I used to race 1/8th nitro from around 2005 -2010 . I bought this compressor back then .......lasted all that time and I still have it . I've painted dozens of shells with it . I also painted a motoX bike with it too . Brilliant wee compressor
I own this compressor as well. Bought it as a set with the Fengda FE130 gun, a hose, and 5 colors of paint. It works like a charm, and so does the gun. I'm pretty sure you'd have to be a pro or real experienced to even notice a difference with the Iwata, especially if you polish it's needle. I'd like to see you compare those. I have owned this compressor for a month now, so I cannot speak for its longevity. The motor does tend to get pretty hot. I have about 4 days of continuous use of the compressor without any issue.
Good video. Be interesting to see it with a shell. Im using an old machine mart compressor with no tank so it constantly pumps and struggles to maintain 30 psi.
Don't know that much about airbrushes and compressors, but if I buy for example a H&S airbrush will it connect to this compressor or do I need to get an adaptor?
You don't need a double action airbrush if you're going to just blast paint and adjust your spray by adjusting the air pressure with the knob on your tank. You can do that by working on your finger control. You do have a high quality airbrush, and it will last you a lifetime if you maintain it properly. The compressor is fine as a starter, but if you're serious about airbrushing, you need a larger and better compressor.
Totally agree with all points, this is an ideal starter and well priced compressor that will do most a lifetime... pros should look for something more advanced If required!
