Nice watching your video's! Small request: could you try to not tap on things? I'm super sensitive for that. It's my equivalent of scratching a blackboard. You're not doing it that much, so I could actually watch and enjoy mostly. I like the pace, you're going, you show things so well with the camera. I'm amazed at what you find, that will actually sell for such prices. Guess you know!

Merry Christmas all! My family has been hit by norovirus. Thank goodness we are flexible and switched up celebration plans to next weekend. My most treasured Christmas present I received this year came from my mom. She gifted me her Betty Crocker Cookie Book. She got it as a wedding gift in the 1960's. It's already displayed in my kitchen by my baking station.

I use vaces and candlesticks and glue a birdhouse on top. My sisters and others went wild for them. A fun craft !

That is a sweet grass basket from South Carolina. An art form still practiced to this day. Very expensive...even small baskets are pricey.

How did you determine artist? I have sold several of these but had no clue how you could find a name. Was it this particular shape. I think they also used dried palmetto berries as accents.

Sometimes you have to dig deep, in basketry there are signature styles artists are known for. I found this was Adeline's signature style.

The "marble" item you got is a quahog (clam) shell. It probably has plaster or something inside and it has been varnished or shellacked to make it shiny. You can get as many as you want in New England.
