Dr. DLG you just keep knocking it out of the park when it comes to teaching us. So thankful how much you offer us. You put any and all doctors I've ever come in contact with over the past 40 yrs to shame... Complacent, non compassionate, quantity over quality of care. No teaching and piss pore examination screenings and exams. If other doctors aren't honoring and praising what you're doing maybe it's time for them to find another career! Love you & nurse LG, your team and all your research!!
I can’t tolerate Stevia. Stevia acts as a diuretic and a vasodilator on me. Ended up 4x’s in the ER in 2022. Cut out Stevia and I’m fine now. I still mainly use Erythritol & Allulose now. Lost 150lbs on low carb healthy eating. From 321lbs to 170lbs. 62 years old.
A GIGANTIC THANK YOU, Dr.!! Finally, a Doc who truly cares about natural health and understands how God designed our bodies! 🙌🏻🎉☝️. May you and your family be immensely blessed for all of your efforts!
Mind blown!!! Diabetic for 30+ years. Gastric bypass 7 years ago. Only eating these horrible products. With this knowledge I can and will do better!!! I can’t thank you enough for this information.
Gosh, I feel as though I just went to a “Sweeteners 101” class! I cannot thank you enough for this information! After I had pancreatitis/gallbladder attack last year, I had my gallbladder removed. Plus, they told me I had fatty liver and they did a biopsy because of scarring which turned out ok. I came home knowing I had to make lots of food, lifestyle changes so I started watching you and Dr Eric Berg on what do and how to do it. Not a fan of Keto so I do a Mediterranean style of eating, watch my carbs, processed foods, sugar etc. Really just a common sense approach. I’ve lost 50 lbs and still working on another 30 lbs. Thank you again for your research, your great advice, your good common sense approach when it comes to eating, food choices… practicality of these choices. I do take Terry Naturally Healthy Liver supplement. I cannot afford a lot of supplements! Better to make wiser choices in the kitchen than pop 20 supplements a day! I appreciate you!
Ohhhh my goodness I just LOOOOOVE your information delivery!!! You are so entertaining while educating us in the process!! Win-Win every.single.time!! Thanks as always!
I just love all your knowledge and the fact that you share it. I am a member of DLG and have learned so much. I really wish doctors were interested in this approach to health, its so discouraging to try and find a holistic doctor that doesn't write prescriptions for everything. Thank you a million times over!
Most discussions involving stevia are referring to the processed stevia which is usually combined with other chemical sweeteners and is bleached. Stevia is a PLANT; capitalized for emphasis. I grow stevia, dry it and use it raw in small amounts. I don't use it for dieting rather as a replacement for adding sugar to my beverages. I use it in my French press coffee or in herb tea infusions etc. I doubt it has the same problems as processed stevia. Get a plant (or 5) and it comes back every year in zone 8 up.
That was exactly my question.. they’re using stevia that is highly processed and has other ingredients. I actually grew stevia plant! Again.. it’s a PLANT!
Also the unique thing about Stevia is that it's a plant but the sweetness one tastes from it is not a plant sugar. I think that point is most often not discussed. It is a great sweetener in its unadulterated form
I use Stevia or Allulose. I need a much larger amount of Allulose to sweeten, but I understand that it's friendly to gut bacteria. The teeny spoon with Stevia indicates that much less is needed. It's organic, from the leaves. I make sure to stay away from the packets, since Maltodextrin is added. I'm okay with either of these.
@@kraka2oanIner I always opt for the plant in any scenario. Especially when it's a perennial and comes back annually and can be harvested at least three-four solid times in zone 8 and in greenhouses or indoors anywhere else. It's tricky to germinate but I e had luck early in spring to find good sized plants in Lowes or nurseries. They should carry more but they don't so keep a lookout. I would cover it outside in an ice or snow situation. For the most part I e had 8 plants for ten years and replaced 1 or 2 every third or fourth years of there's been bad weather
Doc, the title you gave those one is misleading. I sent it to a friend, and she told me she never uses artificial sweeteners so she wasn't going to watch it!!! Its so much more than that!!
This is such a good video. The biggest takeaway of this information is the phrase you used often is “ food by God”. Man is changing all natural foods by molecule changes (synthetic)to make the product they are making to take the place of a natural ingredient so they can register the new product as theirs. Then they have to try to get rid of the natural. Problem is, what did the molecule they got rid of do to the true nutrient that the molecule give us? Evidently a bunch as we are all having health issues that you brought out. Thanks for this.
THANK YOU DR LIVINGOOD! This is so well put together - that chart makes everything so clear! This is worth sharing with everyone I know, including my doctors. So blessed to have found this lifestyle and the education that is coming with it. I never liked science before but thanks to your teaching, I'm becoming a science geek! DLG for Life!
Stevia is easy to keep the plant alive indoors. Different types and levels of sweetness in plants. I bought mine in April and it's producing new leaves inside as well as it did outside in a shady back yard. Just a few fresh leaves in my coffee mug is as sweet as a packet of processed.
Thank you for this in-depth and detailed research. I love your presentation. I have been listening to your RU-vid videos for months and have participated in several challenges and master classes. I realized that I was addicted to sugar and switched from sugar to Splenda about 10 years ago. Last month I realized that I had become addicted to Splenda so I switched to monk fruit per your suggestion. The aftertaste is not palatable but I remind myself that I did not like Splenda when I first switched to it. Again, thank you for teaching proper nutrition to all of us.
Raw local honey can also be fermented with organic garlic to make a very good natural antibiotic. I keep this in stock at my house and at the first sign of a sinus infection or respiratory issue, I take the fermented garlic with honey. Works wonders! :)
OMG Dr. Thank you so much for this. I currently use Splenda occasionally and coffee syrups with sucralose. I really needed to hear this. I'm always making changes as I learn more. 💕
Thank you for the time, energy, research and education on WHY and WHAT these do in our body!!! It explains why ive segraded over the years, why my dad passed, an why my mom passed. They thought they were doing the correct thing per doctors orders. 😢
Wow! It never gets old to check out your videos. Thank you for the amazing knowledge you share; I just hope you can continue the good work. Btw, I make my 14yo son watch all your videos cause I believe they’re truly invaluable 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you!
I had googled Ace-K and it looked fine to me so I was puzzled why Whole Foods bans it, but now thanks to your video I have some specific search terms to use for further study.
If you can find it, Buckwheat honey has been compared to manuka honey (not exactly the same but closer and less expensive). It's darker with a stronger taste and may not be local necessarily.
This is an excellent compilation of information in a good format easy to retrieve. One question on acesulfame…I am assuming with that name it has sulfa which I am allergic to?
I've also read that when your body processes sugar it makes its own erythritol. That's probably why there was so much in the bodies of those who already had heart and stroke issues. From the sugar not the added erythritol. They did not even say how much erythritol the subjects consumed!
I use Monk Fruit in my coffee every more. I can’t tell the taste difference from results sugar. What do u think? It’s saids keto friendly and doesn’t raise your blood glucose area.
I have oral lichen plants and use products with xylitol as rinses or toothpaste or Biotene. I haven’t used it internally . Would it be ok in lozenges for dry mouth?
Stevia negatively affects my teeth & gums. I'm sure I was overdoing it for a bit, in the morning raw food meal replacement shake, in my tea. Cut it down to just that morning shake, and now have cut that out almost entirely. My gums and tooth sensitivity are now recovering.
This is such great info. Wish I had access to this info as a teenager! Also how can we get a class in the schools to teach this ! If I was younger id fight for this in schools boards and and a degree to teach it!!!!
So, I just literally found out how dangerous tocopherols are.I was about to take my vitamin D3,K2,+4 immune boosters and thought I should check it when I found out these indeed contain tocopherols. This is very disturbing unless I'm missing something.Could you please explain.Thank you.

