I have been in that situation before-drove a long while for something that was not as advertised. Strike one strike two strike three, shake hands, thank him for his time and walk away. But I will watch and see this project unfold-or crumble into dust!

Got rid of an 2001 lx civilian model it was so nice but a dinosaur in terms up being modern and horrible on gas and a cop magnet I’ve never been harassed by police until I was sitting in a crown Vic , these cars can be reliable but the p71’s are ran down and dogged out even with service intervals from the fleet company you never know if it’ll hold up

I don't get people. Unless they are selling a vehicle "As Is" why don't they make sure the vehicle will start and run before the you get there? The only problem here is the rusty underside. Everything else is easy. I'd like to see videos on how you clean up that underside because I have an old Vic with some of that rust in some of the same spots.

Find yourself a good rust encapsulator and spray the underside. Once dried you and cover it with paint or undercoat! That’s what I plan to do here! The encapsulator will stop the rust and the undercoating will keep it protected.

I would have sold you my 2010 CVPI for 5K. No rust, original exhaust, straight body. Dual spotlights, 5% tint all around (except windshield), new back seat,

Sounds like a nice rig! You have to keep in mind the Canadian market is a bit different. We don't like rust, but there's still a market for this car.

A religious (holy) car with no rockers, crusty underneath, rusty tank, no proof that the transmission works... That Yugo project will be a walk in the park, Jason. Over here (further East than you) those things were held together with the plastic rocker covers. Once the metal started rusting, they just disappeared. Sadly, I do have experience with replacing the lower 12" of Fords so I'm not just crappin' on ya. Been there. Done that (and I have pictures to prove it). Now I'm done with that. ;) But carry on. I'm sure you will prevail.

Those wheels are the wrong offset for that year, those are for a pre 02 car. Yours should have 17" steelies that are flush with fenders
