same way. Granted, they’re a bit more expensive than loop so not as accessible, but if you’re someone looking for hearing protection while still enjoying your concerts, I love eargasms. They come in a great case too and don’t fall out of my ears, as someone with small ears.
Look for earrings for your loops. They have a hoop at the end of dangly earrings to hold your loops and let you put them in your ears but they safely hang from your ears if they fall out or if you take them out. Means you can put them in at home and leave them in until you return home and don't have to worry about losing them and have the option to take them out if needed. Made such a difference for me and I don't worry about losing them anymore on a night out.
So glad to see you’ll be using earplugs. Ear protection is so important! Sadly, that ringing in your ears is a sign of permanent hearing loss; once those cilia (hairs) in your cochlea are damaged, they will never be regenerated. And we only have so many! 😢 Prevention is the only way to ensure you will have healthy hearing into advanced age.
Normal earplugs also hold much better if you use them correctly. So roll them up, insert them into the ear canal and hold the position for 30 seconds. That helps.
As a follow member of IBTC ❤ I can recommend kinesiology tape if you want to get cleaveage looking nice. Plus it's much cheaper but takes a little bit of practice to master a proper way to tape. LOVE!❤❤❤❤
I sleep with loop earplugs every night and I LOVE them!! Ive used other type of silicone earplugs before and they were not too bad but the loop ones are the best ive tried!
With Huel their products defo need experimenting with to find what works for you. I use the vanilla gf powder and mix it in to a morning smoothie. Blending is much better than using the shaker. I agree I only wanted to buy one bag of powder and you have to buy two!!!
The hole in the ear plugs are to allow airflow to still keep your ears dry and clean, I wear hearing aids and they have airflow holes in the moulds too
Loop ear plugs have made such a difference for me, I got the Switch ones for work and study as I get really over stimulated by a lot of background noise and they have helped so much - I’m always recommending them! Also the Huel meals are a bit meh, you can make a lunch with as much (or more) protein that’s actually tasty and filled with the same nutrients! They’re kinda just a convenience lunch like pot noodle etc!
Hi Soph! Great video - I was going to suggest trying the regular Huel powder (if you do end up ordering again). I have this everyday for breakfast to make sure I’m getting enough protein, vitamins, nutrients etc and honestly swear by it! I would love to see what you think of it especially if you’re going to the gym ☺️ x
LOVE my loops, I wear them at the cinema and conferences and my in-laws’ family reunions lol I’m basically never without them-they make suchhhh a difference and I recommend to anyone with sensory sensitivity ❤
When I went to see BMTH I used Loop earplugs, sometimes I would take them out briefly to experience how loud it was and I couldn't believe how people just don't wear sound protection!
I’ve had my loop quiet ear buds for a year and I love them as a uni student in lectures I have one in one out when the lecturers talking ( my ear closest to the lecturer no loop ear bud my ear closer to students loop ear bud in.) just to reduce the noise of other peers also brilliant for library studying 📚
Love your testing videos. I’m currently test pink powder . I know you tested it,but I fancied seeing how it goes on dark skin. ❤I know some teachers and parents that use loop Earplugs just to reduce the high pitch tones but can still hear them. X
