It hurt just a little to watch you ripping on that old treasure! I've got 3 of them, 1 like this and 2 of the amphibious versions that can cross a lake. I use them to get through the swamps here in Alaska. I don't rip on mine like that! I treat them as gently as possible. There's a lot of expensive parts in that suspension, and a new set of tracks is just shy of $2500. No question, they are super fun, maneuverable, and will go almost anywhere. Thanks for putting one back into the public eye! So cool that 90k people have seen this in 8 hours. Few people even know what they are.
@@D2DAJIZZELLE they are the ultimate machine here where I live. Lots of them around here, all with tracks mounted. $40k is a more than I want to invest just to go mucking through the swamp. Last year a bunch of us made a run to a friend's cabin 6 miles out in the swamp for a BBQ. 5 tracked Argos and my little Marsh Model Trackster. I went everywhere they could go, but it was a workout for the little rig.
@@LandersWorkshop Unfortunately when we're in the deep muck we don't usually get out and film, we're too busy trying not to get stuck. Here's a cool little video of a bunch of Argos in the snow though, shot from my snowmachine. The ladies decided it would be fun to do a snow rodeo lol. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xp3ZjOHvlxY.htmlsi=k2nnNz_dcBcB15Sr
Always an education with Billy! Over 70 years old and I've never heard or seen one of these! If I was younger I would have to have one. You could do some serious artifacts hunting with that! There would be no stopping you! Stay safe Billy!
Thank you for the laughs, sir. I always look forward to your one of a kind contraptions. Can't wait to see what you do with the 1974 Cushman Trackster.
You have introduced the ultimate vehicle to 'medical! A southern boys snow mobile-jet ski-tow truck-monster buggy- tractor-bass boat hybrid. Billy, you are genius!
Romans 1 kJV ✝️🩸 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. ✝️ Gospel 🩸 1 Corinthians 15 kJV 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2?By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: ✝️🩸 Romans 3 kJV 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 1 John 5 kJV 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
The ex military in me, combined with the current machinist in me, wants to put on steel combat treads to replace the rubber treads, and see how it does. Betting it will roughen the ride a bit, but make climbing over things easier. Also, I as born in 72 and never saw one of those things. Remember 6 wheelers, but never a tracked ATV. Awesome find, Billy!!!!
Back in the 1980s, my dad had two 6x6 ATVs. One had a steering wheel, the other had the two sticks. The one without the steering wheel was a bad ass vehicle. It had a back seat, no seatbelt but a handle to grab onto. Never once saw it get stuck, and it was an amphibious vehicle (land and water for you laymen who can't understand).
I feel like you could do a few simple mods to that a get a lot more power. Still won’t compare to a turbo diesel Ripsaw. Cool find though I’d cruise it around for sure.
This was made in 1974?! Ive never seen/heard of them till now. It looks great! The design of the control mechanism is INGENIUS! They really knew how to make things back then.
My wife and I love to see you be happy and smile. You could have public auctions and make some coin on your former projects of Merican history. TRUCK GANG! :)
I need me one of those😂. Ginger billy brings home a new toy every week or so, he gives his neighbors a show, what a great dude. He’s like A kid again in this machine 😂
Hell yeah, i got one of them, your never gonna get stuck in anything. Love my trackster and was so exited to see this, and your right itll leave your ears ringing
My five year old son is obsessed with you. We spend an hour just rewatching your videos at least three times a day. He's also obsessed with driving things... anything. And every time he sees this video, he has a fit. Cause he wants to drive and ride in that trackster.
Wow! That's really 50 years old?!?!?!? Amazing! Never even seen one of those. I think you may have an antique worth keeping there. Maybe don't chop it up too much? 😂
Remember the giant Belks catalog that came a few months before Christmas? I knew an old WWI vet who called it the wish and bet book. Wish you had it and bet you don't get it.
Garage i worked at in HS/College 2000-2012 had a three wheeled kushman miniature truck big enough for one man, a customer left there before i worked there and never picked it up until the doors in that 80yr old shop closed for good. This is way cooler; and that was the most enjoyable job i ever had, good ol days.
that is sweet ... i believe the exhaust should be upgraded along with the engine it's attached to. More power and faster is always better... Maybe a big track upgrade to really make it a mini Ripsaw
Ginger billy you should buy one of those beer coolers that you can ride! My neighbor bought those on Facebook marketplace and know he is riding around my neighborhood having the time of his life 😂
The proud offspring of a mini tank and a 4x4 I want one!!! 😂 looks like a lot of fun! 😂 Climb over the spurit, think very doable with a little ramp to get over the bumper. Also, have the emergency breaks engaged plus blocks behind the wheels.
Honestly, that thing is WAAAAAY cooler than a Ripsaw...mostly because the likelihood of killing yourself or causing massive property damage with it is roughly 1% that of the Ripsaw and you don't need a second mortgage to get one. Cushman's were made to work as well...so it should last another 50 years without much issue, just a little sand paper and primer each spring and some grease and oil every couple of seasons and she'll be fine
Not only is the trackster cool af, and you made me laugh all the way through. But I can imagine now GingerBilly turning this bad boy into the worlds smallest tank.😂
Ginger Billy, this is the last one of your videos that my wife watched prior to her death. She thought this was super funny! Good job! Keep it up. You made her life better with your creativity and humor!
It’s not on high bro lol that’s literally on low throttle. When you turn the throttle up the cable is so tight that it doesn’t even actually go to full throttle.
Maybe some adjustments will help. Anyway idk if you seen my other comment, a pedal throttle would be awsome to have on there, I'm jealous. Well anyway ...Truck Gang!!!!
Maybe you gave up too early on the car climb. Shoulda used your DOT approved wheel chocks to anchor the Festiver, then with that modified front end, ole Traxtor woulda clumb right on up. Keep on having fun!
Being in the great white north I would love one of those to work/ play in the snow . I had bought a Tera jet they are like a Argo but only 4 wheels and 4x4 was fun but no suspension. so killer on the back. Had more fun fixing it all the time than driving it around the property. Sold it for what I had in it.
That thing is in great shape for being 50 years old, and with all of the standing platform space around the entire machine, there is room for another 8 or 9 more people.
