Hey suddenly so many new faces here, thanks for your input everyone! Btw I still have a give away running, you might check the latest "updates" video if you like to participate.
This is absolutely fantastic - I can't believe it only has 196 views. You just earned a subscriber and fan in me! Keep up the great work, don't compromise on your vision!
Mate it's absolutely criminal that you only have 600 subscribers :O Your cinematography and storytelling style is such a breath of fresh air, like we're literally there in the mountains with you
With Leica 35 and 90 and such a great combo. Both lenses together are still significantly smaller than the zooms I used to carry. Especially if you go 35/2 and 90/4. My old Elmar-C 90/4 literally fits in my pocket. The D Lux held up! The shots with foliage against the mountain backdrop looks like promo images for someone's preset pack! Looking forward to watching this channel grow, which it obviously will. Head and shoulders above a lot of content out there doing well already.
@@paullichte Nice! I want to pick one up one day. Really like the physical handling on the summarit lenses. I'm on third party for now, as buying the body was already more than I shoulda been spending 🙃
Great cinematography. It's worth noting that most people these days see photos on their phones and even on a laptop, the little camera holds up fine. You would have to zoom in or be looking for flaws to notice them. Which nobody has the time or inclination to do. All tools have limitations. Photography is light, frame and story. Everything else is secondary.
I can't understand why you have so few subscribers. This video is beautifully made and go so far to compliment the incredible photographs you take both on the D-Lux and while experimenting with the M6. Such an inspiration to just make beautiful art regardless of the tools at hand well done!
Lovely images from the D Lux. It is true to my experience with the Leica M digital that underexposure (-1 to -3) would yield lovely rich images. I can vouch for that. I use the M9, M240 and M10 while still retaining my film M2, M4P and M6. Hope to see more of your lovely images. Thank you
Wow! There are some lovely images in this video. I can't say I've seen any images of the Alps like the ones at the end with ice floating in what looks like a caldera, well done!
Leica M6 is quite the expensive film camera. I don't think I could convince myself to buy one. I like shooting film, but it is SO tedious. And I have to pay to have the chemicals properly disposed of. So that's why I kind of moved away from film. Still, you have some nice images here for a 3mp camera. I would like to see this camera compared to a similar camera from the same era, like a Sony 3mp. I'm just not convinced the Leica is better just because of the name. Maybe you can do that in your next video.
understandable decision, film has some disadvantages indeed. I don't think the D Lux is that special either but still works solidly regardless of its age.
They still are. Panasonic sells “Leica” branded MFT lenses and the “new” Leica D Lux 8 and the whole D Lux Series are basically Panasonic cameras with Leica branding and UI.
