The sack and fall of Rome in 476 marks the end of many things but today, in EU4, it marks the beginning of West Rome! That's right, we're restoring the Roman Empire from it's smallest and weakest point! This EU4 mod is the extended timeline mod and is one of the best eu4 mods out there! This EU4 challenge though... it awful. It's just the worst.

12:36 "Why do I have land here?" My best guess? Rebels enforced their demands there, since you have Cores all over Italy, some roman separatists must have sieged down that land and flipped to you.

You know at the earliest start date of the extended time line mod you can play as indo-greeks. I would love to see a video of the rebirth of the Alexander empire from a one province in the middle of Afghanistan 😂

It's also got a massive custom mission tree that includes going past the historical imperial borders (i.e. Scotland/Ireland), and once you get things established as a regional power, you get the scripted events for the rise of the Rashidun caliphate which is a hell of a challenge.

It would greatly make your fans happy, not only because we get to se you in pain, but also because we like seeing you play nations that have a hard start, though you might not like returning to the save, it would greatly satiate us, the fans, to se you continue the save. In the ET mod during Migration Age, barbarians can use a decision to declare war against Rome, West Rome, Byzantium and/or Gallia to migrate into their territory. That's why you kept getting declared on.

You know something is low effort when latin name for Blegrade is Belgradon instead of Sirmium, and for Niš is Nysos instead of Naissus. Great gameplay, btw. I would have died on the Ostrogoth's attack, I don't know how Laith is pulling this off. XD

@Dylan Dog You're right, thank you for correcting me. Although I wrote this late at night, it doesn't excuse me. I swpped the names of Sremska Mitrovica and Beograd. Still doesn't change the fact that it is called Belgradon when it should be Singidunum. Thank you again for spotting the mistake.

Did they change the province shapes in this mod? I recently did a Romania run and I hated that once I got Transylvania I looked like a uneven blob and not at all what the modern or historical Romanian borders looked like but in this mod I can see them a lot better.

I've always been fascinated by this period at the very end of antiquity and the beginning of the "dark ages" and early Medieval period it's a time of chaos and great change in Europe , the Middle East, and North Africa and the first time in a long time Rome did not dominate the Mediterranean basin its a smaller much more local world now its an incredibly fascinating period

This is so much easier, if you ally Byzantium day 1. All the Barbarian tribes no cb u, if thy have more number than you- not Byzantium. So you can quickly steamroll eastern Europe. The next stage is to use them to destroy italy. Then Pu Byzantium. (Savescum if their ruler gets a heir) Then give away all of their land to people you declared war on. Then annex them. Simple, and you can cut of 100 years of the final vid. Tl;dr Ally Byzantium
