Carrie, I really enjoyed this video! It would be great if you could do a follow-up in a few months to update if you are still using all these items and whether they were worth it. Maybe prior to Christmas so people know if they should ask for gifts, or when items might be on sale. Just a thought. Very much enjoy your videos and vlogs 😁

OHH! Also connected to this- if you do another "Testing That Girl Products" you could make a follow up to that as well but put them all together, so that you don't have to try to talk for as long about each one. A compilation vid of sorts. Or maybe a "How I Really Feel Abt Products I Tested in 2022"

As a certified kindle girlie myself, I would LOVE to recommend to you (and everybody frankly, my sisters are begging me to shut up about it): absolutely get yourself a library card if you don't already have one. I'm in the LA area and have a both a local card (for Pasadena public libraries) and an LA county public library card and I can't get enough. They have soooo many books available online so I just put a ton of books I want to read on hold and I get notification when those books are ready to be checked out and it's so damn convenient. Plus they have all the books I want to read but never got a chance to! It completely eliminated the guilt I sometimes felt buying books that I really wanted to read but then didn't enjoy. Or if I start a book and don't love it I can just virtually return it and move on with my life instead of trying to force myself to finish it because I spent 20 bucks on it. My philosophy for physical book lovers is that you can always buy the book after borrowing it if you absolutely love it!

As a runner it's so bizarre to see people wearing Hokas for functional fashion purposes instead of just protecting your feet while you run. I'm super intrigued now to see if they're shifting their marketing as more and more influencers wear them. also BEWARE using non-trail running Hokas for hiking!!!! They can roll your ankle really easily on trails.

let me tell you that hair dryer is NOT worth it! i’ve had mine for almost 2 years and tried about every tutorial, and I’m never fully satisfied with it. It’s super over hyped in my opinion and really gives one distinct hair style with the curling attachments. It’s either a straight look with the flat brush or a 60s/70s blowout with the hair curlers, and neither last very long. I’ve found the curls fall out in hours and the brush doesn’t fully straighten my hair. I always have to use another tool with the dyson to get my hair to look decent.

Here are my Kindle thoughts and recommendations. I’ve had one for almost a decade. 1. Buy a cover for the Kindle that can flip around back. I find that hand position more comfortable to hit the right spot to turn the page with my thumb. 2. Check out your local library. Most of them have ebooks that you can borrow to your Kindle without going into the library in person. Definitely has saved me money from buying books! You can always buy if you like it later. 3. A big benefit to the Kindle is going on a trip. I don’t need to figure out packing my books for a beach vacation, with backups if I don’t like something. All of that is on the kindle. 4. The kindle is great for building your vocabulary, in English or even if you’re working on a new language. Just click on the word you’re not sure about and there’s a definition. 5. See a character name and don’t remember who they are? Click and you can go back to the first time that character name was used. 6. Play with the backlight and the paper white will be plenty of light to read by in bed. Perfect for wanting to read when someone else in the room is asleep.

I loved this video! I'm so with you as a physical book lover. I didn't get a Kindle until last Christmas when my mother-in-law bought one for me and was like "TRUST ME". It's been six months and I still crave the feeling of a physical book, BUT I love it for a few things in particular: using it with my local library and the Libby app! Hello thousands of free ebooks! It's also amazing for travel, I went to Europe for two weeks this spring and didn't bring a single physical book (don't worry, I bought some while I was there 🙈), and still had tons of options in case my reading mood changed. And my single favorite thing about my kindle is that I have a paddle board and I adore paddling out to the middle of the lake with a lil wine and a snack and reading with my kindle. It's lightweight, it's waterproof, and it's so much easier to hold up while I'm laying down on the board. Every day that I float and read is the best day ever. I hope you learn to enjoy it as much as I do. It certainly hasn't kept me from buying ("too many" - my husband) physical books, but it is a net positive in my life!

Hey Carrie! I’ve had my AirPod Maxes for about a year now and I love them! The ear cushions are removable and magnetic! You can clean them with a damp cloth! You can also dip the headband in soapy water (upside down, so you don’t get the actual electronic parts wet) and also wipe clean! I also enjoy how long they stay charged! I can go a few days without having to charge them and I listen daily on my walks. Also! The round button controls volume! If you press it, it pauses the music for you. You can also have Siri read you notifications. You can access spatial speakers via your volume control center (when you turn your head, the music moves 👀!!!) They were expensive but I’m definitely getting my use out of them!

I didn’t even know a kindle was a “That Girl” product and I put one in my cart this morning. I am taking this as a sign to just go ahead and buy it. I am the worst reader so I am hoping this helps me. I love that I won’t be accumulating books that just sit on my shelf and gather dust.

