SaaS is expensive if you have no technical co-founders.
@mr0sage
@mr0sage 27 дней назад
Not necessarily because here are some real powerful SaaS products that can be white labelled. This has some significant downsides (e.g. in terms of selling the business, you don't own the underlying tech so it will be harder to find a buyer and it will sell for a lot less) but there is also massive upside in terms of affordability and getting started in SaaS for a non-technical founder. But if you main aim is to create a shit ton of revenue and profit with SaaS and you are not a techy type, then it's a good route to go down.

There are a lot of inconsistencies here. 1/ If they (were) fulfilling manually, how do they generate 1k-10k actual leads for a client of them, especially in a day? 2/ If they use their previous contacts, well first of all I doubt it is agreed by those in the list to sell their data left and right.. , but even so, then it's not 80something days, but years in the making. 3/ The rest I won't write now.

5:30 I think you took the completely wrong lesson out of this by saying he started it with 0 dollars... He's saying very correctly that a SaaS costs a lot of money (especially marketing and being able to survive until your MRR is high enough). To be able to start that without any initial funds, you can start an agency and provide services. This allows you to learn the business and then come up with ways to do it more efficiently. This solves the problem of having no money, as you already get paid for the services, while you can find product market fit, as you are literally in the market.
