I think those of us who have an L322 should organise a get-together for all the L322 RU-vidrs - Sam's Motor and Machine, It's Joel, Ben's Garage, Lucy on Cars etc. could be quite a gathering.
Smoking deal, I paid that (in dollars) for a 25 year old Discovery. I found the easiest way to reduce my Rover’s carbon footprint and fuel bill was to do half my errands on a Vespa. Gets my average mpg from 18 to almost 50!
With a 2008 57 plate TDV8 sat in my shed awaiting a replacement cam cover (which won't be sorted until I get back to having a working hand!!) and a new air tank to fit as well - I am very much interested in this project. Well done
Excellent buy here Jason easy worth £4.5k on the open market with that history and mileage. Zambezi Silver lll same colour as mine, hope you keep this one. For what it's worth I just painted the rear inner arches with Ammerite rust in black after a Rubdown job done. All the best and keep the RR videos coming please
I have more or less the same, you got a good deal. Changed few air bags, lots of tweaking, service, brakes all that DIY stuff on mine, superb bargains. The lights on your are incredible, wonder how there so good? Same grill as mine but I don’t think they were standard.
Looks like an interesting bargain ... I'd make it also if I'd suc an opportunity. Now, I'm interested to watch your next videos on maintaining / upgrading / restoring ... Enjoy TDV8 8
Just came across your channel really enjoyed the video as i am after a tdv8 myself. You got a real bargain at that price. I have looked at loads on line and prices vary depending on mileage and service history. For every good one these seems to be 10 bad ones lol
To be fair, at that money, with that recent work, you’d be mad not too. I’ve heard Lanosil as offering pretty good rust protection and leaves a cleanish coating but does take a while to dry.
One thing I've noticed about the L322 is that the cream leather seats always get hammered on the driver's bolster, but the black seats always hold up way better to the abuse.
Grille is aftermarket as it has the supercharged black badge on front and green on the back change it to all black and the vents powerful uk as then tints and black wheels will look the nuts
Congratulations matey, £2750 is bang-on a bargain in my view. Just make sure you have plenty of beer tokens available for 'little jobs' in the near future. On the MPG front, on a steady run - 65-70 mph you should be able to achieve 35-38 mpg.
Being in the market for one of these (2007-09, petrol or diesel; I’m situated in Northern Europe) I’ve struggled to yet find one with decent history and previous owners + a reasonable deal. So it goes without saying it seems you got both here, congrats! Hope to see more L322 content on fixing small things and overall ownership experience and findings.
No Pearl and Dean ads? I think I’d like to own one of these at some point but only do about 6k miles a year and some of those bills alone would buy me a cheap runaround 😀
I love the l322 I've had 3 and I'm about to buy another 1 I've owned probably 30 cars and all kinds bmw,Mercedes, lexus, hummer,Cadillac, gmc and ranges take the cake for me💯
Think the grill and side vents have been changed. My 2008 has the bar style grill at the front and triple bars on the sides. Does yours have the straps to lift out the spare wheel? I retro fitted one in mine - best £40 spent - think they were fitted as standard until 2007 - LR money saving trick I guess. Don't underseal - check out Lanogaurd - not used it but it looks good. I'm gutted now - That price is a steal ffs lol. To be fair I bought mine pre the world going into melt down but I paid £6500 for my vogue with 100k miles - in similar nick (but the cracked cam cover - which didn't show up before I got the car typically!) Still love it and can't wait to get it fixed. Still cheaper than joining a Golf Club lol
Nice car but..............with ulez soon to cover inside the M25 and all these other clean air zones coming in, you will be limited to where you can drive this car without incurring charges. Unless you keep the petrol one and swap the plates over when you need to
Its quicker, and easier for me to take a train into London if I ever go. Which is quite rarely these days! I also have another car on the way thats a bit better on fuel ;)
I’m looking at getting the V8 petrol to replace my second car (my daily drive is a diesel RR Sport 2015 Autobiography) to use on my shoot. Currently got an old Ford Explorer 4.0ltr petrol. I thought petrol mainly because doing short journeys would be better than diesel because of the dreaded DPF filter clogging up or am I wrong to think that. Great price by the way and nice example.
@@TyredFormat Same, mine was my uncles. Well serviced at an Indi garage in London. He was gonna let it go to we buy any car as the LEZ expanded but now its Merseyside's problem 😄
I'm not sure that grille and side vent combination is correct. Those wheels are good though, personally I think they look great. As for fuel efficiency - see this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbUUEutbbKA.html
For the rust you should look at this - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vlggeZlSTm0.html looks like awesome stuff, probably just the job for those arches. All the best
Yeah I have a couple of videos scheduled to go live while I'm away with work, this is the first. Thought I'd tick the option and see what it does... apparently allows people to comment :)