I tried HOKA after breaking my foot because that brand was most recommended by my doctor for recovery but i could not get them to work for me, they were so painful in my arch on my good foot (i had a blister just from trying them on around the house!). I ended up with Brooks... so let me know when those are trendy lol

They are in style! Also the hokas come in two styles: one for running and one for walking. They can be hit or miss though but the soles are made for those two things.

Hokas are definitely the type of shoe that you should try on and walk around the store in before buying, but for me they work and feel great, for others it has been the opposite so I'm glad you were able to find a shoe that works well for you.

I didn't read for years (school and work had me too busy). Then once I had time again, I really didn't pick it back up until I got my kindle! I"ve read over 40 books this year because of it. I thought I would miss physical books but I don't think I can go back now! Being able to read in bed and not having to worry about how to see or a light being on after I fall asleep is a game changer!

I had a kindle for years from high school to college and think I read a book and a half on it. Definitely love physical books better. Jusy the smell of the bookstore, the book itself and flipping the pages and being able to see the read side grow thicker as I get towards the end of the book. Hence my book collection taking up a ton of space haha

I got a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas last year, and I love it! I’m a die-hard book girl, too, but the Kindle makes it so convenient to read on the go. It’s nice to have an entire library of options (especially on vacation) without hauling around a giant book bag. I also love how light it is, which only adds to the convenience of it! Welcome to the Kindle Convert family 🤣

Oh man, I’ve been a Kindle bitch for over a decade and love it so much. I’ve had my current Kindle for over 7 years, I think, so can vouch for their durability and longevity. Switching to an e-reader for most of my long-form reading has also made it super easy for me to buy direct from smaller publishers and/or direct from authors-my preferred way to buy books.

I’ve had a Kindle (I’m on my third one!) for years and years, and it’s been a game changer for me. I’m 100% a book lover, but I do love being able to throw my kindle in my bag whether I’m commuting or traveling cross-country or even just going to the doctor (bc you never know how long that wait is gonna be lol). It weighs basically nothing, plus the added bonuses of a battery that lasts for weeks AND no one can see what you’re reading 😇

I found I read faster on a kindle because I can change the font and the text size to fight eye fatigue. I am a dyslexic and the heavy bottom don’t makes all the difference in keeping my focus. Paper books take me three times longer to read.

Hokas are the choice of a lot of ultra marathoners, so they should be great for distance etc. The problem I had with the airpod pro max is that it was super heavy on my head and gave me a headache, I ended up returning them. My mom loves them. I’ve had more success with Bose quiet comfort. My favorites will always be my regular airpod pros.

I love my kindle!!! It really makes me read more! And there’s no distractions - it makes me stay off my phone with the doom scrolling. Use the library to save money. I always travel with it and can change books whenever I feel like it without bringing a bunch of physical books with me. I want the Dyson so bad but damn that’s way too expensive… guess I’ll have to wait a few more years for the price to come down. This is a great video!! More like this plz ☺️☺️☺️

I don't have the Apple headphones, but I do have the Bose Quiet Comfort noise cancelling headphones. They've been a fantastic purchase - I can wear them for hours with no discomfort (so soft) and they do a great job blocking noise. Will be awesome for travel. A great quality but lesser cost alternative to the Apple ones.

I love kindle and any other form of ebooks. I know that the usual hate ebooks get is that you lose the experience of having a physical book (turning pages )and getting that fresh book smell. However as someone who lives in a small apartment having the ability to own 100s of books in one tiny device is amazing! Also as someone with bad eyesight I like that you can make the font bigger. I like that you can book mark pages without worrying of damaging pages, i can write notes and highlight my favorite passages. Although this might be the most controversial aspect there are many websites only where you can download free books. As someone who was really poor as a teenager i relied on these websites to get access to a variety of books!

I just bought a kobo (similar to a kindle, but not from amazon) and I love it so much. I got a little red cover that makes it feel more like a book in my hands, but it's still easier to hold than a physical book and it's waterproof! I still buy books and picked up a ton at a library sale last weekend, I just download free versions of the books I already bought physical copies of so I can also read them on the e-reader when that's more convenient.

I had the same feeling about Dyson vacuums (thinking maybe they're overhyped) and then I got one second hand. It's amazing and I'd never buy a different brand. It's pretty light and it like coverts like a damn Transformer. Also about the Kindle, I have an older tablet that I use for reading only and I use all the different Kindle and reading apps. You can even borrow ebooks from the library of you're a member there. I also used to read a ton but I've been super busy and I almost make time to read a couple pages here and there.
