Srsly am I the only that thinks this? The down on some of these cards are massive. All it takes is for another market correction downward for all of those cards to literally gap downwards another 20%.
You aren’t wrong at all. There’s a lot cheaper ways to make a couple hundred bucks then buying a 9k card and hoping it goes up $500. God forbid one of these guys rolls an ankle or worse.
profit is profit dont be so greedy there's a reason he has sold the amount he has and does it for a living you can't maximize every single flip take your profits and move on to another card
You realize these cards aren’t going to be worth big money. Stars like Lebron’s cards are on the decline. Modern is such a waste if it is for investment. Dealers are laughing
I didn’t even mention Kobe. Anyone paying big money for manufactured, manipulated modern cards deserves to lose big money. There should never be an Anthony Edwards card or any of the new guys at 5 figures.😂
vintage is boring and stagnant the players are all dead or not playing so it doesn't leave much room for investments to quickly move like modern where a player like Wemby can put up another record any given time in the season and his cards will shoot up in value because of the hype
As a long time collector, the gambling in the industry has gotten out of hand. I recall when no one even bought football cards and only some basketball in the recent past. Now you have unproven players being purchased at crazy levels only to try and flip to the next unknowing sucker. This crash will be fun to watch
Agreed. Also at least with vintage it’s something different as far as the videos go. Every RU-vidr buys/flips these exact same cards. Every video is set up the same & uses the same annoying music lol
That Orange Prizm /49 Wemby in a PSA 10 is insanely high population surprisingly. There are 26 PSA 10s and only a handful of psa 9s. That's more 10s than some optic holo autos for qbs. Man if anything happens to Wemby at all it will be a bloodbath on his cards.
All of this modern stuff will continue to nose-dive. Think hard about vintage cards, which not only hold their value- they steadily increase year over year.
It's way more expensive at the shows cuz u get it graded same day. If u sent cards by mail to psa its far cheaper but takes like 2 months. Plus PSA also upcharges cards that are super expensive. So that 300 he spend was including a upcharge cuz of how expensive the card is
