The Blue hammer is the first ever hammer ball I have owned. Been bowling for 2 years and just shot my first ever 700 in league last night and bowled with the blue NU all three games. I am loving the new ball!.

looks like nu blue carries better when rolled on straight line vs shape it with right to left, or left to right arcing, first tournament of 2024 , looking mighty fine Packy....

Hey Pak one thing I learned many years ago is whenever I stopped carrying the corners then what I did was I moved my approach forward by 1/2 of my shoe and if that didn't work then I would move one half of my shoe backwards because the reason why I did this way to change the angle of the ball going in the pocket we know that leaving means 1/2 a board low or 1/2 a board high. You might just try this

Nice bowling overall. I guess those splits in the last session did you in. Packy, I am an older bowler ( 75 yrs ) that uses a Pitch Black. I can only bowl around 13 mph but my rev rate is decent. What do you think about me and a NU ball? I carry a 185 but my strike rate is low. My spare making is pretty good.

NU Blue is great, but it isn't anything like the Purple. For me it's complimentary

Got my blue NU today. I'm a 150-160 average. First three games with the blue; 155, 202 & 212. My personal best.

I LOVE my NU Blue, but that cover definitely needs a bigger core. I would pair it with the Attitude core and call it the NU Attitude. That ball would just print money.

Packy, See below: / / / I'm fairly certain I "know what's wrong" or "what isn't right enough" with the stronger blue ball but don't know how to express it given modern day inner workings of balls. (And 15 lb vs 16 lb plays a part too, but not that much.) In the early '80s you'd punch another ball with more 'negative side weight', close to the PBA allowable limit. I have no idea how that equates with today's weight-block placements & etc. Watching that blue ball go down the lanes this block was nerve-wracking, making me itch and giving me hives at the same time. I can only imagine what it was doing to you. Something wasn't right. It wasn't until you slowed the ball down in game 6 ( + -) and it held a nice arc that I finally put it all together; the pocket 7 & 9s, the 8 pin on jammed shots, not making it back when pulled into the oil, the funky little hook motion often when in the slot and especially the weird pinfall/action on strikes the further into the block things got (I could hear you talking to yourself on the pulled shots that wouldn't make it back...) I understand it isn't purple, but it is what you have to work with going forward. (To me, from back in my time, this is the same as when they outlawed soakers. Forty years later and it's still about ball hardness.) Point being: I don't think it will take much of a change to get blue really working for you. Look at it like a tire that isn't balanced quite properly. It doesn't take much of a change to get it rolling right. PS: If you don't care for nor want my insights, please just say something. I don't want to waste your time, or mine, ok? No animosity. This is just southpaw-to-southpaw, olde skool-talking-to-new school is all it is.

Here is what I am wondering. And yes while you have two different layouts.. would,you say that the NU Blue hammers are more side to side than the current/BoB purple hammers, which those are more front to back in motion? If so, I’m thinking that the NU Blue Hammers are more like the 2016-2017 banned Hopkinsville Purple Hammers, as those are more side to side than the Reynosa/BoB Purple Hammers. Thoughts?

I watched games 3 and 4, and didn't like the execution. Didn't control the breakpoint very well, and even though several shots looked good, the angle wasn't and hence the single pin leaves. Looking much better so far games 5 and 6.

The PBA National Tour is going to look a lot different this year.

7 pins were ugly, 8 pins were a punch in the gut. But I really hope you are aware of you strike percentage when falling off as opposed to solid balance at the foul line. Not a tough fix.

Should of went purple 💜 it's your money ball but great bowling carrying was not in your favor

To me it looks like you needed one drilled even weaker with the the same surface as the weaker of the two.....
