I Broke Samsung Z Flip 5 Screen - Service Center REVIEW! 

for anyone wondering about the fold screen replacement here is my experience basically I bought fold 4 in Jan 2023 and within 6 months of using the fold the inner screen of the fold stopped working completely even though I did not dropped the fold within 6 months of usage practically babyed the fold but still this issue came so I went to the service centre the next day to show the phone they saw the issue and told me they will have to keep the fold for 2-3 weeks and they returned my sim card and told me to back up your data if you have any as the phone will be restored to the factory setting and then I got a call from samsung in 5 days they told me that your fold has a manufacturing defect. so it was covered under warranty and it took like 1 month for my fold to get fix because when inner screen of fold is changed they also changed the battery of the fold so you get an added advantage of a new battery. The only drawback is they took about 1 Month to fix such a premium phone of samsung.

Screen Repair charge 25k 😮 Me who plans to buy a phone under 20k for last 3 months 😂

They used to change the whole middle chassi which is comes along with the display, that's why you felt the change in the hinge.

I recently got my S21 FE 888 repaired from a service centre in Lucknow . It was motherboard issue I was not getting any network in it. As it bought it on Diwali and it was under warranty with no physical or water damege so they repaired it for free. Surprisingly they fixed the whole issue in 2 days and the phone was good as new.

Being a Samsung employee If you completely remove the screen protector from any flip or fold phone, they will consider your phone in out of warranty, so don't remove the screen protector by yourself

I had Flip 4 and the hinge out of blue got stuck. I went to the service center. They took in the phone. They repaired the phone under warranty, they basically changed the entire chasis and the batteries. The only thing from the old phone was the outer display, glass panel and the motherboard. Everything else, including batteries were new.

The way you ripped that screen guard with blade, it was very obvious that it has been done intentionally. You should've just pulled it from the edges and keep the screen guard on.

Oh god, you can hear my heart shatter from a city away...

Samsung will be watching this. Companies will hence question the customers with real issues

I will like to add this note: When iphone is charging people freaking 35k just for the back.... Why can't samsung do it for the display? For me, if a company is making innovation in the industry and taking risk then I'm definitely going to support it. It basically boils down to the fact as to what they are charging you for. Foldable displays are no joke and repairing them will cost you... So I will say that the company did a right thing.

instead of removing it completely, you should have just removed it partially, and told them it is coming out on it's own. Removing completely is so obvious that you deliberately did that. Anyone could tell that and void the warranty.

So, I kept my Flip 5 on my office desk, and a colleague accidentally sat on it while it was in the closed position😅. Somehow, its hinge and the screen crease got damaged due to her weight. I went to the Samsung service center, and they asked for 30K to repair, which is quite justified from a flagship phone perspective. However, the time they quoted for the repair was 3 weeks, which is not at all acceptable from a brand like Samsung, given their well-established supply chain for child parts, especially in a city like Bangalore. After giving the phone for just 1 day, they called me and said that the device was repaired, asking me to collect the phone. I am so confused because their software seems so off, the approximate time they provided was not even close to the actual time taken. Anyway, I am happy with the service experience, but they really need to update that software or whatever it is. 😅

Let me tell you something. I am telling this as being a smartphone technician. The screen damage which you have done, for that, the whole assembly has been replaced. You are thinking the hinge is being a bit resistive after receiving it from the service centre. But nope. Almost every brand except apple, replaces the whole display assembly. The screen itself is stuck to the metal frame, and usually brands never do the jugaadbaazi for the frame. And since the hinge is also attached to it, you just got a new set of hinges along with the frame and display. That's it.

While Samsung provide 1-2 days reparing service, Redmi take it 3-4 month & still want a new extended date. My very bad quality of of service experience ever😢.

I dropped razr 40 ultra a few times. Display had become a little weird around the hinge. Moto service centre replaced the entire body along with screen after which hinge got better and that too within warranty. 🥰

PLEASE NOTE: The experience varies from case to case a lot. I had the screen replaced of my Fold 4 last September (2023) in Gurgaon, and it took them good 26 days to repair my phone. Though the cost was justified (55k), which was 100% covered by my free ADLD insurance as I bought the phone from samsung corporate website. I only had to pay 2k as processing charges.

I bought a phone in Hoi chi minh city Vietnam on 15th June 2024 in the store. On 10th July, I saw a black line and later phone stopped working. There is no physical damage. Samsung customer service in India verified and It is a defective piece. Store where I purchased phone said international warranty works and I am in India now. I went to the Samsung Customer service center and they said warranty is not covered for the product here Please let me know how can we resolve this as it's not even a month I bought the phone. Attached photos of the receipt and phone. The Samsung India site shows that there is warranty but why is that everybody declining that there is no warranty for my mobile. I had a samsung phone and it fell in water, I took it to local shop and that guy said it can be repaired for 2000 rs but still I went to samsung and they clearly said it cannot be repaired, so to avoid confusion I took it to another shop and they said it cannot be repaired. So point I am trying to make here is that samsung was hones with me. Also my other phone LG Nexus fell in water along with this but those guys repaired it for 2500rs and stopped working in one month😢😢 and no warranty on service. Proud samsung owner

what if there is damaged protection plan where screen is replaced if damaged by user so they charge the exact amount or repair it for free of cost because we bought the damaged protevtion plan
