I'm glad you voiced your honest opinion on the bloodhound skin. If it evolved DURING the match it would be somewhat justifyable , but not in its current state.
I think the blood hound skin would be worth it, IF they added a heirloom/heirloom shards with it. I think that would make it much more worth its asking price. (Now that I think about it, they should do that for all events, make a cool prestige skin with the heirloom. Maybe for a character that already got a heirloom)
Ik I've been wishing for heirlooms to come with custom finishers but this just feels like a genie wish kinda trick. Like we got what we wanted but with a twist
I think that the heirlooms should be things that are a huge flex of how skilled you are, not a flex of how lucky you are. This is why I think they should make it so it takes like 1 or 2 months just to get an heirloom, and you can’t buy them.
I like how the prestige skin is basically an heirloom (purely cosmetic item with no game play advantage that can be used by only one legend) but is not as good as an heirloom imo as you can't see much of it in game without using an emote

What they should have done with the skin was to make it like the fight night pathfinder skin from the fight night collection by taking the tier 3 version only, make it a legendary skin and sell it as a bundle with the finsher and some event packs

my list of apex legends as star wars characters since i didnt really side with yours: Pathfinder: K-2S0 (he is faster than c-3po so makes more sense) Octane: Commando droid (slim and very speedy) Valkyrie: Jet Trooper Gibby 1: Droideka (maybe some type of funny cosplay) Gibby 2: Baze Malbus (the big guy from rouge one) Caustic: Vader (chokes people) Lifeline: Leia (look at the hair) Bloodhound: Any Jedi (force sense abilities to track people)
I hope they learn from the feedback the community gives on this bloodhound skin. I like the 3rd skin and the finisher, I think they did a good job on the design. The execution for a prestige skin doesn‘t work well enough. Listen, I would have been more happy with a 30€ expansion pack playable campaign for bloodhound only to unlock the skin. That‘s my dream and wish that will never come true.
I'm with you on the Bloodhound skin but the other skins in the event are making me wanna grab all of the packs now. I didn't even check out the other items before watching your video
Yeah you put it perfectly like everyone else. If it changed during the match, and if you were given a voice line and mythic banner pose, I wouldn't mind it. Treat it like all other heirlooms
Not many people notice it/point it out but the final bloodhound prestige skin is obv meant to look like the predator. Which I think fits them (bloodhound) nicely
I feel like you should get the new skin if you have bloodhounds actual heirloom, but if they don’t make more skins for charecter s like this it will be kinda unfair
Macro you can get a star wars charm for apex, you have to install star wars the old republic on steam and that's it then you get a star wars gun charm.
Someone else said something about it it was like you’re not paying to see it you’re paying for the lobby to see it because it’s a skin you don’t really get to see it and the finisher most the time you won’t do a finisher
i think revenant as kylo ren would fit more, they both throw anger fits and fight in similar stances, agile, quick while darth vader is more tanky and slow
I was so hyped for this skin and was 100 percent gonna buy it. Now that I have to spent almost 200 dollars for it there is no way I will ever get it, and I am disappointed in that. They would have made more money if they just made it a skin you could buy, even if it was more expensive than the others.
1. I wish the prestige skin was a reactive skin instead. leveling up with every kill or every 500 damage or something. that would've been q better implementation in my opinion. it was a great idea in theory but poor execution, especially since you have to buy every other item. 2. I actually like everything in this event. the epics are nice, the holosprays are actually kinda good, the legendaries are hella good(except the dread pirates. not really a fan) and the free stuff is super cool too.
I wish to make it unique that did something cooler, like gray skins are just re-colors rare is pattern, epic is animated, legendary is custom model, why wouldn't they make this skin like a legendary but with animated parts, custom voiceline, custom effects for abilities, but no, they just did a finisher on a legendary where u have to grind to get the cool varient, only for the progress to reset anyways
Honestly it’s worth getting for all the other skins alone. The bloodhound skin is more of a bonus for me. I’m legit only getting it for all the skins cause there some of the nicest I’ve seen
u know just a theory: Prestige skin is bloodhounds pilot armor and helmet after he got chosen as apex predator if u see closely to prestige level3 skins eye it resembles pilot helmet shape pattern
