I was sitting here watching like "am dislike, no top speed test!" ...glad I watched the whole thing I guess 😆 ok now that i got the stupid joke out of the way, that thing looks fun as hell. i wish we got enough snow to justify having something like that lol

Even into the 2000s they had float gauge built into gas cap.

@@sghantous maybe on some but ski-doo was the first with electronic fuel guages on the dash. Going back to the late 80s early 90s. I'm surprised it's not on all models.

Had a ‘97 Formula 500 bought in the fall of ‘96, I had the coolest sled in high school! It had one downside - a really annoying bog around 5000 rpm, never showed up trail riding, but at low speeds it would surge. That issue was fixed with the 98s when they added RAVE valves to the engine. The ‘97 was great though, never left me stranded in 10k of riding. One minor issue was the flange that stops the recoil housing from rotating on the block sheared off and the recoil spun 180 degrees. 1 hour in the garage with some JB Weld and it was fixed. Never even had to change the belt in 10k!

@@throttle_therapy I should add, in ideal conditions it would top out between 90 and 95 mph (on the speedo, didn’t have gps to verify real speed back then). Ideal meaning rock hard snow on a super cold day. Regular packed trails you’d get 80-85 consistently.

I currently own one, the recoil rope is trash and rubs on something and it keeps snapping, also I'm not certain but I belive the CDI box is what causes it to act like it floods out after about 3 hours. But 30 mins of cool down time and it starts right back up

Had one, my favorite sled I owned, lightweight, super quick for a 500 LC. Also recommend switching out heavy skiis as well use RGK BR9EYA plugs over the std BR9ES plugs

my step dad just picked one of these up it seems like it's gana be good sled only diffrence is its a deluxe edition I don't know what the difference is tho it's also got a studded track

The deluxe has electric start, reverse and possibly dash mounted fuel and temp gauges (not sure on the gauges)

They do work. The needles are super thin and orange. They don't show up well on the gopro footage. If you look really close you can see them. Those black lines are just on the guage.