I started sweeteners . When they first came out. I lost some weight. But I hope Splendor is a best. That what I use today. I also drink sugar free coke. My doctor advise me to stop drinking regular coke due to become a diabetic. I am not a diabetic.
My wife is a diabetic, so we have no cane sugar in the house. Any and all of the artificial sweetners give me an instant headache, even MSG. Has to be bad for you.

I even called the monk fruit brand Lakanto previously because they include erythritol and it gives me stomach distress. I asked if I can buy monk fruit without it. They said they used to sell it by itself but not anymore. So I would like to know what brand DLG recommends.
I SUPER-APPRECIATE Dr. Livingood. I have his free book; I generally follow his great advice. I could use a BIT more hiit, but at least I ride my bike every day & play lots of pickleball(!). I'm agnostic, and NOT a Bible-thumper. That being stated, I GET it when he declares "this is made by GOD...", so it's likely to be more beneficial. This guy's a true warrior against our overly monetary-based (non) system of for-profit Capitalism, and I appreciate it. You GO, Doc!! So will I...

19:42 hold on- I thought coconut sugar was made from the nectar of the flower, not from the meat of the coconut. So how would it have fat and fiber in it?
I watch this yesterday, sorta a bit long to go through it all without skipping through. Thought about this this morning I put about 10 to 15 g of D ribose in my coffee every morning. Anyhow, I don’t recall you mentioning D ribose. I know it’s not a normal sweetener and that’s not what I use it for. But it is a sugar I think.
Xylitol is okay in moderation as long as it’s not sourced from GMO corn. Sorbitol can be manufactured from Corn Syrup and Mannitol has a lengthy list of side effects and contraindications! Both can cause gastrointestinal discomfort. We'd recommend a different gum. ❤️ We have some great product recommendations on our Amazon Market Page 😊 amazon.pulse.ly/ohgbo7oa4f -LGD Team
Coconut or Coconut Palm Sugar isn't made from coconuts, it's made from the Coconut Palm flowers' nectar. Whereas Palm sugar is made from the sap of many varieties of Palm trees, not just Coconut Palm trees.
Growing up, I had molasses and maple syrup, real maple syrup, and the real molasses which came in a can and now I don’t even use them but maybe I should continue using them. I would think I was healthier, so I try to convert back to things that my mother fed us when we were kids fruits vegetables, maple syrup, molasses, and so forth
For seizures, I recommend you join us for a challenge to get your foundations in place. go.drlivingood.com/Lifestyle-Membership Incorporating healthy fats and our omegas will also be important. I'd also look into finding a corrective chiropractor near you! DLG is published in a study that focuses on restoring the cervical curve in your neck, as a result, the patient's seizures had stopped. I did read the article. I did suffer a compression fracture T5-T7 13 years ago. When I asked if maybe that combined with my neck issue could be the cause, I was just looked at oddly. And I'll have to look into if my insurance would even cover chiropractic care. Thank you for taking the time to answer me, though.
