Broke one of mine also the same way. Was photographing soccer and leaned back to grab my bag. CRACK! Fell over backwards, feet up in the sky. Few people saw it and we laughed together.

Yeah the telescoping stool is the truth. There’s a cushion for it also that definitely helps soften up the seat, got it off Amazon.

I got mine a long time ago too, my first one also broke due to user error, brought it to the beach and tried sitting on it in the sand, the sand shifted and that was a rap. I use it to sit on when in line to donate plasma because those lines are LONG. Love to see these stools getting the recognition they deserve.

Aldi has em for $10 w/o charger this week. I would have repurposed the strap....3 leash destroying dogs here.
